First time I saw Pool Party Lee Sin load in, I thought someone was trolling in champ select. Dude is out here in swim trunks and coconut shell bracers throwing water balloons at people. Played maybe 40 games with this skin back in season 4 and honestly it never stopped being funny. The whole concept is so dumb it loops back around to being great.

What actually changes on Pool Party Lee Sin

So this is a 975 RP Standard tier skin which means you’re not getting new voice lines or anything crazy. Voice stays default. But what you do get is solid. New VFX across the board, and they went with a water theme for everything. His Q – Sonic Wave turns into this splashing water projectile. Looks clean in lane. Not sure if it’s just me but the Q animation feels slightly more readable than base, which honestly helps when you’re trying to land kicks in a chaotic teamfight.

The E slam sends water rippling out from Lee Sin’s feet. Simple change – huge impact on the visual clarity. His W still functions the same way visually but there’s water particles when he dashes. R is where it gets fun though. Roundhouse kicking someone with a pool noodle energy and sending them flying through a splash of water. Been running this in Diamond ranked games and every time I kick their ADC into the backline I crack up.

New recall animation too. Lee Sin does a cannonball into a kiddie pool. Banger. The whole thing takes like four seconds but it adds so much personality. (Random aside: I’ve started timing my recalls just to show it off after a successful gank, which is probably losing me LP.)

His model is the real star here. Swim trunks, no shirt, coconut shell arm guards, and a blindfold that looks like a headband you’d wear at a beach resort. The attention to detail on the character model is actually impressive for a skin from 2013. His weapon wraps look like they’re made from beach towel material or something similar.

The Pool Party line and where this skin fits

Pool Party Lee Sin dropped September 9, 2013. Evan ‘Somnicidal’ Monteiro handled the artwork and they captured this ridiculous summer energy perfectly. The splash has Lee Sin mid-kick at a pool party with other champions in the background. Season 3 vibes.

The Pool Party skinline is one of Riot’s most consistent themes. Almost every champ that gets one ends up with a fan favorite. Lee Sin fits it naturally because his martial arts animations translate so well to the goofy water effects. Kinda feels like this skin was designed specifically because someone at Riot imagined a blind monk doing a cannonball and couldnt stop laughing.

No chromas on this one. Zero. Just the base Pool Party Lee Sin look. Permanent shop availability so you can grab it whenever. For 975 RP thats actually a decent deal considering you get new VFX and a recall animation. Some skins at this price point barely change the model.

Should you pick up Pool Party Lee Sin?

Real verdict: this depends on what you want from a Lee Sin skin. If you’re a Lee Sin one-trick climbing through ranked and you want something that looks intimidating, skip this. Go God Fist or Storm Dragon. But if you want the skin that makes your team laugh in loading screen and still has clean VFX that don’t distract from gameplay, Pool Party Lee Sin is the pick.

975 RP feels fair for what you get. I think the water VFX actually read better than some of his more expensive skins in certain situations. Last Tuesday around 2 AM I was spamming Lee Sin games and kept switching between this and Muay Thai. Pool Party just has more personality even if Muay Thai has the smoother animations for insec combos.

Been maining Lee Sin with this skin on and off since season 4 and it holds up. The model is dated compared to newer releases but the charm is still there. Best casual Lee Sin skin full stop. If you already own God Fist or Nightbringer for your tryhard games, this is the perfect skin for normals and flex queue where you just want to have fun ganking lanes as a shirtless man throwing water at people. Could be wrong here but I think every Lee Sin main should own at least one joke skin, and this is the best one he’s got.
