Heartpiercer Fiora

First time I saw this skin pop up in champ select I thought it was a joke. Fiora in a Valentine’s outfit with a rose rapier? Kinda feels like Riot went all in on the cute angle for a champion who literally duels people to death. But after locking it in for maybe 30 or 40 ranked games back in season 9, the skin grew on me. Hard.

What Heartpiercer Fiora actually brings

So this is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP and you’re getting custom VFX across the board plus a new recall animation. Voice lines stay base, no VO refresh. The Q lunge trails pink and magenta particles that look genuinely clean in lane. Not subtle at all but thats kind of the point.

Her W, Riposte, gets this heart-shaped burst effect on the parry. Honestly the timing feels different with the new animation even though it isnt. Something about the visual feedback made me react faster in my Diamond games last season. Could be wrong here but I swear the particles read more clearly than base Fiora’s grey slash.

E procs leave little heart trails on the enhanced auto attacks. The second hit especially pops with the pink crit-style sparkle. In a splitpush scenario where you’re just auto-resetting on a tower, the VFX keep things interesting. Small detail but I noticed it around 1 AM grinding ranked on a Tuesday.

The ult is where Heartpiercer Fiora really sells itself. Grand Challenge vitals show up as pink heart markers on the target, and when you proc all four and pop the healing zone, rose petals rain down. Caught their Jinx out near dragon pit last week and the death animation with petals everywhere was chef’s kiss. The recall has Fiora catching a heart on her blade tip. Quick, clean, no filler.

The Heartbreakers line and release context

Heartpiercer Fiora dropped February 11, 2019. Right before Valentine’s Day, obviously. Part of the Heartbreakers skinline alongside Heartpiercer Quinn the same year. The line leans hard into the romantic warrior fantasy and Fiora fits it better than most champions would.

No splash artist credited in the data but whoever handled it captured the vibe. Fiora standing in a field of roses with that confident smirk. (Random aside: this splash was my phone lock screen for like three months before my duo partner roasted me for it.)

7 chromas total if you want variety. Obsidian turns the whole palette dark and moody, which honestly looks cleaner than the base pink in most lighting on the Rift. Amethyst hits a purple tone that reads well against green map terrain. Pearl goes white and gold, very elegant, probably my second favorite after Obsidian. The rest fill out the collection but those three carry it.

Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever. Gotta wait for the vault rotation or get lucky with Hextech crafting. Seen maybe 5 of these in my games all season because of that.

Is 1350 RP fair for Heartpiercer Fiora?

Real talk though. Fiora mains have options. Project Fiora exists. Pool Party Fiora exists. iG Fiora if you want the esports flex. Heartpiercer sits in a weird spot where it’s not trying to be edgy or competitive, it’s just pretty. And sometimes that’s what you want after a six game losing streak at 11 PM.

The VFX quality is solid for an Epic skin. Q and R feel responsive. Not sure if it’s just me but the auto attack animations feel slightly smoother than base, probably placebo from the particle work. Been running this in rotation with Pool Party for two seasons now and I keep coming back to Heartpiercer specifically for the ult visuals.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Standard pricing for above average execution. If you main Fiora and you like the aesthetic, grab it next time Legacy vault opens. If you want something more aggressive looking, skip this and go Project. Simple choice – huge impact on your daily queue experience depending on what mood you play in. Worth it for Fiora one-tricks who want the full collection, easy skip if you already own two or three of her skins and dont care about hearts and roses.
