K/DA Skins

K/DA is one of those skinlines where Riot stopped pretending League is just a game and went full music industry. Been playing since season 4 and I remember the 2018 Worlds performance dropping out of nowhere. Locked in K/DA Akali that same week in ranked. The neon pop aesthetic, the attitude, the whole vibe hit different from anything else on the Rift at the time. 18 skins deep now across five champions, and honestly the line still holds up. Some of the Prestige editions are debatable but the core designs? Clean.

What Sets K/DA Apart from Every Other Skinline
Not gonna lie, the music industry crossover thing could have been a disaster. Riot went all-in on the K-pop idol fantasy and it worked because they committed to the aesthetic hard. Every K/DA skin shares this neon-on-black color language. Purple, pink, blue accents against dark bases. The VFX across the line lean into this glowing particle style that reads like stage lighting effects on the Rift.
The original 2018 batch had this sleek streetwear-meets-performance-outfit look. Akali's was the standout with the dragon jacket and the cap. Evelynn got the diva treatment. Ahri and Kai'Sa rounded out the group with their own takes on the idol thing. What tied them together wasnt just the color palette but the attitude in the animations. The recalls especially. Every single K/DA recall feels like a concert moment.
Then ALL OUT dropped in 2020 and shifted the vibe slightly. More mature. The outfits went from debut-era idol to comeback-era idol if that makes sense. Slightly more refined silhouettes, updated VFX with more particle density. The splash arts for the ALL OUT set are gorgeous. (Random aside: I had K/DA ALL OUT Akali as my desktop wallpaper for like eight months straight.)
Compared to something like Star Guardian which goes full anime magical girl, K/DA stays grounded in this real-world music fantasy. Compared to True Damage which tried a similar music angle, K/DA has way more depth just because it got two full waves plus all the Prestige variants. True Damage was one and done. K/DA built a whole brand. The splash arts across the line feel like album covers. Consistent art direction from start to finish.
Best K/DA Skins to Lock In
Okay here's where opinions get spicy. 18 skins is a lot and not all of them hit the same.
K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Indie is the Ultimate tier entry at 3250 RP. Three forms in one skin. The Indie form specifically has this stripped-back acoustic vibe that I think works better than the Rising and Superstar versions honestly. Played maybe 40 games of Seraphine in Diamond last season and kept it on Indie the whole time. The evolving skin concept is cool on paper but Indie just sounds and looks the cleanest to me. Could be wrong here but I think most Seraphine mains agree.
K/DA Akali from the original 2018 set is still S-tier. The dragon on the jacket, the neon shroud when you pop W, the whole package. Been running this in ranked since it dropped and even after ALL OUT came out I keep going back. Something about the original just feels tighter.
Prestige K/DA Evelynn hits different if you're an Eve one-trick. The white and gold color swap on her base K/DA look is clean. My duo partner mains Evelynn and swears the Prestige version's charm VFX are easier to land because the visual reads better. Not sure if thats placebo but she climbed from Plat to Diamond with it so who am I to argue.
K/DA ALL OUT Kai'Sa deserves a mention. The ALL OUT version updated her suit design and the Q missiles got this satisfying neon trail. For ADC mains specifically, Kai'Sa's K/DA skins are some of the smoothest feeling in her catalog. Auto attack animations feel crisp. Real talk though, the Prestige ALL OUT version is harder to get now and honestly the base ALL OUT is almost as good visually.
K/DA Ahri rounds out my top picks. The original 2018 version gave Ahri this pop star leader aesthetic that fits her character perfectly. Charm VFX got the neon treatment. Orb looks like a microphone in some of the animations. Kinda feels like Ahri was designed for this skinline before the skinline even existed.
The K/DA Champion Roster
Five champions. That's it. Evelynn, Akali, Ahri, Kai'Sa, and Seraphine. Smallest roster for a skinline this popular by far.
The original four from 2018 are the core group and they all fit naturally. Evelynn brings the sultry diva energy. Perfect casting. Akali is the rapper with the attitude. Ahri is the leader, the face of the group. Kai'Sa is the dancer. Each champion's base personality maps onto a K-pop group archetype so cleanly it feels like Riot designed these champions knowing K/DA would happen eventually.
Seraphine joined in 2020 with the ALL OUT wave and this is where it gets divisive. Some people think she was literally designed as a K/DA cash grab champion. The Ultimate skin launching with a brand new champion felt corporate in a way the original four didn't. Might be overthinking it but that controversy followed Seraphine for a while. Still, the skin itself is well-made regardless of how you feel about the rollout strategy.
