High Noon Urgot is genuinely one of the better western skins Riot has put out, and I say that as someone who went in with zero expectations. Urgot is already deeply unsettling – the spider legs, the chest shotgun, the lumbering silhouette. Slapping a cowboy hat and a preacher collar on him sounds like a joke skin. It is not. First time I saw this in a Diamond game during season 8, I stopped half a second just to process what I was looking at. That was enough to get killed by the enemy jungler. Worth it.

What High Noon changes on Urgot

The VFX overhaul is the main draw of this 1350 RP Epic. His Q knee shotguns fire with a dusty gunpowder effect: smoke, heat haze, and that sulfurous yellow replacing the base green. Kinda feels like each shot has actual weight behind it, which helps when you’re poking in lane and want to look appropriately threatening. The W shield becomes a glowing golden barrier with a hellfire edge to it. His E chains look like cursed lasso rope – simple change, real impact on how the kit reads visually.

The ult is where High Noon Urgot earns its price. Playing this in top lane, the ult is the skin’s showpiece. That execution sequence in the deathrealm gets the full western-supernatural treatment: amber and red particles, cursed cowboy energy dragging targets into some kind of hellish judgment. Landed it on their ADC in a teamfight maybe two weeks back and their support immediately typed “WHAT SKIN IS THAT” in all-chat. The ult carries the skin.

New recall animation included, fits the theme cleanly. Voice lines stay base – no VO refresh – but Urgot’s default voice acting is already menacing enough that you genuinely don’t miss new lines.

The High Noon skinline and release context

High Noon Urgot dropped August 30, 2018. Late season 8. Urgot had just had his rework earlier that year and was actually viable in solo queue and occasional pro play for the first time in years – so the skin landed at peak Urgot relevance. Mist XG handled the splash art: Urgot’s silhouette massive against a burning desert sky, preacher hat, glowing mechanical legs. Mist XG went hard on the splash, one of the better compositions in the High Noon catalog.

The High Noon skinline leans hard into the supernatural western angle. Demons, cursed gunslingers, hellfire. Urgot fits it better than most champions they’ve added to the line because his base design already looks cursed. (random aside: this splash has been my desktop wallpaper since late 2018, still haven’t swapped it out.)

Five chromas available. Tanzanite goes deep purple, darker than base and honestly feels more menacing in lane. Ruby is the obvious blood-red pick, probably the most popular among Urgot mains. Sapphire gives him a ghost-cowboy quality – could be wrong here, but the blue actually reads cleaner at range than the base color scheme. Turquoise and Pearl round out the five. Shop has it, permanent availability.

Is High Noon Urgot worth 1350 RP?

Straight talk: yes. High Noon Urgot is the best Urgot skin available and thats not a particularly close race. The Epic VFX work is well-executed across Q, E, and especially the ult – all three read differently from base in ways you actually notice during gameplay, not just in the client preview tab. Been running this in Diamond since it dropped back in 2018 and haven’t felt the urge to swap off.

1350 RP feels fair for the package. Not every Epic at this price delivers consistent quality across multiple abilities, but High Noon does. Battlecast Urgot is the only real competition skin-wise, and I think High Noon wins on VFX clarity and overall theme coherence. Skip it only if you’re deep into the Battlecast aesthetic already or genuinely allergic to western themes. Otherwise, if you main Urgot, this is your lock-in.
