Firecracker Diana

First game I played with Firecracker Diana was late January 2022, right when it dropped. Locked it in for a ranked Diana jungle game around midnight and the VFX caught me off guard in the best way. The whole kit feels like you’re launching fireworks across the Rift. Not gonna lie, I wasnt expecting much from another Lunar Revel skin but this one hits different on Diana specifically.

What Firecracker Diana actually brings to the table

The Q is the standout here. Crescent Strike trails sparks and pops of red and gold that read clean against every jungle camp background. Been running this in Diamond for a few seasons now and the particle clarity is solid even in chaotic teamfights where you’re trying to dive the backline. The W shield orbs look like little lanterns orbiting Diana, which is a nice touch that doesn’t clutter your screen when you’re trying to peel or engage.

E pull-in gets a burst of firework particles. Simple change – huge impact on how satisfying the ability feels when you land it on two or three people in dragon pit. Her R, the ult reset, trails golden sparks as Diana dashes between targets. Spammed this in maybe 40 games over two weeks when it first came out and the R VFX never got old. You know what surprised me? The recall animation. Diana launches a whole firework display and it looks genuinely good, not the lazy recall some Epic skins ship with.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO which is expected at 1350 RP. Standard for the tier.

The Firecracker line and where Diana fits

Released January 26, 2022. Season 12, right around Lunar New Year. West Studio nailed the splash, the composition with Diana mid-leap surrounded by firework explosions captures the energy the skin delivers in game. The Lunar Revel Firecracker skinline has been one of Riot’s more consistent thematic sets over the years. Diana fits naturally into the aesthetic because her crescent blade works as a firework launcher without forcing the fantasy.

9 chromas total. Tanzanite is my go-to, the deep purple contrasts hard against the default red and gold palette and reads like a completely different skin. Golden Tiger is the event-exclusive one and it leans into the Lunar New Year theme even harder with that orange and green combo. Obsidian goes dark which I think works better for jungle mains who want something less flashy in lane prio situations. (Random aside: the Golden Tiger chroma name alone made me buy the bundle, could not resist.)

Kinda feels like Riot put real effort into this batch. Firecracker Diana dropped alongside other Firecracker skins that patch and Diana’s version arguably got the best VFX treatment of the set. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever. Gotta wait for the vault rotation or get lucky with Hextech crafting.

Is Firecracker Diana worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: if you main Diana, this is a strong pickup. Maybe not her absolute best skin but it competes. The VFX are clean, the thematic is cohesive, and 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Could be wrong here but I think this edges out Blood Moon Diana for pure visual quality even though Blood Moon has the more “serious” vibe that some one-tricks prefer.

Been maining Diana with this skin on and off since season 12 and keep coming back to it. The firework particles on Q and R just make jungle clear feel better, which sounds dumb but matters when you’re grinding ranked games at 2 AM on a Tuesday. Had a game last week where I ulted four people at Baron and the screen lit up like actual New Year’s. Top pick for Diana mains who want something colorful without going full meme. Skip it if you already own three Diana skins and dont play her in ranked, but for anyone climbing with Diana this season its an easy recommend.
