First game I loaded into with Arcane Brawler Vi, my jungler typed “that skin goes hard” before we even hit level 2. Not gonna lie, I had the same reaction when I saw the splash for the first time. This is Vi pulled straight from Arcane Season 2, no compromises. The gauntlets look like they’ve been through actual fights. Scuffed metal, exposed wiring, that underground Zaun energy bleeding through every animation. Been running this in Diamond for about three months now and I keep coming back to it over every other Vi skin in my collection.

What Arcane Brawler Vi actually changes

This is a full Legendary. New model, new VFX, new voice lines, new recall, the whole package. Cia Court on the voice acting and she absolutely nails the scrappy, short-tempered Vi from the show. The VO alone carries weight here. Lines reference Zaun, Piltover politics, Jinx. Feels like playing an actual character instead of just a champion with a skin slapped on.

Q charge-up has this grimy orange particle trail that looks way more aggressive than base. Kinda feels like you’re actually winding up a real haymaker instead of the clean energy punch from default Vi. The impact on release sends out sparks and debris. Small thing but it reads so much better in teamfights when you’re diving the backline.

W proc hits with a mechanical crunch sound. Hard to describe but its satisfying in a way the base skin just isnt. E has wider, dirtier shockwave particles. More industrial. The ground cracks feel earned rather than magical. Could be wrong here but I think the E particles actually feel slightly more visible against dark terrain like the river, which helps with poke spacing in lane.

R is where the money is. Vi launches with a trail of Zaun smog and sparks, and the target gets this heavy metal cage slam on arrival. Played maybe 40 ranked games with this skin and the ult animation still gets me hyped. Last Thursday I ulted an Ezreal who E’d into dragon pit and the visual of Vi chasing through the smoke was genuinely cinematic. Three things stood out: ult VFX, recall animation, voice lines. That’s your value proposition for the Legendary price tag.

Recall has Vi shadowboxing with the gauntlets, throwing combos against an invisible opponent, then slamming both fists together. Quick and clean. No gimmick.

The Arcane line and release context

Arcane Brawler Vi dropped November 20, 2024. Right when Arcane Season 2 was peaking. Riot timed this batch perfectly. The Arcane skinline already had Enforcer Caitlyn and a few others, but this one feels like the definitive Vi-from-the-show skin.

Terence ‘Terrylefruit’ Cantal handled the artwork. The splash captures this mid-fight moment, Vi lunging forward with one gauntlet cocked back, Zaun backdrop glowing behind her. Check the details on the gauntlets in the splash specifically, the wear patterns look hand-painted rather than procedural. Solid work.

No chromas on this one. Zero. For a Legendary that makes sense honestly. The design is so tied to the Arcane aesthetic that recolors would feel off. Legacy vault skin, so you cant just grab it from the shop whenever. Need to wait for a vault rotation or get lucky with Hextech crafting. (Random aside: I actually got this from a reroll on my alt account two weeks after release, felt like winning the lottery.)

The Arcane line overall sits in a weird spot. It’s not a fantasy skinline or a tech line. It’s adaptation skins. Faithful to the show’s art direction. Vi fits naturally because she’s basically the protagonist. The skin doesnt try to reinvent her, it just translates her from animation to the Rift with high fidelity.

How it stacks against other Vi skins

Been maining Vi on and off since season 9 I think or 10 dont remember. Project Vi was my default for years. Clean, futuristic, solid VFX. But Arcane Brawler replaced it within a week. The new VO is the difference maker. Project has a voice filter that sounds cool but generic. Arcane Brawler has actual personality in the lines.

PsyOps Vi is underrated. Good skin. But it lacks the narrative weight this one carries. Warring Kingdoms is pretty but outdated. Heartbreaker is fun for the meme value. None of them have the complete package that a Legendary delivers.

Real talk though, if you don’t care about Arcane the show, some of the appeal drops. Maybe 30% of why this skin hits is the connection to the source material. The fight choreography references, the Zaun atmosphere, Cia Court’s delivery of lines that reference show events. If you never watched Arcane, you still get a great Legendary with top-tier VFX and a new VO. But you miss the layer that makes it special.

Should you buy Arcane Brawler Vi?

Verdict time. 1820 RP, full Legendary price, and it earns every point. Maybe just my experience but this is the Vi skin if you can only own one. The complete VO overhaul, the Zaun-industrial VFX, the faithful Arcane design. It all works together.

Catch is the Legacy availability. Sits in the vault so you’re either waiting for a rotation or rolling Hextech chests. If you see it pop up during an event shop or Your Shop rotation, lock it in immediately. 1820 RP well spent for mains. Even if you’re not a Vi one-trick, if you jungle at all and Vi is in your pool, this skin makes her feel like a different champion in the best way. Skip it only if you genuinely don’t play Vi. For everyone else, this is the pick. Been daily driving it since November and I dont see that changing anytime soon.
