Warwick Skins

16 skins available

Warwick's skin catalog is one of those collections that tells you exactly how long a champion's been in the game. Sixteen skins spanning from 2010 to 2024, and honestly the quality gap between his oldest stuff and the newer releases is wild. Been a Warwick player on and off since season 3, mostly as a jungle comfort pick when I need something braindead to climb with after a loss streak. His skins range from "why does this exist" to genuinely impressive, and I think thats part of what makes collecting them fun. Not every skin needs to be a banger. Some just need to exist so you appreciate the good ones more.

How Warwick's Skin Collection Shaped Up Over the Years

Sixteen skins total. Nine Standards, six Epics, and one Mythic prestige. For a champion who's been around since literally the beginning of League, that number feels about right. Maybe even a little low compared to someone like Lux or Ezreal, but Warwick was never the poster child for skin sales. He's the reliable jungle pick your top laner locks in when autofilled, not the flashy mid lane assassin Riot loves to dress up.

The oldest skin in the lineup is Big Bad Warwick from 2010. Yeah. 2010. That skin predates most of the current playerbase. Could be wrong here but I think it was one of the first novelty skins Riot ever made, the whole "big bad wolf" fairytale angle. It's charming in a retro way. The newest drop is Arcane Vander Warwick from 2024, which ties into the show and honestly carries some weight just from the narrative connection alone.

The real turning point for Warwick skins was his 2017 rework. Everything before that got updated visuals, and everything after was designed for the new model. Night and day difference. Pre-rework Warwick skins were basically texture swaps on a pizza feet model. Post-rework, Riot actually had a solid base to work with. The wolf fantasy finally clicked.

What's interesting is the gap years. Warwick went long stretches without new skins, then got clusters. Lunar Guardian dropped in 2018, PROJECT in 2021, then Old God and Winterblessed came relatively close together. Riot remembers he exists every few years, dumps two skins, then goes quiet again. Standard cycle for non-popular champions honestly. (Random sidebar: I checked my match history and I've played more Warwick games than I'd like to admit this season alone.)

Best Warwick Skins Worth Your RP

Real talk though. If you're a Warwick main or even just someone who jungles him occasionally, you need to know which skins actually feel different in game versus which ones are just splash art bait.

Old God Warwick at 1350 RP is my top pick. Full stop. The eldritch horror angle fits Warwick's predator fantasy so well it almost feels like it should have been his base design. The Q lunge has this sickly green corruption effect, W blood trail looks like dark tendrils spreading across the ground, and his R - the ult leap - leaves this massive impact crater that just screams "something ancient just landed on you." Been running this in Diamond for maybe 60 games and the visual clarity is surprisingly clean for how busy the effects look in the splash. Spammed it all through last split.

PROJECT: Warwick comes in second. 1350 RP, cyberpunk wolf aesthetic. The tech overlay on his abilities reads well, especially the E fear zone which gets this hexagonal barrier look. Honestly not gonna lie, the recall animation alone sold me. He's getting rebuilt in a lab, piece by piece. Cool stuff. The skin feels fast somehow, even though obviously movement speed doesn't change. Something about the running animation just hits different on the PROJECT model.

Lunar Guardian Warwick is gorgeous. Another 1350 RP Epic. The Eastern mythology dragon-dog look works, the golden VFX on Q and R pop hard against the Rift's darker maps. Played this one exclusively during Lunar Revel 2018 and for months after. The W blood hunt trail turns into this golden mist and its genuinely one of the better tracking effects in the game. Makes you feel like an actual predator on the hunt.

Winterblessed Warwick and its Prestige variant round out the top five. The base Winterblessed at 1350 is solid, ice wolf vibes with blue-white VFX across all abilities. Clean. The Prestige version cranks the luxury up with gold accents and refined particles. Not sure if it's just me but the Prestige feels like it has slightly smoother animations, probably placebo though. The Mythic tier prestige is obviously harder to get than a regular shop skin, so factor that in.

Kinda feels like Warwick got lucky with his Epic skins. Four strong options at 1350, any of them would be a solid lock-in for ranked.

Skinlines and How They Fit the Wolf

Warwick shows up across a bunch of skinlines but not all of them land equally. The Marauder line gave us Marauder Warwick which is fine. Generic dark warrior wolf. Nothing special but nothing offensive either. Standard fare.

The Urf the Manatee skinline is where things get weird. Urfwick exists as this legacy meme skin that costs an absurd amount of Blue Essence when it shows up. The original Urf the Manatee skin from way back is a collector's piece more than anything you'd actually use in ranked. I think I've seen maybe two Urfwick players in my games across all of last season. It's a flex pick in the cosmetic sense, not a practical one.

