First time I saw Prestige Broken Covenant Miss Fortune load in, I thought someone modded their client. The gold and white palette on MF hit so different from what I expected out of the Broken Covenant line. Been running this in Diamond for a couple months after finally rolling it, and honestly not gonna lie, the prestige version outclasses the base Broken Covenant by a mile. Not even close.
How Prestige Broken Covenant changes Miss Fortune
The whole model gets the prestige treatment. White and gold replace the darker tones of the base skin, and Miss Fortune’s outfit leans into this celestial priestess vibe that the regular version only hints at. Her guns get reworked with golden accents that catch light during auto attacks. Clean.
VFX got a proper refresh here. Her Q bounces leave these golden trails that actually read well in teamfights, which matters more than people think. Played maybe 200 games with this skin and I can tell you the Double Up particles are crisp enough that you can track the bounce target without squinting. Her E, Make It Rain, drops these white-gold shards instead of the standard bullets. Looks like some divine judgment raining down on bot lane specifically.
The ult is where it gets interesting though. Bullet Time sprays golden projectiles across the screen and the whole thing feels heavier than base MF ult. Not sure if it’s just me but the sound design pairs with the visuals in a way that makes it feel like youre dealing more damage. Placebo for sure, but I’ll take it. The recall animation is new too. Miss Fortune does this ritual-style recall that ties into the Broken Covenant theme, kneeling with her guns crossed. Three things stood out: ult VFX, recall animation, the auto attack feel.
Voice lines stay base though. No VO refresh, which is expected for a prestige skin. Standard voice, same lines you’ve heard since forever on Miss Fortune. Kinda feels like a missed opportunity given how much the visual identity changes, but thats how prestige skins work across the board.
The Broken Covenant line and release context
Broken Covenant dropped March 9, 2023. Mid season 13 if I remember right. The skinline pulled from this dark religious cult aesthetic, and Miss Fortune, Riven, Cho’Gath, Nocturne, Rakan, and Xayah all got skins in the batch. Riot went heavy on the thematic that patch.
Terence ‘Terrylefruit’ Cantal handled the artwork on the splash. They captured this fallen angel energy perfectly. Miss Fortune standing with her guns in what looks like a corrupted cathedral, gold light pouring through stained glass behind her. It’s one of those splashes that works as a standalone piece of art. (random aside: this splash has been my Discord profile banner since it came out and nobody’s identified the champion yet)
The Broken Covenant line is one of Riot’s more underrated thematic sets. It doesn’t get the hype that Spirit Blossom or Star Guardian pulls, but the execution across all the skins was solid. Miss Fortune fits the priestess role naturally. She’s already got that commanding presence in her base design, and the covenant robes amplify it.
This is a Mythic tier skin with Special pricing. You’re not buying this one off the shelf for RP. Available through the prestige shop or Mythic Essence, depending on rotation. Could be wrong here but I think it cycled through the ME shop at least twice since launch. Shop has it through the mythic rotation system.
Worth the grind for Miss Fortune mains?
Real verdict: if you’re an ADC player who locks in Miss Fortune regularly, this is a top pick. The prestige version genuinely improves on the base Broken Covenant skin in every visual category. Gold and white reads better than the dark purple of the standard version, especially in lane where you want your abilities to pop against the Rift’s green tones.
Been spamming this in Diamond ranked last Tuesday around 2 AM during a loss streak and even tilted out of my mind I appreciated how good the ult looked. That says something. The VFX clarity is real, not just cosmetic fluff. When you’re trying to peel for yourself in a late-game teamfight, being able to track your own abilities matters.
No chromas on this one, which makes sense for a prestige skin. The gold-white color scheme is the whole point. Zero chromas available.
Compared to other Miss Fortune skins, this competes with Gun Goddess for visual impact but in a completely different direction. Gun Goddess is the Ultimate tech showcase, Prestige Broken Covenant is the refined aesthetic choice. For mains who already own Star Guardian or Bewitching, this fills a different slot in your collection. The divine theme doesnt overlap with anything else in her lineup.
Straight talk: S-tier Miss Fortune cosmetic. The Mythic grind or ME cost is justified if you main her. Maybe just my experience but every time I see another MF player lock this in during champ select, I know they’re serious about the champion. Seen maybe 5 of these in my games all season, so the exclusivity factor is real. Worth the effort for Miss Fortune one-tricks, easy skip if you only pull her out as a counterpick once a month.
