Firecracker Ziggs

Kinda feels like Riot looked at Ziggs and thought “this guy literally throws bombs, just make them fireworks.” And honestly? It works. Firecracker Ziggs leans hard into the Lunar Revel fantasy and Ziggs is maybe the most natural fit for the Firecracker line out of any champion on the roster. Been running this in Diamond for a solid chunk of games now and it just feels right for a champion whose entire kit is about lobbing explosives across the map.

What the skin actually changes on Ziggs

The model swap puts Ziggs in full Lunar Revel festival gear. Red and gold color scheme, traditional outfit, the whole nine yards. His bombs get swapped out for firecrackers and festival explosives which honestly is the most thematically coherent reskin Riot could have done for this champion. The Q bouncing across lane looks like someone chucking actual fireworks at you. Satisfying.

Not gonna lie, the W is where it gets fun. Satchel Charge reads as a big red firecracker on the ground and the detonation has that festive pop to it. E mines scattered across a teamfight look like a minefield of little festival crackers waiting to proc. His ult landing zone has that explosive celebration energy, big red burst that reads clean even in a chaotic late-game fight around Baron.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO on this one. Standard for an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP. The recall animation keeps things simple too. Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack particles got a slight color shift to match the red and gold palette, which helps the whole package feel consistent when you’re cs-ing in lane. Small detail but it matters over 200 games.

The Firecracker line and where this skin fits

Lunar Revel: Firecracker is one of Riot’s recurring seasonal skinlines. Ziggs joins a stacked roster that includes Vayne, Jinx, Diana, Sejuani, and more. The line keeps growing every Lunar New Year cycle and Ziggs fits the theme better than most.

No splash artist credited in the data for this one unfortunately. The splash itself captures the vibe though, Ziggs mid-throw surrounded by fireworks and festival energy. (Random aside: this splash actually looks great as a Discord profile banner, the colors pop at any resolution.)

8 chromas total for Firecracker Ziggs. Obsidian goes dark and moody which is a weird contrast against the festive theme but I think it actually works for players who want something edgier. Citrine leans into warm golds that feel more premium than the base honestly. Amethyst shifts the palette to purple which reads like a completely different skin in some lighting. Not gonna list every single one but theres decent variety across the set if you want options beyond the default red and gold.

Firecracker Ziggs in actual ranked games

Took this into ranked for maybe three weeks straight last season. Around patch 14.3 I think. Ziggs poke in the bot lane specifically hits different when every Q looks like a firecracker bouncing toward the enemy ADC. There’s something about the visual clarity that actually helped me land more poke, might be placebo but the projectile reads well against most Rift terrain.

Real talk though, the skin doesnt change how Ziggs plays at all. No gameplay advantage, no weird hitbox visual tricks. Pure cosmetic. But for a champion whose identity is “throw bombs everywhere,” the Firecracker fantasy elevates every ability in a way that most Epic skins dont manage. Last Wednesday I had a game where my Mega Inferno Bomb landed on four people in dragon pit and the explosion looked genuinely beautiful. My duo partner who mains engage supports said it looked like a fireworks show from his screen.

One thing I noticed after spamming this: the color scheme can blend slightly into the red side jungle. Minor issue. In lane and during teamfights its completely fine but ganking through red side topside jungle the model gets a tiny bit lost. Season 13 or 14 I noticed it, dont remember exactly.

Should you pick this up?

Verdict time. Firecracker Ziggs is a clean Epic skin that does exactly what you want from a Ziggs cosmetic. The Firecracker skinline fits him naturally, the chromas give you options, and 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. If you main Ziggs or even just have him in your champion pool for bot lane or mid, this is an easy recommend. Competes with Master Arcanist and Battle Boss for best Ziggs skin but the thematic coherence here puts it near the top. Not the flashiest Epic in the game but for Ziggs one-tricks specifically this one earns its spot in rotation. Worth 1350 RP if you main Ziggs.
