Yasuo

Yasuo Skins

18 skins available

Yasuo has 18 skins and honestly thats kind of wild when you stop and think about it. Been maining him on and off since season 4, back when High Noon was the only option and you just had to deal with the base model most games. The catalog now is stacked. Three Legendaries, three Mythics, ten Epics. Not sure if it's just me but Yasuo might have the single best skin lineup of any champion on the Rift right now. Every tier has something worth locking in, which you cant say about most rosters this size.

How Yasuo's Skin Collection Got This Deep

High Noon Yasuo dropped back in 2013 alongside the champion release. Standard tier, 975 RP. Simple cowboy reskin with no new particles or anything flashy. For years that was it. Then Riot figured out that Yasuo prints money and the floodgates opened.

The real acceleration started around 2017. PROJECT: Yasuo came first and gave him that cyber-samurai look the community was begging for. Blood Moon followed. Then Nightbringer in 2017 hit like a truck and suddenly Yasuo had his first Legendary. Could be wrong here but I think thats when Riot realized they could push multiple premium skins for this champ and people would still buy every single one.

Between 2018 and 2024 the pace never slowed down. Odyssey, Battle Boss, True Damage with the Prestige variant, Spirit Blossom, the Dragon skins, Inkshadow with another Prestige. Eighteen skins total spanning eleven years. Two Standard tier holdovers from the early days, ten Epics making up the bulk, three Legendaries that all deliver, and three Mythic/Prestige skins for collectors. Pretty loaded roster.

The year range alone tells a story. 2013 to 2024. Went from one cowboy skin to a catalog that rivals Lux and Ezreal. (Random aside: I checked and Yasuo actually has more Legendaries than most champions have total skins above 975 RP.) Season after season Riot kept feeding the Yasuo mains and one-tricks, and the quality kept climbing too. The newer releases are genuinely good, not just cash grabs. Mostly.

Best Skins for Yasuo

Nightbringer Yasuo is the one. Full stop. Released 2017, Legendary at 1820 RP, and it still holds up against everything that came after. The dark angel aesthetic with the corrupted blade fits Yasuo's kit perfectly. His Q thrust has this heavy red-black particle trail that reads clean in teamfights. W windwall goes from blue to this deep crimson barrier. Ult animation slams harder than base. New voice lines give him this fallen warrior energy that the base VO never had.

Been spamming Nightbringer in Diamond for multiple seasons now and the animations just feel crispy. The E dash leaves a trail that helps you track your own movement in chaotic fights. Might be overthinking it but I swear the auto attack cancel on Q feels smoother with this skin. Placebo probably but whatever. Best Yasuo skin if you can only own one.

Truth Dragon Yasuo and Dream Dragon Yasuo are the other two Legendaries. Both 1820 RP, both released together as a dual-skin concept. Truth Dragon goes white and gold with celestial dragon VFX on every ability. Dream Dragon flips it to dark purple with shadowy dragon particles. Played maybe 150 games across both and Truth Dragon edges it out for me. The Q tornado in Truth Dragon form has this spiraling golden effect thats gorgeous mid-lane. Dream Dragon's R animation is better though. Tough call between them honestly.

Spirit Blossom Yasuo deserves a mention even at Epic tier. 1350 RP but punches way above. The recall animation alone where he plays the flute under cherry blossoms, thats worth the price. The Spirit Blossom skinline just works for Yasuo. Samurai wanderer under pink trees. Natural fit. Locked this in for most of season 10 I think and never got tired of it.

True Damage Yasuo rounds out the top five. Modern streetwear aesthetic, clean particles, the music theme integration feels fresh. Not my personal favorite but the Prestige version in white and gold is genuinely one of the cleanest Prestige skins Riot has made. If you managed to grab Prestige True Damage back when it was available, you're sitting on a flex.

Skinlines and Themes That Fit Yasuo

Yasuo shows up in eight different skinlines and not all of them land equally. High Noon was the original and still makes sense. Wandering ronin, wandering gunslinger. Same energy. PROJECT gave him the futuristic treatment and it works because his kit translates well to sci-fi particle effects. The steel tempest Q as a laser slash, the windwall as a hard-light barrier. Good stuff.

Blood Moon Yasuo is where the thematic fit gets interesting. The oni mask, the crimson blade, the demon aesthetic. Kinda feels like Riot designed Blood Moon with Yasuo in mind even though the skinline existed before him. The Japanese mythology angle matches his base lore almost too well.

