First time I saw Waterloo Miss Fortune in a loading screen I had to double-take. Not gonna lie, the Napoleonic military aesthetic on a champion known for being flashy and loud caught me off guard. Been playing Miss Fortune on and off since season 3, and this one always felt like the oddball in her wardrobe. Not bad odd. Just different.
What Waterloo Miss Fortune actually changes
This is a 520 RP Standard tier skin so keep expectations in check. You get a new model and texture swap. Thats it. Voice lines stay base, no new particles on Q or ult, same recall animation. Miss Fortune trades her pirate captain look for a French military uniform with a bicorne hat, white trousers, and a blue coat with gold trim. The twin pistols get a slight visual update to match the era, looking more like flintlock pieces.
In lane the silhouette reads clean enough. Could be wrong here but I think the hat actually makes her easier to track in teamfights compared to some of her other skins where the hair blends into particle effects. Played this in a Diamond game last Thursday and my support pinged me asking what skin that was. Nobody runs this one.
The splash is where this skin punches above its weight class. Jennifer Wuestling nailed the splash, there’s real personality in how Miss Fortune holds those pistols with the battlefield smoke behind her. The in-game model doesnt quite live up to it, which is pretty standard for skins from 2010. Pre-rework Miss Fortune models all have that slightly stiff look.
The Legacy line and release context
Waterloo Miss Fortune dropped September 8, 2010. Early League days. Season 1 territory. The Legacy skinline is basically Riot’s vault rotation collection, skins that come and go from the shop. This one sits in the shop currently though. Available any time if you want it.
No chromas for Waterloo Miss Fortune. Zero. Given the age and price point that tracks. Riot wasnt doing chromas back then and they haven’t gone back to add any for a 520 RP Legacy skin. (Random aside: I kind of wish they would, a red coat variant would go hard for the British side of the Napoleonic theme.)
At 520 RP this is one of the cheapest Miss Fortune skins you can grab. For context she has like 15+ skins now. The competition at higher price points is brutal. Captain Fortune exists. Star Guardian exists. Gun Goddess exists as her Ultimate. Waterloo sits in a completely different lane.
Should you pick up Waterloo Miss Fortune?
Real verdict: this is a collector’s skin. If you main Miss Fortune and want every skin in the collection, 520 RP feels fair for what you get. The Napoleonic military look is unique in her catalog, nothing else comes close to this vibe. But if you’re picking one Miss Fortune skin to climb with in ranked, skip this. Captain Fortune or Star Guardian give you way more for your RP.
Been running this maybe once every 20 Miss Fortune games just for variety. It’s the skin I lock in when I’m not taking the game too seriously, like a late night normal around 1 AM with friends. The model shows its age in 2026 but the concept still holds up. Best use case is surprising people in champ select because legitimately nobody expects Waterloo Miss Fortune in their bot lane. Seen maybe two others running it all season in my Diamond games. That rarity factor is honestly the main selling point at this point.
