Broken Covenant Miss Fortune

First game I played with Broken Covenant Miss Fortune was a late night ranked session, maybe 1 AM on a Wednesday. Locked her in bot lane without even checking the splash properly and the loading screen hit me with this dark cathedral aesthetic I wasnt expecting from a Miss Fortune skin. Not gonna lie, it caught me off guard. Miss Fortune has a massive skin catalog at this point, and most of them lean into the pirate fantasy or the glam angle. This one goes full gothic occult and it works.

What Broken Covenant actually brings to the table

For an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, Broken Covenant Miss Fortune delivers solid VFX changes across her kit. The Q bounces carry this deep violet energy trail that reads cleanly in lane. Her W movement buff gets a subtle dark aura around her feet. Nothing crazy but you notice it when you’re kiting back from a gank.

E is where the skin shines for me. Make It Rain drops these corrupted sigils on the ground instead of the usual bullet hail. Looks great in teamfights when you throw it into a chokepoint near dragon pit. Her ult channels dark covenant energy in a wide cone and the purple-black particles pop against the Rift. Played maybe 30 games with this skin in Diamond and the ult VFX never got old.

The recall animation is new too. Miss Fortune does this ritual-style motion with floating covenant symbols. Clean execution. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is standard for this price point. (Random aside: the recall animation is weirdly relaxing to watch between waves.)

Kinda feels like Riot nailed the dark fantasy angle here without going overboard. The model itself has Miss Fortune in this fitted dark armor with covenant markings. Her guns got redesigned with an ornate gothic look. Could be wrong here but I think the silhouette reads better than half her other skins in the backline during a teamfight.

Release, artist, and the Broken Covenant line

Broken Covenant Miss Fortune dropped March 9, 2023. Mid season 13. Jennifer Wuestling nailed the splash, the composition puts Miss Fortune front and center with shattered stained glass behind her. Strong piece.

The Broken Covenant skinline came out as a batch with Cho’Gath, Nocturne, Riven, Xayah, and Rakan all getting skins in the same release. Miss Fortune fits the theme naturally. The whole line plays on this corrupted holy order fantasy. Been running this in ranked since it came out and it still holds up two years later.

8 chromas total for this one. Tanzanite is my go-to, the deep purple leans harder into the dark covenant vibe than base. Sapphire swaps the palette to a cold blue that reads almost frozen. Pearl goes light and ethereal which is a weird contrast against the gothic theme but some people dig it. Not listing every single one because honestly half of them are just color swaps without much personality beyond the three I mentioned.

Is Broken Covenant Miss Fortune worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: this is a top three Miss Fortune skin for me. Maybe just my experience but in bot lane specifically, the VFX clarity on E and R feels better than most of her catalog. I think Captain Fortune still wins for the lore crowd and Gun Goddess exists if you want the ultimate flex. But for pure aesthetic at the Epic price point, Broken Covenant competes hard.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX, new recall, strong model, strong splash. Miss Fortune mains who like the darker side of her skin pool should lock this in. Been daily driving it on and off since season 13 and I keep coming back. If you’re climbing as ADC and want something that looks clean without dropping Legendary money, this is the pick. Skip it only if you’re not into the gothic direction, because thats the entire identity of this skin.
