Dragonmancer Fiora

First game I played with Dragonmancer Fiora was a late-night ranked session, maybe 1 AM on a Wednesday. Locked her in blind, hadnt even checked the spotlight video. The loading screen splash hit me and I sat there for a second just taking it in. Eric Xie and West Studio went hard on the splash, the dragon energy radiating off Fiora’s blade feels alive. Not every Epic skin earns that kind of first impression but this one does.

What the skin actually brings to the Rift

So the Dragonmancers line has always been about channeling draconic power through champions, and Fiora fits that fantasy better than I expected. The Q lunge trails dragon fire particles behind the blade. Clean. Not overdone. You can still read the hitbox perfectly in lane which matters when you’re trading around vitals pre-6.

W riposte gets this scaled barrier effect, kinda feels like a dragon wing unfurling for half a second. Could be wrong here but I think the parry VFX actually makes it slightly easier to time in teamfights because the visual feedback is sharper than base. Been running this in Diamond for about two months and the riposte reads never felt cleaner.

E is where the skin shines for me honestly. The auto-attack reset has these ember particles that proc on the second hit, and in a full combo where you’re weaving Q resets between vitals the whole thing flows together. Looks expensive for 1350 RP. The ult passive proc on all four vitals creates a dragon circle heal zone that looks way more dramatic than base Fiora’s. Good stuff.

Recall animation has Fiora summoning a dragon spirit and riding the energy upward. Standard Dragonmancer fare but it works. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is expected at this price point.

The Dragonmancer line and release context

Dragonmancer Fiora dropped January 9, 2024. Late into season 14’s opening. The Dragonmancers skinline has been one of Riot’s more consistent themes since they started it, and Fiora joining it felt overdue given how much her kit screams duel-focused dragon warrior.

8 chromas total. Obsidian is my go-to for ranked, the dark tones make the VFX pop harder against the Rift’s green. Tanzanite hits a purple mage-duelist vibe thats pretty unique for Fiora. Pearl looks clean but maybe too bright for my taste (random aside: my duo partner bought Pearl immediately and refuses to use anything else, so take that for what it’s worth).

Shop has it for 1350 RP. Permanent availability. Not gonna lie, for the price you’re getting solid value compared to some other Epic tier Fiora skins.

Should you pick up Dragonmancer Fiora?

Real verdict: if you main Fiora and you’ve been splitpushing your way through ranked, this skin competes with the best she has. I think it sits right below Pulsefire in terms of overall quality but above most of her older options. The VFX clarity on vitals and riposte alone make it worth considering for competitive play.

Where it falls short. The model itself is good but not groundbreaking. Season 14 I played maybe 60 games with this skin and a handful with iG Fiora for comparison. Dragonmancer wins on effects, iG wins on prestige factor. Different vibes entirely.

For Fiora one-tricks climbing through Diamond and above, 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The Dragonmancers theme gives her identity beyond just “fencing lady” and the ability VFX are clear enough that they wont mess with your gameplay. Been daily driving this over Project and Heartpiercer for a while now. Might be overthinking it but I think the Q particles actually help me track my own movement better in chaotic teamfights around dragon pit. Skip it if you already own Pulsefire and dont care about variety. Pick it up if you want a skin that looks premium without the Legendary price tag. S-tier Fiora cosmetic for the money.
