Annie

Annie Skins

17 skins available

Annie's skin catalog is one of those collections that quietly got stacked over the years without most people noticing. Been playing her on and off since season 3, mostly as a pocket pick when my team needs burst engage from mid or support, and I think she has one of the more underrated skin libraries in the game. 17 skins total. Some are ancient relics from 2009, others dropped as recently as 2024, and the quality range is wild. From budget recolors to one of the OG Legendaries and a couple Mythic skins that most players will never own.

How Annie's Skin Collection Grew Over 15 Years

Goth Annie kicked things off back in 2009. Literal launch-era skin. The game looked completely different, the splash art was rough, and Tibbers was basically a brown blob with some particle effects. Not gonna lie, there's a weird charm to those early skins that newer players probably dont get.

From there Riot kept feeding Annie skins at a pretty steady pace. Red Riding Annie, Prom Queen Annie, Frostfire Annie - all Standard tier, all relatively simple texture swaps over the base model. The kind of skins where you squint in loading screen and go "wait is that a skin or default?" But they were cheap. 520-750 RP range for most of them.

The real turning point was Annie in Wonderland. Legendary tier, 1820 RP, and for its era it was a big deal. Tibbers as a storybook monster, the whole Alice in Wonderland aesthetic. I remember locking this in during season 4 and feeling like I had the coolest thing on the Rift. (Random aside: my friend group used to call Tibbers "the bear from that movie" and it drove me insane.) The skin hasnt aged perfectly but the concept still holds up.

Then came the Mythic skins. Hextech Annie was one of the original Hextech crafting exclusives - you needed 10 gemstones back when gemstones were actually rare. Annie-Versary dropped for the game's 10th anniversary, free for everyone who logged in. Two Mythic skins for a champion that costs 450 BE. Wild.

The Epic skins filled in over time. Super Galaxy Annie, Lunar Beast Annie, Cafe Cuties Annie, Fright Night Annie, Winterblessed Annie. Six Epics total and they're mostly solid. 1350 RP each, proper VFX changes on abilities, new Tibbers models. Battle Princess Annie closed things out in 2024 as the newest addition. 17 skins spanning 2009 to 2024. Not bad for the tutorial champion.

Best Skins for Annie

Straight talk: Annie in Wonderland is still the crown jewel if you care about the Legendary experience. Yeah it's from a different era of skin design and the ability VFX look dated compared to something like Spirit Guard Udyr's rework. But Tibbers in the Wonderland theme hits different. The W cone feels chunkier visually, the Q fireball has that storybook glow. Been running this in my Diamond games when I pull out Annie mid and it still turns heads in loading screen. Could be wrong here but I think the splash alone is worth half the price.

Hextech Annie is the flex pick. Mythic rarity means almost nobody has it. The hextech crystal Tibbers is genuinely one of the coolest bear models in the game. Every ability gets the blue-teal hextech treatment - Q shoots a crystalline projectile, W fans out with that signature hextech glow, and R summons a Tibbers made of pure hextech energy. Problem is you cant buy it normally. Loot exclusive. Seen maybe 4 of these in my games across all of last season.

For the Epics, Super Galaxy Annie is my pick. The mecha aesthetic on a little girl with a giant robot bear is hilarious and the execution is clean. Tibbers becomes this massive mech unit, the ability VFX are colorful without being cluttered. Played maybe 30 games with this one last split and the R stun into full combo just looks satisfying every time. The recall animation where she poses with Tibbers is peak.

Fright Night Annie deserves a mention too. Horror-themed Annie works because the champion already has that creepy-kid energy baked into her kit. Tibbers as a nightmare creature, the dark VFX on her spells. Kinda feels like this is what Annie was always supposed to look like if Riot designed her today.

Annie-Versary is the sentimental pick. Free skin from 2019, celebrates the game's anniversary. Tibbers wears a party hat. Thats it. Thats the pitch. And honestly it works. The skin has more personality than skins three times its effective price. (Sidebar for Annie mains specifically: if you were there for the anniversary event you know this skin hits different.)

Skinlines and Thematic Fit

Annie shows up across a bunch of different skinlines and some fit better than others. The Storybook line with Annie in Wonderland is the most natural. Little girl, fairy tales, magic bear. Makes sense. The Trick-or-Treat line with FrankenTibbers Annie also works perfectly because again - creepy kid, monster pet, Halloween. Direct hit.

