T1 Vi

First time I locked in T1 Vi was around 3 AM after watching Worlds VODs. Couldnt sleep. Figured I’d take her into a ranked game and see if the skin hit different from Arcane Brawler. Loaded into champ select, hovered Vi, swapped to the T1 skin. Clean. The red and white color scheme pops immediately on the loading screen, and the splash gives off this championship energy that most esports skins struggle to capture.

What the T1 skin actually changes on Vi

Real talk though, this is an Epic tier skin with no new VFX, no new voice lines, and no new recall animation. Voice stays default. That’s the reality check. What you’re paying for here is the model itself and the thematic tie to T1’s 2024 Worlds championship run. The gauntlets carry T1 branding with that signature red accent running through them. Riot kept the silhouette familiar enough that you wont confuse it with any other Vi skin in a teamfight.

The outfit reads like a stylized esports jersey molded into combat armor. Red panels, white trim, and silver metallic segments across the fists. Played maybe 40 games with this one since it dropped and the color contrast against Summoner’s Rift is solid. Not gonna lie, in lane specifically you can track your Q charge-up pretty easily because the red pops against green and grey terrain.

No new particles on the E or the ult though. That’s where it falls short compared to something like Project Vi or Arcane Brawler Vi. When you dive the backline with R, the animation is stock Vi. Same auto-attack resets, same W proc visuals. For an Epic skin I expected at least minor particle adjustments but Riot’s esports skins rarely get that treatment.

T1, Worlds 2024, and the context behind this one

T1 Vi belongs to the World Champions: 2024 skinline. These skins celebrate T1’s championship victory and each one represents a champion picked during their tournament run. Vi getting the nod makes sense given how much she showed up in jungle and how her engage comp synergy carried games.

There’s 1 chroma available. The Elite variant shifts the palette with deeper crimson tones and a cooler silver-grey secondary. Kinda feels like the Elite version leans harder into a darker, more aggressive look compared to the brighter base. (Random aside: the Elite chroma actually reminds me of the old SKT skins color philosophy where they kept things minimal but sharp.)

Legacy vault skin, so you cant just walk into the shop any day and grab it. Hextech crafting or waiting for whatever event rotation Riot decides on. Been maining Vi with this skin on and off since season 14 ended and I think the exclusivity factor adds something. Seen maybe 5 or 6 of these in my Diamond games all season. Most Vi players still run Arcane stuff.

Should you pick up T1 Vi?

Straight talk: if you’re a Vi one-trick who follows pro play, this skin is an easy lock-in. The T1 branding carries weight. It’s a clean model with a strong splash. But if you’re looking for gameplay-feel changes, new ability VFX, or a different VO experience, this isnt the skin for that. Standard Epic pricing at 1350 RP when it was available.

Could be wrong here but I think T1 Vi sits in the middle of her skin lineup. Not the flashiest option. Nowhere near the worst. Project and Arcane Brawler both offer more in terms of visual effects and recall animations. But neither of those says “I watched Faker’s team win Worlds and I want to represent.” Different appeal entirely.

Skip this if you just want the best-looking Vi skin for climbing ranked. Pick it up if you care about the esports legacy angle and dont mind hunting through Hextech crafting or waiting for a vault opening. The Elite chroma is worth grabbing alongside if you get the chance. That darker red reads cleaner in late-game teamfights around dragon pit where visual clutter gets intense. Been running the Elite variant exclusively since last Tuesday and I prefer it over base at this point. Worth it for Vi mains who value the competitive history. 1350 RP well spent if you can find it.
