Played one game of Fatemaker Nasus the night it dropped and immediately knew this was going into the permanent rotation. Not gonna lie, I wasnt expecting much from another Nasus skin. Riot has given the dog a bunch of looks over the years and most of them blend together after a while. This one hits different though. The whole fate-oracle aesthetic works surprisingly well on a champion who literally stacks his way into late-game godhood.
What Fatemaker Nasus actually brings to the table
The VFX overhaul is the main selling point here. Q slams leave this golden sigil imprint on the ground that lingers for a second. Looks clean in lane when you’re last-hitting and the stacks are climbing. W got a subtle rework too, the wither circle has these swirling rune patterns that read well in teamfights without being distracting. Solid change.
E is where I think the skin shines hardest. Spirit Fire lays down what looks like a fate-reading circle, tarot symbols and all. In a teamfight around dragon pit last week my jungler actually pinged it thinking it was an enemy ability. That’s how different it looks from base Nasus. Could be wrong here but I think the R transformation might be the cleanest part. Nasus grows into this armored oracle figure, golden energy radiating off him. The ult aura pulses with these runic lines that scale with you. Been running this in Diamond and the visual presence when you pop R and walk into the backline is genuinely intimidating.
The recall animation is new. Nasus reads from a massive tome, pages flipping with golden light, then slams it shut. Quick and thematic. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is fine because Erik Todd Dellums already delivered one of the best champion voices in the game.
The Fatemakers and Fatebreakers line
Released April 16, 2025. Pretty recent. Ina Wong and West Studio handled the artwork, and the splash is gorgeous. Nasus standing in this grand library of fate with golden light pouring through. (Random aside: been using the centered splash as my desktop wallpaper since release and dont plan on changing it.)
The Fatemakers and Fatebreakers skinline is one of Riot’s newer thematic pushes. Feels like they wanted something between Arcana and the old Arclight line. Nasus fits naturally as a keeper of knowledge and fate, which is basically his lore anyway. The Fatemakers and Fatebreakers concept gives him more visual identity than just “wise dog with a staff.”
8 chromas total for Fatemaker Nasus. Tanzanite is my go-to, the deep purple oracle look reads like a dark prophet version. Obsidian goes full shadow mode which pairs well if you’re running Dark Harvest for the meme build. Pearl exists too but honestly it washes out the detail on the armor. The rest are fine but those two carry the chroma lineup.
Is 1350 RP worth it for Fatemaker Nasus?
Real verdict: if you’re a Nasus main this is probably top two Nasus skins. Infernal Nasus held the crown for years and I think Fatemaker genuinely challenges it. The VFX package is more cohesive and the theme fits the champion’s identity better than fire ever did. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get.
Kinda feels like Riot finally understood what Nasus mains want. Not flashy for the sake of flashy, but something that makes the slow scaling fantasy feel epic. Spammed this in Diamond for maybe 15 games over the past week and a half and the skin just makes the Q stacking grind more satisfying. Every proc feels weightier with those golden VFX. Shop has it, permanent availability.
Skip it if you already own Armored Titan or Infernal and you’re happy. But if you’re looking for one Nasus skin to lock in this season, Fatemaker Nasus is the pick. S-tier Nasus cosmetic. Been a while since I said that about a 1350 RP Epic skin for any champion, let alone one with this many existing options.
