Poro Rider Sejuani

First time I saw this skin in a loading screen I actually laughed out loud. Not in a bad way. Sejuani riding a massive poro instead of Bristle is one of those concepts that sounds ridiculous on paper and somehow works perfectly in game. Been running this since season 5 and it still gets reactions in lobby chat.

What the skin actually changes

The big thing here is obvious: Bristle is gone, replaced by an oversized poro with a saddle. The poro waddles and bounces in a way that makes Sejuani feel completely different to pilot even though the kit is identical. Her Q charge has the poro doing this headfirst lunge that looks goofy and aggressive at the same time. Hard to explain.

VFX got a winter treatment across the board. Her W swings leave these icy blue trails, and the E proc has a satisfying frost burst. Not gonna lie, the R is where it really shines though. Glacial Prison sends out what looks like a giant poro-shaped projectile. Landing a five-man ult in a teamfight with a flying poro is peak League. Had a game last Thursday where I caught three people at dragon pit with it and my jungler typed “poro diff” in all chat.

The recall animation is new too. Sejuani pulls out a poro snack and feeds her mount, the poro gets all excited and wiggles. Small detail but it adds personality. Voice lines stay base, no new VO on this one. For 975 RP thats expected.

The Winter Wonder line and release context

Poro Rider Sejuani dropped December 15, 2014. Right in that holiday patch window Riot used to do every year. Jean ‘Curing’ Go handled the artwork and the splash captures the vibe: Sejuani charging through the Freljord on her poro mount with snowflakes everywhere. Clean composition.

Part of the Winter Wonder skinline. The line has some solid entries across champions but Poro Rider stands out because it commits fully to the poro theme instead of just slapping winter textures on existing models. Feels like the team had fun making this one. The Winter Wonder skins from that era hit different compared to some of the more recent holiday releases.

There’s 1 chroma available, the Tenfold Triumph variant. Red and gold color scheme, gives the poro a festive look. Kinda feels like a Lunar New Year crossover honestly. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever, gotta wait for the vault to open or get lucky with Hextech crafting.

Should you pick up Poro Rider Sejuani?

Real verdict: if you play Sejuani at all, this is one of her best skins. Maybe the best for the price. 975 RP is fair for what you get considering the model swap alone carries the whole thing. Been maining Sejuani on and off since season 6 I think or 7 dont remember, and this stays in my rotation constantly.

The competition in her skin catalog is mostly serious warrior fantasy stuff. Bear Cavalry, Firecracker, Project. All fine skins. But Poro Rider has personality that none of them match. (Random aside: my duo partner refuses to play with me when I use this skin because the poro bouncing distracts him in lane.) If you’re a Sejuani main climbing through ranked and want something that actually stands out in the Rift, this is the one. Could be wrong here but I think this ages better than most of her catalog. S-tier Sejuani cosmetic for sure.
