First game I played with High Noon Rell, our Jinx typed “nice horse” in chat. Fair enough. Rell already rides around on a metal steed, but the High Noon version turns the whole fantasy into something out of a supernatural western, and honestly it works way better than I expected for a support tank. Been running this in Diamond since it dropped last March and the skin just feels right on the Rift.

What High Noon Rell actually brings to the table

The VFX overhaul is where this Epic earns its keep. Her W crash down gets this dusty golden shockwave that reads clean in teamfights. Not gonna lie, the mounted form looks significantly better than base Rell. The armor plating has that worn gunslinger aesthetic with dark leather and bronze metal accents. Dismounted form keeps the rugged vibe going.

Q poke sends out this amber energy lance that trails sparks. Subtle change but it makes landing the stun feel more satisfying somehow. E tether between you and your ADC has a warm golden rope visual, way easier to track than the base version during chaotic engage scenarios. Played maybe 40 games before I noticed the tether actually pulses when you’re near max range. Nice touch.

Her ult is the standout. Big deal. The magnetize pull gets surrounded by this swirling dust storm effect with golden lightning crackling through it. Caught their Katarina and Yasuo in dragon pit last Tuesday and my duo said the VFX looked “cinematic.” Could be wrong here but I think the ult circle reads slightly larger visually than base, even though its the same hitbox. Recall animation has her doing a quick-draw pose with the lance, very on brand for High Noon.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Standard for a 1350 RP skin. The base voice actress Laya DeLeon Hayes did solid work anyway so it doesnt feel like a loss.

The High Noon line and where Rell fits

High Noon dropped March 20, 2024. Late into season 14. Huyy Nguyen and West Studio handled the artwork, and they captured the frontier bounty hunter energy perfectly in the splash. Rell’s lance aimed forward, dust kicking up behind the mount. Clean composition.

The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s most consistent themes. Lucian, Thresh, Senna, Yasuo, Yone – heavy hitters in that roster. Rell fits the western fantasy naturally because she already has the mounted knight thing going. Swap medieval for frontier and it just clicks. Kinda feels like Riot had this concept sitting in a folder for a while before pulling the trigger on it.

9 chromas total if you want variety. Tanzanite goes hard with the deep purple and gold contrast, reads like a nighttime bounty hunter. Citrine leans into warm amber tones that feel most natural for the High Noon theme. Pearl exists for the clean minimalist crowd but personally I keep coming back to base or Tanzanite. (Random aside: the Noonday chroma has this pink and blue sunset palette that shouldnt work on Rell but somehow does.)

Shop has it. Permanent availability, grab whenever. Season 9 I think is when High Noon started getting really popular as a line, or maybe 10 dont remember, but Rell’s entry holds up against skins that had years more development time behind the theme.

Should you buy High Noon Rell?

Real verdict: if you main Rell or play her regularly in ranked, this is the skin. Full stop. Battle Queen was her first alternative and its fine but High Noon edges it out on VFX quality and thematic cohesion. Star Guardian Rell goes a completely different direction so thats more about personal taste.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New particles on every ability, solid recall, strong splash art. The engage fantasy hits harder when your W crash down kicks up a dust storm instead of generic metal sparks. Been spamming this in my climb through Diamond this season and I notice more Rell players locking in High Noon over her other options in the bot lane specifically. Not sure if it’s just me but the skin might actually make her W animation slightly easier to react to for your team, just because the golden VFX pop against most Rift terrain.

Skip it if you only play Rell once every 30 games. Worth 1350 RP if you main Rell though, no question. S-tier Rell cosmetic and the best thing to happen to her skin catalog since launch.
