Victorious Graves

Been maining Graves on and off since season 6, and when Riot announced the Season 7 ranked reward was Victorious Graves I honestly felt validated. Like all those Diamond promos finally paid off in something tangible. Not every Victorious skin hits, but this one? Solid pick for the shotgun man.

The Victorious treatment on Graves

The color palette shifts Graves into that signature blue and gold Victorious look. His coat gets this royal blue trim with gold accents running along the edges, and his shotgun Destiny picks up matching metallic highlights. Looks clean in lane. The model rework isnt dramatic but its enough to feel distinct from base Graves in loading screen and in-game.

New VFX came with this one. His Q and R get blue-gold particle trails that read well against the Rift. Smoke Screen keeps the gameplay clarity but the color shift makes it feel premium. Kinda feels like they put more effort into the VFX than some 975 RP skins get. The recall animation is custom too, Graves plants his shotgun and strikes this champion’s pose with the Victorious crest forming behind him. Short and clean.

Voice lines stay base. Standard for a Victorious tier skin, no VO refresh. Kyle Hebert’s gruff delivery still carries though, fits the regal aesthetic surprisingly well. Not gonna lie, hearing “Dead man walkin” while wearing royal blue armor hits different than the base cowboy look.

Season 7 context and the Victorious line

Released November 8, 2017. End of Season 7. Xu ‘Crow God’ Cheng handled the artwork, and the splash captures this battlefield commander energy. Graves standing over a conquered landscape with that gold-trimmed shotgun. Strong composition.

The Victorious skinline has been Riot’s ranked reward tradition since Jarvan IV back in season 1. Graves joining the Victorious roster made sense for 2017. He was dominating jungle meta for most of that season, high pick rate in solo queue and pro play. I remember grinding those last few games before the season ended, maybe around 1 AM on a Tuesday, just to make sure I locked in Gold for the reward.

3 chromas came with the skin based on your ranked queue. Solo/Duo gave you a white and teal variant, Flex got the darker brown tone, and 3v3 dropped a deep blue recolor. The Solo/Duo chroma is my go-to, that white armor reads so clean in teamfights. (Random aside: I queued like 15 Flex games just for the extra chroma and regret nothing.)

Should you care about Victorious Graves?

Here’s the thing. You cant buy this. Special pricing means it was free for Gold+ players in Season 7. Legacy vault skin now. If you dont have it, you’re not getting it unless Riot changes their policy on Victorious skins, which they havent done yet as of 2026.

For those who own it, its a clean Graves skin that holds up well. Could be wrong here but I think it sits comfortably in the top half of Graves cosmetics. The VFX work punches above its tier. Not as flashy as Sentinel Graves or Battle Professor, but the exclusivity factor carries weight. Seen maybe 4 of these in my Diamond games all last season. Rare enough to turn heads in champ select.

The Victorious line ages well when the base model is strong, and Graves has always had a solid silhouette. Worth locking in over half his shop skins, and you didnt even have to spend RP.
