First time I saw PROJECT: Fiora load into my game I actually stopped moving for a second. Not gonna lie, the splash alone had me sold before I even saw the in-game model. That neon blade with the visor down, standing in what looks like some cyberpunk rooftop? Yeah. Locked it in immediately. Been running this as my default Fiora skin since maybe season 7 or 8, dont remember exactly, and it still holds up in Diamond lobbies today.
How PROJECT: Fiora actually looks in game
The whole model gets the full cybernetic treatment. Fiora goes from fencing aristocrat to augmented duelist with a hard-light blade that pulses orange and teal. Her Q lunge leaves this clean trail of particles behind it. Satisfying every time you proc a Vital.
W is where it gets interesting. Riposte puts up this hex-grid shield effect that reads way better than the base skin version. You can actually see it in teamfights, which matters when you’re trying to parry a Malphite ult in the middle of chaos. The E autos have this nice crackle to them, subtle but it makes the attack speed feel snappier somehow.
Her ult though. Grand Challenge marks show up as these projected holographic targets on the enemy. Clean visual feedback. When you pop all four Vitals and trigger the heal zone, there’s this burst of light that fills the area. Played maybe 150 games with this skin last season in the top lane specifically and the ult VFX never got old.
Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Karen Strassman’s delivery still works fine with the aesthetic though. The recall animation is new and it’s solid. Fiora does this blade calibration sequence, very on-brand for the PROJECT universe. Simple change – huge impact on the feel.
The PROJECT line and where this skin fits
PROJECT: Fiora dropped September 7, 2015. Part of the original PROJECT wave that also brought Lucian, Leona, and Zed into the line. Alex ‘alexplank’ Flores nailed the splash, the composition with the blade extended forward is one of the cleaner pieces in the entire PROJECT catalog.
The PROJECT skinline is one of Riot’s most consistent themes. Cyberpunk augmented warriors. Fiora fits naturally because her whole kit is about precision strikes and the tech overlay just reinforces that fantasy. Could be wrong here but I think this is still the best PROJECT skin from that original batch. Zed gets more hype but Fiora’s model is tighter.
There’s 1 chroma available, the Reckoning variant. It shifts the color palette toward a deeper orange-red with dark teal accents. Kinda feels like an emergency combat mode version. I actually prefer it over the base PROJECT colors for ranked because the darker tones blend less with river VFX and I can track my own particles better (random aside: thats probably placebo but my winrate went up 3% after switching).
Is 1350 RP worth it for PROJECT: Fiora?
Real verdict: this is a strong Epic tier skin. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on every ability, clean recall, solid model overhaul. You’re not getting new voice lines but for an Epic that’s standard.
The competition in Fiora’s skin pool is real though. Soaring Sword has that wuxia vibe, Pulsefire went full sci-fi Legendary, and iG Fiora carries Worlds prestige. But PROJECT: Fiora hits a specific cyberpunk niche that nothing else in her roster touches. Still in the shop, permanent availability.
If you’re climbing with Fiora this season and want something that makes your Vitals and Riposte read cleanly in lane, this is the pick. Been daily driving it again since around last March after cycling through her other skins and I keep coming back. Not the flashiest option she has anymore, seven years of power creep will do that, but the design is tight and the gameplay clarity is real. Worth it if you main Fiora. Skip it if you only play her as a counterpick once every 20 games, there’s cheaper options for that.
