Beast Hunter Sejuani

First time I saw Beast Hunter Sejuani in a loading screen I thought someone was running a custom skin. The whole prehistoric vibe caught me off guard. Wasnt expecting Riot to take Sejuani in that direction but honestly it works better than it should. Primal. Raw. The kind of skin that makes you feel like you’re charging into a teamfight on something that actually wants to eat the enemy backline.

What Beast Hunter Sejuani actually changes

So for a 750 RP Standard tier skin, you’re getting a solid model overhaul on both Sejuani and Bristle. Bristle turns into this massive prehistoric beast, tusks and all, covered in bone armor plating. Sejuani herself trades the Freljord gear for tribal furs and bone accessories. Think caveman hunter riding a woolly mammoth’s angry cousin.

The VFX got a light touch here. Not gonna lie, for the price point the particle work on her Q charge feels chunkier than base. Could be wrong here but the frost effects lean slightly more green-tinted, matching the prehistoric theme. Her W flail slam lands with what feels like a heavier impact visually, though I think that might just be the skin selling the fantasy harder.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO, which is expected at this price. The recall animation is default too. Been running this in my Diamond games for maybe 30 or 40 matches last season and the thing I keep coming back to is how clean the silhouette reads. In a chaotic teamfight around dragon pit, you can clearly see this massive beast charging through. Simple change – huge impact on readability.

Her E passive marks show up fine against the new model. R is still the standard Sejuani ult visually but the skin model selling the wind-up animation makes it feel more satisfying. Played a game last Wednesday where I landed a five-man ult in bot lane specifically and the whole charge-up just looked right on this skin.

The Prehistoric Hunters line and release context

Beast Hunter Sejuani dropped February 4, 2016. Part of the Prehistoric Hunters skinline alongside Beast Hunter Draven and Beast Hunter Tryndamere. Victor ‘3rdColossus’ Maury nailed the splash for this one. The composition puts Sejuani front and center on her mount, spear raised, primal landscape behind her. (Random aside: the splash crop on the loading screen card is actually better than the full version, the close-up sells the intensity more.)

The Prehistoric Hunters line is one of those smaller Riot skinlines that came and went without much noise. I think it deserved more attention than it got. Sejuani fits the theme naturally because she’s already riding a boar, so translating that into a prehistoric beast hunter riding some primordial creature is a no-brainer. Draven and Tryndamere felt more forced in the line. Sejuani is the standout.

No chromas on this one. Zero. At 750 RP thats expected for a 2016 release. Shop has it permanently so you can pick it up whenever.

Should you buy Beast Hunter Sejuani?

Real verdict: for Sejuani mains who want variety in their skin rotation, this is a strong pickup at 750 RP. Not her best skin overall. Poro Rider exists and Bear Cavalry is a classic. But Beast Hunter Sejuani fills a niche none of her other skins touch. The primal aesthetic is unique in her catalog.

If you’re climbing on Sejuani jungle this season and want something that isn’t the default blue Freljord look, 750 RP feels fair for what you get. Been maining Sejuani with this skin off and on since season 8 I think or 9 dont remember, and it still holds up visually despite being from 2016. The model quality aged well.

Skip this if you already own Bear Cavalry or Hextech. Those are objectively more polished skins with more features. But if you’re building out a full Sejuani collection or you just vibe with the prehistoric hunter fantasy, this one earns its spot. Kinda feels like the most underrated skin in her lineup. Not flashy, not trying to be. Just a clean Standard tier skin that does exactly what it promises. Worth 750 RP if you main Sejuani, no question.
