First game I locked in High Noon Yorick, my duo asked me why there was a cowboy raising the dead in top lane. Fair question. Yorick already has this grim gravedigger energy and dropping him into the High Noon universe just works in a way I wasnt expecting. The whole undead preacher vibe fits him like it was designed from scratch, which honestly it kind of was. Been running this as my default Yorick skin since it hit the shop and I dont see that changing any time soon.

What High Noon Yorick actually brings to the Rift

So the model. Yorick gets a full western overhaul. Long duster coat, wide-brimmed hat, shovel replaced with something that looks half pickaxe half gravedigger’s tool. The Maiden gets a spectral Wild West treatment too, and thats where the skin really starts pulling its weight. Mist Walkers come out looking like skeletal outlaws crawling from shallow desert graves. Kinda feels like you’re summoning a posse every time you hit Q on a minion wave.

VFX are new across the board. Q proc has this dusty orange impact, E marks the ground with a burning sigil that reads clean against most lane backgrounds. W creates a ring of spectral fence posts or tombstones, hard to tell exactly but it looks distinct from base. The R summon for Maiden is the highlight. She rises up with this dramatic western flair, all smoke and embers. In teamfights when you’ve got Maiden plus four ghouls pushing into the backline, the particle density is noticeable without being distracting.

New recall animation too. Yorick plants his shovel, tips the hat, and the ghouls do their thing around him. Not gonna lie, it’s one of the better recall loops for a splitpush champion because you end up seeing it constantly while managing side lanes. (Random aside: I’ve watched this recall maybe 400 times this season just from splitting bot lane second tower.) Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is standard for an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP.

High Noon and where Yorick fits the line

The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s strongest thematic universes at this point. Yorick slots into it naturally because the whole angels-and-demons western mythology already deals with death and the afterlife. Compare him to High Noon Mordekaiser or High Noon Thresh and there’s a clear visual thread connecting them. The gravedigger archetype in westerns is practically a genre staple, so Riot didn’t have to stretch far here.

8 chromas total for High Noon Yorick. Tanzanite is my pick, the deep purple against the western dust palette creates this cursed preacher look that I think reads better than base. Pearl goes the opposite direction, almost heavenly, which creates a cool contrast with the ghoul army. Could be wrong here but I think Catseye is underrated too, the gold tones make him look like he’s guarding a haunted mine shaft.

Shop has it at 1350 RP. Permanent availability so no vault anxiety. For Yorick mains who have been stuck cycling between Meowrick and Arclight, this is a serious option. Might be the best straight upgrade in his skin catalog depending on your taste.

Should you buy High Noon Yorick?

Real verdict: if you play Yorick at all, this skin earns its 1350 RP. The Maiden and ghoul redesigns alone justify the price because you’re looking at them every single game. Been maining Yorick with this equipped for maybe 30 games in ranked last month and the VFX clarity is genuinely good. My Diamond games where I’m splitpushing and need to track ghouls in messy fights, the western particles help readability.

Spirit Blossom Yorick exists as competition and that one leans harder into the fantasy side. High Noon is grittier. Depends what you want. Not sure if it’s just me but I keep coming back to High Noon specifically because it makes Yorick feel less niche and more like a main character. Last Wednesday around midnight I had a game where Maiden soloed their ADC under tower and the kill animation in this skin just hit different. Top pick for Yorick mains who want the western aesthetic without losing the gravedigger identity. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get, especially with 8 chromas to customize further. Skip it only if you’re already committed to Pentakill Yorick for the music theme, otherwise this is the Yorick skin if you can only own one.
