First time I saw the Prestige Ocean Song Seraphine loading screen I thought Riot finally figured out how to do a Prestige without just slapping gold on everything. Played maybe 40 games with it that first month. The white and gold palette actually works here, which I cant say for every Prestige skin they’ve put out.

How Prestige Ocean Song changes Seraphine’s kit

The base Ocean Song already looked clean, but this Prestige version takes the summer music festival theme and pushes it into something more elegant. White outfit with gold accents, hair shifted to a platinum blonde. Not gonna lie, it reads more like a headliner at Coachella than the backup dancer vibe some Prestige skins give off.

VFX got the full treatment. Her Q sends out this shimmering gold note burst that catches light on the Rift in a way the base version doesn’t. W shield has a warm pearlescent glow, and the heal pulse looks genuinely distinct from the standard Ocean Song green-blue. E roots land with golden musical bars that spread across the ground. Pretty clean.

Her ult is where it shines hardest. The wave rolls out with this white-gold trail and the musical notes floating above it have more visual weight than base. In a teamfight where you’re hitting 3-4 people with R, the screen just lights up. Been running this in Diamond support games and the charm wave connecting through the backline is satisfying every single time.

New recall animation keeps the concert stage theme but swaps it to the Prestige color scheme. Seraphine performs on a golden platform with sparkle effects. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is standard for Prestige skins. Not a dealbreaker but would’ve been nice to get at least a filter.

The Ocean Song line and release context

Prestige Ocean Song Seraphine dropped June 9, 2022. Mid-season 12. The Ocean Song skinline was Riot’s summer music event that year, and Seraphine was the obvious pick for the Prestige slot given her whole identity revolves around music and performance. Kinda feels like this skin was designed before the rest of the line and everything else built around it.

Sora Kim and West Studio handled the splash art. They nailed the composition honestly. Seraphine floating in this ethereal golden light with ocean waves behind her, microphone in hand. Check the splash closely and you’ll see the water effects have this iridescent quality that most splash arts don’t bother with. (Random aside: I set this as my Discord banner for like three months straight.)

The Ocean Song line itself includes Nidalee, Yone, Zeri, and the base Seraphine version. As a set it holds together well, the summer pool party meets music festival concept. But the Prestige stands apart visually. Where the base Ocean Song Seraphine leans into teal and aqua, this one goes full white-gold luxury. Different energy entirely.

Mythic tier skin. Special pricing, meaning you couldn’t just grab it for RP in the shop. Had to grind event tokens or get lucky with Mythic Essence later. Available now through the Mythic shop rotation, so you’re not completely locked out if you missed the original event. Just gotta wait for the right rotation.

Who should pick this up

Real verdict: this is one of the better Prestige skins Riot has released. Period. The color shift from base Ocean Song actually justifies its existence, which is more than I can say for half the Prestige catalog. Some Prestige skins look like someone cranked the saturation slider on gold and called it a day. This one has genuine design thought behind it.

Could be wrong here but I think Seraphine mains specifically get more value from this than any of her other skins except maybe Star Guardian. The VFX clarity is good for ranked, the gold particles read well against most Rift terrain, and theres enough visual distinction on each ability that you can track cooldowns by feel. Spammed this in Diamond last season around October and my Seraphine winrate was noticeably better, probably placebo but I’m counting it.

If you’re a Seraphine one-trick this is the skin. Top pick for Seraphine mains without question. The Mythic tier pricing means you’re investing time or Mythic Essence, but for a champion you play regularly its worth the grind. For people who play Seraphine once every 30 games in ARAM, probably skip it. The base Ocean Song or Graceful Phoenix will serve you fine at a fraction of the effort.

One thing that surprised me playing this skin in bot lane specifically: the gold E root indicator is actually easier to see than the base skin’s teal one. Not sure if that was intentional design or just a happy accident of the color palette, but in late-game teamfights where you need to land E on the right target, the visual clarity matters. Small detail. Big impact.

Straight talk: best Prestige skin in the Ocean Song set by default since its the only one, but it also holds up against Prestige skins across the board. Solid execution on a champion whose design lends itself naturally to flashy cosmetics. Worth the Mythic Essence if you main her.
