Prestige Spirit Blossom Teemo

First time I saw Prestige Spirit Blossom Teemo load in, I genuinely thought my client bugged out. The gold tint on everything felt overwhelming for about two seconds. Then the recall animation played and I just sat there nodding. Riot knew what they were doing with this one. Been running this in Diamond since season 10 and the skin still holds up, which says something considering how many Teemo skins exist at this point.

What the Prestige version actually changes

So the base Spirit Blossom Teemo already reworked the entire kit visually. Prestige Spirit Blossom Teemo takes that and dips everything in white and gold. Sounds lazy on paper. In practice it reads way cleaner than the base pink and purple palette, especially in teamfights where particle clarity matters.

The Q dart gets this golden trail that pops against the Rift’s green. Honest moment. Not sure if it’s just me but the blinding dart feels slightly more visible to enemies too, which could be a downside if youre trying to catch people off guard in lane. The W passive leaves faint golden wisps when you sprint through brush. Subtle touch, easy to miss, but it’s there.

E poison ticks show these tiny golden petals floating off the target. Three or four games in you stop noticing them consciously, but they add texture to the auto-attack rhythm that base Teemo completely lacks. The R shrooms are where the real money went. Each mushroom has this ornate golden casing with spirit energy swirling around it. Placing them in river around dragon pit last Tuesday felt like decorating for some kind of divine tea party. The explosion VFX when someone walks into one is chef’s kiss territory.

Recall animation keeps the spirit realm theme but with the prestige color shift. Teemo meditates surrounded by golden petals and spirit butterflies. Could be wrong here but I think the recall is identical in animation to the base Spirit Blossom version, just recolored. Still looks great. Voice lines stay base, no new VO with this one.

The Spirit Blossom event and how this dropped

Spirit Blossom hit live July 22, 2020. Mid-season 10. The whole event was Riot’s take on an Ionian spirit festival, heavily inspired by Japanese folklore. Dylan Deng nailed the splash for this prestige variant. The composition puts Teemo in this ethereal golden forest clearing that works as phone wallpaper material (random aside: it was my lock screen for like four months straight).

The Spirit Blossom skinline is one of Riot’s strongest thematic efforts. Yasuo, Thresh, Ahri, Lillia, Vayne, Kindred all got skins in the same batch. Teemo’s inclusion made sense given his connection to Bandle City and the spirit world lore they were building. The prestige version was the chase piece of the event pass.

This is a Mythic tier skin. No standard RP price tag, you had to grind event tokens or get lucky later through Mythic Essence. Available now through the Mythic shop rotation. No chromas exist for the prestige version, which makes sense since the whole point is the exclusive golden colorway.

Playing ranked with the golden rat

Real talk though. Teemo mains fall into two camps with prestige skins. Some think the gold draws too much attention in lane and prefer staying subtle with something like Omega Squad. Others want their opponent tilted from champ select. Spammed this in Diamond for maybe 30 games one weekend back in season 12 and I noticed something. People target you harder. Could be coping but I swear junglers path top more when they see the prestige border loading in.

The skin performs well in actual gameplay. Shroom visibility is comparable to base Spirit Blossom, maybe slightly harder to spot in river because the gold blends with certain lighting. Your Q animation is smooth, no clunkiness on the cast. Auto attacks feel crisp. Had a game where my Kayn jungle kept pinging my shrooms asking what skin that was, so the VFX definitely stand out to teammates too.

One thing that bugs me slightly. The golden color palette can wash out a bit on lower graphics settings. Played one session on my laptop at medium settings and the petals lost a lot of their detail. On high or ultra though, no complaints.

Should you chase this skin?

Verdict time. Prestige Spirit Blossom Teemo sits in an interesting spot. It’s not the flashiest Teemo skin, that title probably goes to Little Devil or Beemo depending on your taste. But it’s the most elegant one. The golden Spirit Blossom aesthetic ages well. Five years later and it still looks premium.

Top pick for Teemo mains who want something exclusive without going full meme mode. If you already own the base Spirit Blossom Teemo, the prestige version is different enough to justify. The VFX color shift genuinely changes how the kit reads in game. If you dont main Teemo though, spending Mythic Essence here over other prestige options is a harder sell. Kinda feels like the skin rewards you more the more games you put into the champion, those little golden details on E ticks and shroom placements only register when you’re paying attention to your own kit constantly.

Been daily driving this as my go-to Teemo skin since it rotated back into the Mythic shop. The Spirit Blossom line earned its reputation and the prestige variant is the polished version of an already strong concept. For Teemo one-tricks specifically, this is the one.