Who should join next? Been thinking about this since like season 11. Sona feels obvious for the music connection but maybe too obvious. Samira has the flashy energy that would fit. Qiyana got True Damage so she's adjacent already. Personally I'd love to see K/DA Yone just for the chaos it would cause in the community. (Sidebar: imagine the fan art if Yone got a K/DA skin, the internet would implode.)
The tight roster is actually a strength though. Five champions, 18 skins total. That means multiple versions per champion. Every member has a base, an ALL OUT, and at least one Prestige. Evelynn, Akali, Ahri, and Kai'Sa each have the 2022 updated Prestige editions too. Depth over breadth.
Tier Breakdown and Pricing
No Standard or Legendary skins in this line. Interesting. The breakdown is 8 Epics at 1350 RP, 9 Mythic-tier Prestige editions, and 1 Ultimate at 3250 RP. That's a premium-heavy lineup.
The Epics are your entry point. 1350 RP each for the base K/DA and K/DA ALL OUT versions. Solid value. New VFX, new models, new recalls. Standard Epic package but executed well. For ranked where I spend 90% of my time these days, the base Epics are more than enough.
Prestige editions dominate the count at 9 skins. These were originally event-exclusive grind rewards. The 2022 re-releases made some accessible again through Mythic Essence. If you missed the originals back in 2018 or 2020 you had a second shot. Pricing on Prestige is weird because you're either grinding events or spending Mythic Essence, not straight RP. Effective cost varies wildly depending on how you acquire them.
Then there's K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine at 3250 RP. Ultimate tier. Three evolving forms. Most expensive K/DA skin by a wide margin. Worth it? For Seraphine mains, probably. For everyone else, 3250 RP is a lot to ask. Spammed it in normals last Tuesday around midnight and the evolving mechanic is cool but after 15 games you just pick your favorite form and stay there.
Price range across the line runs 1350 to 3250 RP. No budget options. This is a premium skinline and Riot priced it accordingly. Fair enough.
K/DA Skinline FAQ
How many K/DA skins are there?
18 K/DA skins total across five champions. That includes the original 2018 batch, the ALL OUT 2020 wave, all the Prestige variants, the 2022 Prestige re-releases, and K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine's Ultimate skin. Biggest portion is the 9 Prestige editions which is kinda wild when you think about it. More Prestige skins than regular ones in a single line.
What is the best K/DA skin?
Depends who you main but K/DA Akali from the original 2018 set is the one I keep coming back to. The dragon jacket, the neon W shroud, all of it. For value per RP spent, any of the 1350 base Epics are great. K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine Indie form is the most technically impressive if you're willing to drop 3250 RP on it.
Which champions have K/DA skins?
Five champions: Evelynn, Akali, Ahri, Kai'Sa, and Seraphine. Original four launched in 2018, Seraphine joined with the ALL OUT wave in 2020. Each champion has multiple K/DA variants including base, ALL OUT, and Prestige editions. Tight roster but deep coverage per champion.
Does K/DA have Legendary skins?
No Legendary tier skins in K/DA actually. The line jumps from Epic at 1350 RP straight to Mythic Prestige editions and one Ultimate. K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine is the highest tier at Ultimate (3250 RP). Honestly not gonna lie, a Legendary K/DA Akali with full new VO would be an instant buy for me.
When did the K/DA skinline release?
First K/DA skins dropped in 2018 alongside the Worlds performance that broke the internet. POP/STARS music video and everything. The ALL OUT wave came in 2020 with the MORE single. Last additions were the 2022 Prestige re-releases. Nothing new since then which feels like a missed opportunity.
Are K/DA skins worth buying?
The base Epics at 1350 RP are solid value for any of the five champions. Good VFX, clean models, memorable recalls. The Prestige editions are worth it if you main the champion hard, otherwise the base version covers you. Seraphine's Ultimate at 3250 is a big ask but the three-form gimmick is unique. 1350 feels fair for what you get on the Epics.
Do K/DA skins have chromas?
Some of the ALL OUT Epics got chromas. Not all K/DA skins have them though. The original 2018 set launched without chromas. Prestige editions are essentially their own color variants already so no chromas on those. Check individual skin pages for specific chroma counts and colors if you're looking for a particular vibe.
Will Riot make more K/DA skins?
Nothing confirmed as of early 2026. Last K/DA content was the 2022 Prestige re-releases. The brand is still massive though and Riot knows it prints money. Maybe just my experience but every time a new music skinline drops people in my ranked games start asking for K/DA comeback. Could see a third wave eventually. The demand is there for sure.
