Prestige High Noon Evelynn

First time I saw Prestige High Noon Evelynn load into my game I had to double-take the splash. The white and gold color shift from the base High Noon hits completely different. Been running Evelynn on and off since season 8, and something about this Prestige variant just clicks harder than the standard version. Not gonna lie, the moment I unlocked it through the Mythic shop rotation last spring I knew it was staying in my skin rotation permanently.

What the Prestige version actually changes

So the base High Noon Evelynn already brought the demon-cowgirl fantasy pretty hard. The Prestige takes that concept and dips it in white gold. Evelynn’s lashers get this bright divine glow instead of the darker infernal tones. Feels like they went from “outlaw demon” to “fallen angel with a six-shooter.” Big shift in vibe.

VFX got the Prestige treatment across the board. Her Q hatespike missiles trail golden particles that linger on the ground for a second. Her W charm buildup has this radiant halo effect around the target, which honestly reads cleaner in teamfights than the base version. Could be wrong here but I think the visibility on the charm indicator is actually better with Prestige, makes it easier to track when the proc is ready. Her E whiplash leaves golden slash marks, and the ult execution dive has white-gold burst particles on impact.

The recall animation keeps the High Noon fantasy. Evelynn does this dramatic reveal sequence with her lashers fanning out in golden light. Pretty clean animation. No new voice lines though, voice stays default, which is fine because Mara Junot’s base VO for Evelynn already carries enough personality for any skin.

One thing that surprised me playing this around 1 AM on a Thursday ranked session: the passive camouflage shimmer looks slightly different. The stealth particles pick up the white-gold tone, so when you’re stalking through river toward bot lane specifically, there’s this faint luminous quality. Might be overthinking it but it feels more visible to enemies than base High Noon’s darker stealth effect. Something to keep in mind if you play her in higher elos where people actually watch for the shimmer.

Release context and the High Noon line

Prestige High Noon Evelynn dropped March 20, 2024. Mid-season 14. Alsie Lau nailed the splash, the composition puts Evelynn in this ethereal desert-divine pose that works way better than most Prestige splashes I’ve seen. Lot of Prestige skins feel like lazy recolors in the splash department. This one doesnt.

The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s most consistent themes. Western gothic with demonic undertones. Evelynn fits the fantasy naturally because her entire kit revolves around lurking and striking from shadows, which maps perfectly onto the mysterious gunslinger archetype. The base High Noon Evelynn already nailed it, and the Prestige elevates without losing identity.

No chromas on this one, which makes sense for a Mythic tier skin. Prestige skins never get chromas. The white-gold palette is the whole point. Availability is through the Mythic shop rotation, so shop has it when it cycles through. You need Mythic Essence to grab it, standard Prestige pricing.

(Random aside: this splash has been my desktop wallpaper since March and nobody at work has commented on it yet, which either means my coworkers dont play League or they’re judging silently.)

How it compares to other Evelynn skins

Evelynn has a stacked skin lineup. K/DA and K/DA All Out are the popular picks. Coven Evelynn is arguably her best thematic fit. Spirit Blossom brought the weeb energy. Blood Moon is clean but dated. So where does Prestige High Noon land?

Top three. Easy. The VFX quality on this is S-tier for a Prestige skin. Most Prestige variants feel like chromas with extra steps, but this one genuinely transforms the color story enough that it reads as its own skin in-game. Spammed this in Diamond for maybe 40 games after release and the golden particles on Q poke in lane feel so satisfying when you’re zoning the enemy jungler off scuttle pre-6.

The only knock is that white-gold skins can look washed out on certain map areas. River and lighter terrain sections sometimes eat the particle contrast. Not a dealbreaker but I noticed it during a couple dragon fights where my ult VFX blended into the pit walls. Season 9 I think Riot fixed similar issues with other light-colored skins but this one still has moments.

The honest take

Should you spend Mythic Essence on Prestige High Noon Evelynn? If you main Evelynn and already have the base High Noon, this is a strong pickup. The VFX upgrade from base to Prestige is more noticeable than most Prestige variants. Top pick for Evelynn mains who want something that stands out in the loading screen.

If you dont play Evelynn regularly, save your ME. The skin is gorgeous but Mythic Essence is a limited resource and there’s always another Prestige rotation coming. For Evelynn one-tricks though, this sits comfortably next to Coven as her best cosmetic option. Real talk though, the golden Q particles alone make ganking feel 30% more satisfying, and in a game where mental momentum matters, that counts for something.
