First game I played with Attorney Azir, my duo asked me why I was summoning sand soldiers in a courtroom. Honest answer: because Riot finally gave Azir mains something that wasnt another generic fantasy skin. The Day Job skinline caught me off guard when it dropped September 11, 2024, but Azir in a full suit commanding soldiers with briefcases? Sold. Locked it in immediately.
What actually changes on Attorney Azir
For an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, Attorney Azir delivers where it counts. New VFX across the board. His Q sends soldiers sliding forward with paper trail effects, little legal documents scattering on impact. Could be wrong here but I think the W soldier summon has a gavel slam sound cue that wasnt in the base kit. The soldiers themselves carry briefcases and wear tiny suits. Ridiculous concept. Perfect execution.
The E dash looks cleaner than most Azir skins honestly. Smooth animation, the suit jacket flutters during the charge. Not sure if it’s just me but the hitbox feels more readable on this one compared to something like Elderwood where the VFX get muddy in teamfights. R is the highlight though. The Emperor’s Divide wall summons a row of suited soldiers pushing forward like security at a courthouse. Been spamming this in Diamond and the wall reads so well in chaotic fights around dragon pit.
New recall animation too. Azir slams a gavel, his soldiers present evidence. The whole thing plays out like a court proceeding. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, but the skin doesn’t need it. The visual package carries hard enough on its own. (Random aside: I set the recall to play during loading screen preview and my friends thought I modded the game.)
One thing that surprised me about two patches into using it. The auto attack particles from soldiers have this subtle paper rustle effect. Small detail. Most people wont notice in lane but when you’re cs-ing in a quiet early game, it adds atmosphere. The color palette is navy and gold, very clean against Summoner’s Rift green.
The Day Job line and who made this
Day Job is one of Riot’s comedy skinlines, and Attorney Azir fits it naturally. The whole premise of champions having regular jobs works better than it should. Azir commanding an army of lawyer soldiers hits different when you remember he’s supposed to be an ancient emperor.
Yuyu Wong and Kudos Productions handled the artwork. They cooked on this one. The splash shows Azir mid-objection with soldiers flanking him in a courtroom setting, gold accents everywhere. Real talk though, the splash might be better than the in-game model, which is my only minor complaint. The model simplifies some of the suit details that look incredible in the splash.
Released late into season 14. September 2024 specifically. Around the same time as a bunch of other Day Job skins. Permanent shop, so no vault anxiety. Grab it whenever.
8 chromas total if you want variety. Obsidian is my personal pick, the dark suit with black soldier accents looks like Azir joined a secret service agency. Pearl goes the opposite direction, white suit energy, very clean for the corporate fantasy. Rose Quartz is interesting too, pink tones on a courtroom skin shouldn’t work but somehow it does. The rest are solid but those three stood out across maybe 40 games of testing.
Is Attorney Azir worth 1350 RP?
Okay, the real question. If you main Azir, this is an easy buy. Been maining Azir with this skin since it dropped and I keep coming back to it over Warring Kingdoms and even Elderwood. The VFX clarity in teamfights alone justifies the price. Last Tuesday around 2 AM I hit a five-man ult in a ranked game and the wall of suited soldiers pushing their entire backline into my team was genuinely the funniest thing I’ve seen on the Rift this season.
1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX, new recall, solid model, 8 chromas for customization. It doesn’t have the new voice lines of a Legendary but Azir’s base VO already goes hard so that’s not a loss. Kinda feels like Riot put extra effort into this one because Azir skins historically have been hit or miss.
For non-Azir mains, maybe skip it. The champion is mechanically demanding and if you’re not putting in the games to learn soldier positioning and Shurima Shuffle combos, the skin won’t save you. Seen maybe 3 other Attorney Azirs in my games all season which means it’s not oversaturated either. (Sidebar for Azir one-tricks specifically: this skin’s soldier visibility in late-game 5v5s around baron pit is genuinely better than most alternatives, and that matters when you’re trying to peel for your ADC.) Top pick for Azir mains, no question. The Day Job concept could have been a joke skin that fell flat but they gave it real production value and it shows.
