High Noon Ashe

Been playing ADC on and off for years and High Noon Ashe is one of those skins that made me pick up a champion I was not really interested in before. Something about the demonic cowgirl aesthetic with the burning arrows just works on a level that base Ashe never did for me. Bought it October 2019 when it dropped, played maybe 40 games of Ashe that month alone.

Demonic sheriff energy on every ability

The model puts Ashe in this dark western outfit with a demonic twist. Long coat, wide-brimmed hat, glowing red eyes underneath. Clare Wong and West Studio did the splash art showing Ashe aiming her bow across a burning frontier town. One of the more atmospheric splashes in the High Noon line.

Ranger’s Focus on Q stacks auto attacks that build toward a glowing fire state. Once activated, Ashe’s autos become rapid-fire burning arrows with trailing ember effects. Looks incredible in extended trades in bot lane and the visual clarity on the empowered state is obvious, your support knows immediately when you are ready to go. Volley on W fans out burning arrows in an arc. Standard ability, elevated VFX. The fire trails on each arrow are distinct enough that enemies can read the hitbox easily.

Hawkshot on E sends out a spectral hawk wreathed in flames across the map. Minor ability cosmetically but the hawk looks way better than base. The fire trail it leaves across the minimap is more visible which I think actually helps with team coordination since people notice when you scout something. Small detail but it matters in ranked.

Enchanted Crystal Arrow on R though? This is where High Noon Ashe earns Legendary status. The arrow fires as a massive burning projectile with a trail of embers and smoke. Cross-map arrows that connect look like a comet hitting someone. Landed a blind R from base to dragon pit two nights ago, roughly a 6 second flight time, caught their jungler mid-smite. The visual of that burning arrow crossing the entire map was worth the 1820 RP alone. The stun duration on a max range arrow is already satisfying on base Ashe but with the burning explosion on impact it just hits different. Your team sees it land and immediately knows to collapse.

Melissa Hutchison reworked the voice lines. Ashe sounds tougher, more frontier justice than Freljord queen. Less regal, more “I will find you and I will shoot you with a burning arrow.” Fits the High Noon fantasy well.

Chromas and High Noon context

High Noon Ashe comes with 5 chromas: Ruby, Aquamarine, Obsidian, Nomad, and Amethyst. The Nomad chroma is the interesting one. Changes the color scheme to a dusty tan-brown that makes Ashe look like she has been riding through the desert for weeks. Obsidian goes dark and brooding which is always popular. Ruby turns the fire effects slightly more crimson.

Released October 10, 2019 at 1820 RP as part of the High Noon skinline. This line is massive, one of Riot’s biggest, and High Noon Ashe is one of its better entries. Still available in the shop.

Where High Noon sits among Ashe skins

Ashe has a deep skin catalog at this point. PROJECT Ashe exists at Legendary too. Crystal and Cosmic options are around. But High Noon is the one I see most often in my ranked games this season and I dont think thats a coincidence. The fire aesthetic on an ice archer champion creates this visual contrast that just pops on the Rift.

At 1820 RP with 5 chromas giving you variety, this is strong value for a Legendary. If you play Ashe in any capacity, High Noon is probably the move. The R animation alone makes it worth considering. Could be wrong but I think this is one of those skins that actually makes you want to throw more cross-map arrows just because they look so good flying across the Rift. First choice for Ashe mains, easy recommendation. The fire-on-ice contrast never gets old visually. Genuinely one of the best thematic inversions Riot has done on any champion skin in the entire catalog.