The Heartbreakers line gave us Sweetheart Annie which is cute but forgettable. Fine skin. Nothing special. Lunar Revel brought Lunar Beast Annie and I think that one's underrated - the Eastern mythology aesthetic on Tibbers creates this cool guardian spirit vibe that reads well on the Rift. The Winter Wonder theme through Winterblessed Annie is solid but there's so many winter skins across the roster at this point that it blends in.

Not sure if it's just me but the Goth skinline feels like it belongs to a completely different game. Goth Annie was a pre-order exclusive from literal launch day. The "skinline" is basically just Goth Annie and Goth Orianna existing in the same vague aesthetic space. It's a collector's item more than a real thematic choice. Same energy as picking a vintage wine - you're not drinking it for the taste.

Day Job line with Reverse Annie is the meme pick. Annie wears a Tibbers onesie, Tibbers wears an Annie outfit. Been around since season 1 I think and it still gets reactions in all chat. The kind of skin where your teammates type "lol nice skin" in champ select before the game even starts. Peak humor from early Riot.

Budget vs Premium - Where to Spend on Annie

Real talk though. If you're climbing ranked and want an Annie skin without dropping serious RP, Frostfire Annie at 520 RP is genuinely fine. No new VFX, no new Tibbers model, just a clean ice-blue recolor that reads well in teamfights. Voice stays default. For 520 RP you get a skin that looks intentional rather than default.

The 1350 RP Epics are the sweet spot. Super Galaxy or Fright Night, pick whichever aesthetic you vibe with. Both get new ability VFX, new Tibbers models, new recall animations. Everything you actually notice in a game. Could be coping but I think Super Galaxy at 1350 gives you like 85% of the experience Annie in Wonderland gives at 1820.

Annie in Wonderland at full Legendary price is for Annie mains only. If you're spamming her in ranked, one-tricking through Diamond and beyond, the investment makes sense. If she's your pocket pick for specific comps, save the RP. The Epic skins do the job.

Hextech Annie and Annie-Versary you cant buy anyway so dont factor them into budget decisions. One is loot exclusive and the other was a one-time event reward. If you missed Annie-Versary in 2019, tough luck.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Annie have?

17 skins total as of 2024. Eight Standard tier, six Epic, one Legendary, and two Mythic. Pretty stacked catalog for a 450 BE champion. The collection spans from 2009 launch skins all the way to Battle Princess Annie in 2024, so there's options at every price point and quality level.

What is the best Annie skin?

Annie in Wonderland for the full Legendary experience, Super Galaxy Annie for the best value. Depends on what you're after. Mains should grab the Legendary, casual Annie players get more bang from Super Galaxy at 1350 RP. Hextech Annie is technically the coolest but good luck getting it from loot.

What is the cheapest Annie skin?

Frostfire Annie and a few other Standard skins sit at 520 RP. Cheapest you can get without relying on loot drops. Frostfire is probably the best of the budget options - clean ice recolor that doesnt look like you forgot to equip a skin. Red Riding Annie is another cheap option around the same price.

Does Annie have a Legendary skin?

Yeah. Annie in Wonderland at 1820 RP. One of the older Legendaries in the game actually. It's from the Storybook skinline with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Tibbers gets a full redesign, abilities have unique VFX. Shows its age compared to modern Legendaries but the concept still holds up.

What skinlines is Annie in?

A bunch. Storybook, Goth, Day Job, Winter Wonder, Trick-or-Treat, Lunar Revel, Heartbreakers, and more. She pops up across a wide range of themes. The Storybook and Trick-or-Treat lines fit her best. Goth Annie is technically its own line from launch and mostly a collector piece at this point.

Does Annie have chromas?

Several of her Epic skins have chroma sets. Super Galaxy Annie, Cafe Cuties Annie, and the more recent releases all got chroma packs. The Standard tier skins dont have chromas though. If chromas matter to you, stick with the 1350 RP tier skins where Riot actually invested in color variants.

When was Annie's last skin released?

Battle Princess Annie in 2024. Most recent addition to the collection. Before that was Winterblessed Annie which also dropped fairly recently. Riot's been pretty consistent about giving Annie new skins every year or two. She's not forgotten like some champions cough Ornn cough.

Is Annie worth buying skins for?

If you play her regularly, absolutely. Tibbers getting a new model is half the fun and most skins deliver on that front. She's cheap to pick up, easy to learn, and viable through Diamond. Even if she's just your backup mid pick, one solid Epic skin at 1350 RP makes the games feel better. Worth it.
