High Noon Talon

First game I played with High Noon Talon I got a triple kill at dragon pit and immediately decided this was staying in rotation. Something about the dusty Western assassin fantasy just clicks with how Talon plays. You’re already roaming like a bounty hunter every game, jumping walls and flanking the backline. Slap a cowboy hat and a revolver blade on him and it feels right.

What High Noon Talon actually brings to the table

For 1350 RP you’re getting the full Epic package here. New model, new VFX on every ability, new recall animation. No new voice lines, voice stays default, but Travis Willingham’s base VO works fine with the theme honestly.

The W is where this skin shines hardest. Rake throws out these golden energy blades that trail sparks and dust particles. Landing the return hit in lane feels crunchier than base. Not sure if it’s just me but the hitbox reads cleaner with these VFX, probably just placebo but I swear my poke game improved. The Q dash leaves a trail of amber light, and proccing the passive bleed shows this burning brand effect on the target. Clean stuff.

Ult is the real showpiece though. R pops and these spectral revolvers fan out instead of standard blades. The converge animation when they snap back to your target has this satisfying gunsmoke burst. Been running this in Diamond for months and the R engages consistently look great in teamfights. Kinda feels like the VFX communicate threat better than base Talon, which matters when you’re diving their ADC.

Recall animation has Talon doing a quick-draw with his blade. Short and stylish. No complaints.

The High Noon line and where Talon fits

High Noon Talon dropped May 12, 2022. Season 12 was peak High Noon expansion if I remember right, Riot was pumping out skins for this line constantly. Ina Wong and West Studio handled the splash, they captured this lone gunslinger energy perfectly. Talon standing in a dusty canyon with his blade drawn, coat blowing in the wind. Banger splash.

The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s strongest thematic universes at this point. Talon fits naturally as the silent assassin type, the hired gun who shows up, gets the kill, and disappears over a wall. Literally what you do every game on this champion. I think the thematic alignment is what makes this skin work so well compared to some of his other options.

9 chromas total if you want variety. Obsidian turns the whole palette dark, goes hard for the edgy bounty hunter look. Nomad is the standout for me personally, the ice blue and red contrast reads different from anything else in Talon’s catalog (random aside: Nomad chroma is my phone lock screen, the color combo is that good). Pearl cleans everything up into whites and silvers if you want something lighter. Rest are solid but those three carry the set.

Is High Noon Talon worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: this is top pick for Talon mains. Played maybe 200 games with this skin across two seasons and I keep coming back. The VFX quality punches above its price point for an Epic tier skin. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get.

If you’re comparing against Enduring Sword or Withered Rose, High Noon wins on particle clarity. Last Thursday around 2 AM I was spamming ranked and switched between all three across different games. High Noon’s abilities read the cleanest against the Rift, especially the W poke in lane phase pre-6. Withered Rose looks good in the splash but the in-game model doesnt hit as hard.

Shop has it permanently, so no rush. But if you main Talon or you’re a one-trick looking for your daily driver skin, this is the one. Could be wrong here but I think it’s arguably the best Talon skin full stop. The Western assassin fantasy, the VFX quality, 9 chromas for customization. Hard to argue against 1350 RP for this package. Lock it in.