Nightbringer and Dawnbringer is probably the strongest thematic pairing. Yasuo as the corrupted dark entity fighting against order. His gameplay pattern of aggressive dashing and wind manipulation translates perfectly into chaos energy. (Sidebar for Yasuo mains specifically: the Nightbringer recall animation where he destroys the sword and reforms it is still the best recall in the game, fight me on that.)

Odyssey and Arcade Battle Boss are the weaker thematic fits in my opinion. They work fine visually but dont capture what makes Yasuo feel like Yasuo. Space pirate and retro villain are fun concepts but the samurai core gets lost. Spirit Blossom brings it back though. That skinline understands the character. True Damage goes modern and urban which shouldnt work for a swordsman but somehow does because the music integration carries it.

Budget vs Premium Picks

Real talk though. With Yasuo you're basically choosing between Epic and Legendary because the two Standard skins are ancient. High Noon at 975 RP is fine for nostalgia but the model looks dated compared to anything released after 2016. Sea Dog Yasuo is the other budget option. Pirate theme, 975 RP. Not terrible but not exciting either.

Best value pick is Spirit Blossom at 1350 RP. Epic tier pricing, borderline Legendary quality. New particles on Q, W, E, and R. Beautiful recall. Clean model. If you're climbing ranked on a budget and want one Yasuo skin that feels premium without the 1820 price tag, Spirit Blossom is the answer. PROJECT: Yasuo at 1350 is the runner-up for value.

If you're willing to go Legendary then Nightbringer at 1820 RP earns every point of that price. New VO, new animations, new particles across the board. Three Legendaries to choose from and honestly all three justify the cost but Nightbringer has the most personality. The Dragon skins are technically impressive but feel more like spectacle than character. Your call. For the Prestige and Mythic tier skins you either have them or you dont. Not really a "should I buy" situation since most aren't available through the regular shop anymore. Loot exclusive territory for Prestige True Damage and Prestige Inkshadow at this point.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Yasuo have?

Yasuo has 18 skins total as of 2024. Breakdown is two Standard, ten Epic, three Legendary, and three Mythic/Prestige. Pretty massive catalog for a champ released in 2013. Riot keeps feeding him new ones basically every year and I dont see that stopping anytime soon given how popular he stays in solo queue.

What is the best Yasuo skin?

Nightbringer Yasuo. Legendary tier, 1820 RP, released 2017 and still the top pick. New VO, completely overhauled particles, the dark angel theme fits his kit perfectly. Been my go-to for years. Truth Dragon and Dream Dragon are close but Nightbringer has more personality in the voice lines and recall.

What is the cheapest Yasuo skin?

High Noon Yasuo and Sea Dog Yasuo are both 975 RP, the cheapest in his lineup. High Noon is the classic release skin from 2013. Decent cowboy theme but the model shows its age. Sea Dog is the pirate variant. Neither is bad but for a few hundred more RP the Epic skins are a massive upgrade visually.

Does Yasuo have a Legendary skin?

Three of them actually. Nightbringer Yasuo, Truth Dragon Yasuo, and Dream Dragon Yasuo. All 1820 RP with new voice lines, animations, and full particle overhauls. Yasuo mains are eating good in the Legendary department. Most champs are lucky to get one, he's got three and they're all solid.

What skinlines is Yasuo in?

Eight skinlines: High Noon, PROJECT, Blood Moon, Nightbringer and Dawnbringer, Odyssey, Arcade Battle Bosses, True Damage, and Spirit Blossom. Plus some standalone entries like Inkshadow and Foreseen. Good variety across fantasy, sci-fi, and modern themes. Spirit Blossom and Nightbringer fit him best in my experience on the Rift.

Does Yasuo have chromas?

Yeah, several of his Epic skins have chroma sets. Battle Boss, Spirit Blossom, True Damage, and a few others got the chroma treatment. The Prestige skins are essentially glorified chromas themselves if you think about it. Spirit Blossom chromas in particular are worth checking out, the darker variants hit different in ranked games.

When was Yasuo's last skin released?

Battle Wolf Yasuo dropped in 2024, his most recent addition. Before that was Petals of Spring Yasuo. Riot stays consistent with giving Yasuo at least one new skin per year. Not gonna lie the pace is almost annoying if you're trying to collect them all because your wallet never gets a break.

Is Yasuo worth buying skins for?

If you play him regularly then absolutely. His skins genuinely change how the champion feels. The Legendary tier ones especially add new voice lines and animations that make laning more engaging. Even at Epic tier the particle changes on Q tornado and ult are noticeable. Just pick one you like and lock it in. Spirit Blossom for budget, Nightbringer for premium.
