Coven Camille

First time I saw Coven Camille load in, I thought someone modded the game. The whole vibe is so far removed from base Camille that it feels like a different champion. Been running this skin since late 2018 and it still holds up. Not gonna lie, the gothic witch aesthetic on a precision-based fighter like Camille just works in a way I wasnt expecting.

What Coven Camille actually changes

The model is a full rework of her silhouette. Gone is the sleek steel operative look. Instead you get this dark sorceress draped in feathers and thorns, with her leg blades reshaped into these curved, almost organic-looking scythes. The color palette leans heavy into deep purples and midnight blues with gold accents that catch light during abilities.

Her Q hits different visually. The Precision Protocol strikes leave behind these violet energy trails that linger just long enough to notice. W sweeps out a cone of dark magic instead of the usual mechanical blast. Played maybe 40 games in a row with this skin last season and the W animation specifically felt smoother to me, though could be wrong here but I think the VFX timing reads a tiny bit cleaner than base.

The E hookshot is where Coven Camille really shines. The grapple line transforms into this ethereal tether with particle effects that scatter on contact. Looks fantastic when you’re diving the backline in teamfights. Her ult, the Hextech Ultimatum, drops a cage of dark energy with feather-like projections instead of the hex pattern. One ranked game last week around midnight I trapped their Jinx in river and my support literally typed “that cage looks sick” in chat. Fair enough.

New recall animation too. She performs this ritual with floating dark energy, very on-brand for the Coven theme. Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Standard for an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP.

The Coven line and where this skin fits

Released November 27, 2018. Late into season 8. Jem Flores nailed the splash, the composition with Camille standing among twisted branches and an owl motif behind her is one of my favorite splash pieces in the entire Coven lineup.

The Coven skinline is honestly one of Riot’s most consistent themes. Dark fantasy witches with actual menace to them. Camille fits naturally because her personality already carries that cold, calculating energy. Kinda feels like they designed the Coven concept with her in mind, even though Lissandra and Morgana dropped in the same batch.

8 chromas total. Obsidian is my pick for ranked, the dark tones blend into the Rift and the gold accents pop harder against the black. Tanzanite pushes the purple deeper which suits the mystical angle. Dark Ritual is the standout though, that crimson and teal combo reads completely unique compared to every other Coven Camille variant. (Random aside: I use the Dark Ritual chroma as my desktop wallpaper and it still goes hard.) The rest fill their roles but those three carry the set.

Should you pick up Coven Camille?

Real verdict: this is the Camille skin if you can only own one. I know Program exists and IG has the esports prestige factor, but Coven Camille delivers the most complete package at the Epic tier. The VFX overhaul is thorough, the model redesign is dramatic without losing Camille’s gameplay clarity, and the theme just fits.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Been maining Camille with this through Diamond for three seasons now and I keep coming back to it over newer options. The only real competition is Arcana if you prefer the tarot card aesthetic, but Coven has more personality in my opinion. Overpriced? No. Underhyped? Maybe. I see way more Program and IG Camille in my games than Coven, which is a shame because the quality gap is real.

If you’re a Camille one-trick or even just someone who locks in Camille for specific lane matchups, this skin earns its spot in your collection. Skip it only if the dark fantasy vibe isnt your thing. For everyone else splitpushing through solo queue on Camille, Coven is the answer. Season 9 I think is when I first bought it and honestly haven’t looked back since.