Storybook gave us Big Bad Warwick. Cute concept. Wolf in grandma's clothing, Little Red Riding Hood reference. Holds up surprisingly well post-rework for a skin from 2010. (Unrelated but my duo partner bought this as a joke and then never took it off for three months straight. Said it was "psychological warfare" in loading screen.)

The themes that genuinely work best for Warwick are the darker or more monstrous ones. Old God, PROJECT, Feral. Anything that leans into the beast angle rather than trying to make him cute or comedic. He's a blood-hunting werewolf. The skin fantasy works best when the skin respects that identity instead of fighting it. Freljord and Infernal are older skinlines that gave him Tundra Hunter and Firefang respectively. Both decent budget options from the pre-rework era that got visual updates.

Road Warrior Warwick exists too. Mad Max vibes. Not gonna lie, it's mid. Looks like a rejected extra from a post-apocalypse B-movie. Some people love it for the meme factor, and fair enough, but I've never once thought "yeah Road Warrior is the play tonight" before a ranked session.

Budget Picks vs Premium Warwick Skins

The price range on Warwick skins goes from 520 RP budget options all the way up to the Prestige Mythic tier. Big spread. For someone just picking up Warwick and wanting one skin to start, the answer depends on how much you care.

If you want the best value per RP spent, Hyena Warwick at a Standard price is honestly underrated. Unique laugh animation, the hyena aesthetic is distinct enough from base to feel like a real skin. It punches above its weight class. Been playing this when I want something lighter in normals and it still holds up.

Budget tier - Tundra Hunter, Feral, Big Bad. All cheap, all functional. They change the look enough that you're not staring at base Warwick, but dont expect new VFX or anything beyond model and texture work. These are season 2 era designs with rework polish. Good enough for the price.

At the 1350 bracket you've got four legitimate choices and honestly any of them justify the price. Old God if you want dark fantasy, PROJECT for sci-fi, Lunar Guardian for Eastern mythology, Winterblessed for winter magic. Pick whichever theme speaks to you. Could be coping but I think all four are above average for the 1350 tier compared to other champions' Epic skins.

No Legendary skin for Warwick yet. Interesting. Sixteen skins and not a single 1820. Might be Riot saving that slot for a future event, or maybe Warwick's playrate doesnt justify the investment. Either way, his Epics are good enough that the absence doesn't sting too much. Fair warning though, if you're climbing with Warwick and want every advantage in mental game, a good skin helps you feel locked in. Placebo or not.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Warwick have?

Sixteen skins total as of 2024. Nine Standards, six Epics, and one Mythic Prestige. Solid collection for a champion who's been around since the early days of League. Not the biggest catalog but there's enough variety that you won't get bored cycling through them in ranked.

What is the best Warwick skin?

Old God Warwick. 1350 RP, eldritch horror theme, every ability gets distinct dark VFX. The ult impact feels massive. Been my go-to Warwick skin since it dropped and I keep coming back to it over PROJECT and Lunar Guardian. Personal preference obviously but the community seems to agree on this one.

What is the cheapest Warwick skin?

Several of his Standard skins sit at 520 RP. Big Bad Warwick, Tundra Hunter, Feral Warwick. All budget options from the early days. They got updated with his 2017 rework so they look way better than you'd expect for the price. Hyena Warwick is also cheap and probably the best value of the bunch.

Does Warwick have a Legendary skin?

Nope. No Legendary for Warwick yet. Sixteen skins and zero at the 1820 tier. Feels like an oversight honestly. His Epics at 1350 are strong enough to partially fill that gap but a full Legendary with new voice lines and unique animations would be something. Maybe someday. Riot if you're reading this.

What skinlines is Warwick in?

He's spread across a bunch. Marauder, Urf the Manatee, Storybook (Big Bad Warwick), Freljord, Silver Age, Infernal, Road Warrior, plus the bigger modern lines like PROJECT, Old God, Winterblessed, and Lunar Guardian. Wide range from silly to serious. The darker themed lines fit him best in my experience.

Does Warwick have chromas?

Some of his newer Epics have chromas available. Winterblessed and Old God both got chroma sets. The older Standard skins dont have any though, which makes sense given their age. If you want color variety, stick with the 1350 tier skins where Riot actually invested in chroma packs.

When was Warwick's last skin released?

Arcane Vander Warwick dropped in 2024, tied to the Arcane show's second season. Before that it was the Winterblessed pair in late 2023. Warwick gets skins in bursts then goes quiet for a while. Typical cycle for mid-popularity champions. Could see another one in 2025 but no guarantees.

Is Warwick worth buying skins for?

If you jungle regularly, absolutely. Warwick is one of those champions who's always viable in solo queue regardless of meta. Simple kit, strong ganking, scales okay. Having a skin you enjoy makes the grind better. Grab Old God or PROJECT at 1350 and you're set for seasons. No regrets from me after hundreds of games.
