French Maid Nidalee

First time I saw this skin loading in was back in season 2, maybe season 3. Someone on the enemy team locked in Nidalee with the French Maid splash and I remember thinking it looked goofy in the best way. Not gonna lie, it still holds up for what it is. A simple costume swap from 2010 that leans into the novelty factor hard.

What French Maid Nidalee actually changes

This is a 520 RP skin from an era where Riot wasnt exactly pushing boundaries on skin design. You get a model swap and that’s basically it. Nidalee trades her jungle attire for a black and white maid outfit, complete with the headpiece and feather duster. Voice lines stay base. No new particles on Q, no updated W pounce effect, E heal looks the same. Standard voice, no new lines.

The cougar form keeps the outfit theme going which I think is a nice touch for a skin this old. Could be wrong here but the cougar model might actually be the highlight. Little maid-themed cat running around the Rift has a charm to it that the human form doesn’t quite match. Played maybe 40 games with this skin across different seasons and the auto attack animations feel identical to base. No surprises there.

Simple change – huge impact on the vibe though. The feather duster replacing the spear is the kind of detail that makes you smile in lane. Had a game last week where my support pinged the skin three times in a row. People notice it even in 2026.

The Day Job line and some history

French Maid Nidalee dropped June 24, 2010. Early League days. Even Mehl Amundsen handled the splash and honestly the art style screams that pre-2012 Riot aesthetic. Not a complaint, just context.

Part of the Day Job skinline which is one of those weird thematic groups Riot barely acknowledges anymore. The whole concept was champions doing regular jobs. Kinda feels like Riot had a different sense of humor back then. The skinline never really expanded into what it could have been (random aside: I actually wish they’d revisit Day Job as a joke line during April Fools).

520 RP puts this firmly in budget territory. Shop has it, permanent availability. No chromas exist for this one which makes sense given the price point and age. What you see is what you get.

Should you pick up French Maid Nidalee?

Real verdict: this is a novelty skin for Nidalee collectors and people who appreciate the older catalog. If you’re a Nidalee main climbing through ranked and you want something that actually changes the gameplay feel, Headhunter or Dawnbringer Nidalee are better picks. Been maining Nidalee on and off since season 5 and I keep this skin in rotation purely for normals and ARAM.

520 RP is standard, nothing special. You’re paying for a costume swap and the comedy factor. Three things stood out after years of owning it: the feather duster visual, cougar form’s charm, and the fact that its so old it feels rare even though it isnt. In my Diamond games I see maybe one French Maid Nidalee per season. That alone gives it some personality.

Skip this if you want flashy VFX or new ability sounds on your Nidalee. Grab it if you want a cheap throwback skin that gets reactions in lobby. Fair price for the package.
