A 520 RP skin with 8 chromas. Thats the Bandito Fiddlesticks pitch. Originally released August 10, 2010 as a simple cowboy scarecrow reskin. Then Riot went back years later and added chromas to it for some reason. The result is a budget skin from the early days of League that now has more color options than some Epic skins. Francis Tneh and West Studio updated the splash at some point. Fiddlesticks in a poncho and sombrero. A scarecrow dressed as a bandit. Gets a laugh every time in loading screen. Could be wrong here but I think this might be the funniest loading screen splash in the entire game.
Budget cowboy scarecrow
The model puts Fiddlesticks in western bandit attire. Poncho draped over the scarecrow frame, wide-brimmed hat that sits on top of the scarecrow head at an angle. After the Fiddlesticks rework in 2020 the model got updated to fit the new terrifying scarecrow base design while keeping the cowboy outfit. So now its a horrifying ancient demon wearing a poncho. Which is funnier than the original concept honestly. The rework made every Fiddlesticks skin scarier but making a cowboy scarier just makes it funnier. Thats accidental genius from Riot.
No new VFX. Terrify on Q still scares enemies with the same particle. Bountiful Harvest on W drains with base effects. Reap on E silences with the same scythe slash visuals. Crowstorm on R channels and jumps in with base particles, which means you get a cowboy demon erupting out of nowhere in a teamfight looking exactly like base Fiddle ability-wise. No new voice lines either. Kellen Goff’s terrifying Fiddlesticks voice coming from a cowboy scarecrow is an unintentional comedy moment every game. Played a game last week in Diamond where I Crowstormed over the baron pit wall onto four people and my duo was losing it because the poncho flapping during the ult channel is genuinely hilarious.
Eight chromas: Ruby, Obsidian, Pearl, Sapphire, Citrine, Emerald, Catseye, Rose Quartz. At 520 RP in the shop. Part of the High Noon skinline technically, though it predates the modern High Noon line by years. The Obsidian chroma turns the poncho dark and gives it this weird intimidating look that almost makes Bandito Fiddlesticks look like a serious skin (random aside: Obsidian chroma on budget skins is almost always the best one, Riot figured out dark color palettes early).
Should you buy it?
At 520 RP this is one of the cheapest skins you can buy. If you play Fiddlesticks and want a joke skin for normals, Bandito with the Obsidian chroma is genuinely funny. For ranked, Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks or Surprise Party are better picks with actual VFX changes. Surprise Party is the one most Fiddle mains swear by. Bandito is the comedy option at a comedy price point and the 8 chromas give it more variety than it probably deserves. Sometimes thats all you need. Lock it in for ARAM, get a few laughs in loading screen, move on with your life. 520 RP feels fair for what you get.
