First time I saw Knockout Lee Sin load in, I thought someone modded a fighting game character into League. The whole boxer aesthetic just works on him in a way I wasnt expecting. Lee Sin already plays like a fighting game character with the Q combos and ward hops, so strapping boxing gloves on him feels less like a costume and more like an upgrade.

What the skin actually brings to the table

So this is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, and the VFX changes are where it counts. His Q, Sonic Wave, gets this punchy energy trail that reads cleaner than base in teamfights. Honestly not gonna lie, the resonating strike follow-up has a satisfying impact flash that makes every Q connect feel heavier. The W shield has a subtle golden tint, nothing crazy but enough to notice.

His E gets a ground slam effect that fits the boxer theme. Clean.

The R, Dragon’s Rage, is where they put the work in. The kick animation with boxing gloves connecting to someone’s face in a teamfight? Been running this in Diamond for maybe 40 games now and the ult still makes me laugh when I punt their ADC into the backline. The recall animation has Lee Sin doing a full boxing warm-up routine, shadowboxing and everything. Nice touch.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Standard for a 1350 skin from 2015. Not a dealbreaker since Lee Sin’s base voice is solid anyway, but I think a Legendary version with trash-talk voice lines would have been something special. Could be wrong here but the base VO actually fits the confident boxer vibe pretty well on its own.

Crime City ties and release context

Knockout dropped May 31, 2015. Part of the Crime City skinline, which is interesting because the skin doesnt lean into the mafia angle as hard as something like Crime City Graves. It’s more prizefighter than gangster. The Crime City line has some bangers and some duds, and Knockout sits comfortably in the upper half.

Jiunn Kuo and Kudos Productions handled the splash art. They captured the underground fight club atmosphere perfectly. Lee Sin standing in a ring with that confident stance, gloves up, crowd in the background. (Random aside: I used this splash as my Discord avatar for like three months straight during season 10 I think.) The lighting in the splash hits different from most League splashes, very warm tones, fight-night energy.

No chromas on this one. Zero. Which is a shame because I could see a red corner and blue corner variant working well for the boxing theme. Riot left some easy money on the table there.

Should you pick up Knockout Lee Sin?

Real verdict: for 1350 RP this skin delivers. Available any time in the shop. The VFX changes are meaningful without being distracting, which matters when you’re trying to land insec kicks in a chaotic late-game fight around baron pit. Last weekend around midnight I pulled off a flash R into Q chase-down and the boxing glove impact on the kick made the whole play feel cinematic.

Competition is stiff though. Lee Sin has a massive skin catalog. God Fist exists at the Legendary price point and Muay Thai is the competitive player’s pick for clean animations. Storm Dragon is flashier. But Knockout has personality that those skins lack. It’s goofy in the right way.

Might be overthinking it but there’s something about the boxer fantasy on a blind monk that just clicks thematically. The skin doesn’t try too hard. Played this for six months straight back in season 9 before rotating to Muay Thai and I keep coming back to it every few patches. Not the best Lee Sin skin full stop, but top three for sure. Worth 1350 if you main Lee Sin or even just play him in the jungle rotation. Skip it if you already own Muay Thai and God Fist and dont need a third option, but for a first Lee Sin skin purchase? Strong pick. The boxing glove R alone sells it.
