Orianna Skins

12 skins available

Orianna is one of those champions where the skin catalog tells you exactly how Riot feels about her: consistent respect, zero Legendary love. Twelve skins deep and not a single one above 1350 RP. Kinda feels like they just never found the right moment to give her the full treatment. Been playing Orianna on and off since season 3, and honestly the Ball does half the selling for any skin because the particle work on her abilities matters more than the model itself. Some of her older skins look rough by today's standards but the Epic tier stuff from 2017 onward? Legitimately good. Here's what I think about every Orianna skin worth caring about.

How Orianna's Skin Collection Shaped Up Over 13 Years

Gothic Orianna dropped in 2011, same year she launched. Classic "here's a recolor for the new champ" energy from Riot back then. The early roster is what you'd expect from that era: Gothic, Sewn Chaos, Bladecraft. All Standard tier, all priced between 520 and 975 RP depending on when you look. They read like concept art experiments more than fully realized skins. Not bad for their time. Just aged poorly.

The catalog really picks up around 2015-2016. Winter Wonder Orianna was the first one where I thought okay, Riot actually put thought into the Ball. Turning it into a snowglobe? Smart. Then Heartseeker in 2016, Dark Star in 2017, and suddenly Orianna mains had real choices. Could be wrong here but I think Dark Star was the turning point where people started taking her skin options seriously.

Twelve skins total. Six Standard, six Epic. No Legendary, no Ultimate, no Mythic. The split is clean and honestly a little frustrating if you main her. Every Epic is 1350 RP and every one of them changes particles, which is the bare minimum for an Orianna skin to feel different. The Standards mostly just swap her outfit and call it a day. (Random aside: I keep forgetting TPA Orianna exists until someone locks it in and I have to squint at the loading screen.)

From 2011 to 2024 with T1 Orianna being the latest addition. Thirteen years of skins and the collection feels smaller than it should for a champion who's been meta-relevant basically forever. Compare that to Lux or Ezreal and its not even close. Orianna gets maybe one skin every couple years and then radio silence.

Best Orianna Skins You Should Actually Consider

Dark Star Orianna. Full stop. Been spamming this in Diamond since it dropped in 2017 and nothing else comes close to the feel. The Ball becomes this swirling dark matter orb that distorts space around it. Her Q sends it gliding through the Rift with this deep purple trail, W pulse looks like a collapsing star, and the R shockwave? Genuinely one of the most satisfying ult animations in the game. The dark energy VFX on E shield read cleanly in teamfights too. Not sure if it's just me but the Q feels smoother on this skin. Placebo probably. Still my go-to.

Heartseeker Orianna comes second. Released February 2016 and the Valentine's theme works better than you'd expect on a robot girl. Pink and gold color scheme, heart-shaped particles on abilities. The Ball gets this ornate golden frame that I think actually makes it easier to track in lane. Her W zone lights up with scattered hearts which sounds cheesy on paper but reads clean in practice. Played maybe 150 games on this one across seasons 6 and 7 before Dark Star stole the rotation.

Pool Party Orianna is the fun pick. Beach ball instead of The Ball. Honestly not gonna lie, the novelty factor carries it hard. Q throws a beach ball across the lane and something about that is inherently funny even after 50 games. The splash has her at the pool with the beach ball hovering and the whole vibe is lighthearted. Good for when you want to tilt your opponent by killing them with a pool toy. R pulling everyone in with a beach ball shockwave never gets old.

Star Guardian Orianna landed in 2022 and it fits her kit thematically. The Ball becomes this familiar-type creature. VFX lean into the sparkly magical girl aesthetic. Works well. Not my personal favorite because the color palette feels a bit too bright for my taste, especially in darker areas of the map. But Star Guardian mains swear by it.

Orbeeanna deserves a mention. Bee theme. The Ball is a beehive. Her abilities have honey-colored particles and little bee effects. Released 2021 and it leans hard into the cute factor. Grinded ranked with this one for about a month when it came out. The W especially looks great with the honeycomb pattern spreading on the ground. Real talk though, the skin name alone is worth the 1350 RP.

Skinlines and Where Orianna Fits

Orianna shows up in a surprising variety of skinlines for a champion with only twelve skins. Dark Star is the obvious standout. That entire line was built for cosmic horror champions and Orianna's mechanical nature fits the "corrupted by dark matter" theme perfectly. She sits alongside Dark Star Thresh, Jarvan, Varus in that universe and honestly she might be the best execution of the bunch.

The Heartbreakers line (Valentine's Day skins) gave her Heartseeker. Thematic fit is loose but the execution works. Winter Wonder put her in the holiday catalog. Goth was her launch skinline back when "Goth" was basically just "dark recolor." World Champions 2012 gave us TPA Orianna for Taipei Assassins' Worlds win, which is cool historically but the skin itself is dated.

Victorious Orianna came in 2018 as the ranked reward skin. Not purchasable. If you hit Gold or above in season 8 you got it. I remember the grind specifically for that skin, last two weeks of the season spamming games to make sure my rank held. The blue and gold Victorious color scheme looks clean on her but you either have it or you dont at this point.

Not gonna lie, I wish Riot would put her in more ambitious skinlines. Project Orianna feels like it writes itself. Mecha Orianna. Battle Queen Orianna. She's a robot with a floating orb, the design space is massive. Maybe the lack of a Legendary is holding back the really creative skinline placements since those tend to come with the higher tier skins.

Budget Picks vs Premium: What to Buy on a Wallet Diet

Here's the thing with Orianna. Her price ceiling is 1350 RP. No Legendary to agonize over. So the "premium" tier for her is just Epic, and every Epic skin she has changes particles. The real question is which 1350 RP skin gives you the most.

Dark Star at 1350. Best particle work, best thematic execution, best feel in ranked. Thats my answer every time someone asks.

If you want to save RP, Bladecraft Orianna at 975 is the budget pick that punches above its weight. The steampunk aesthetic with brass and gears changes her model meaningfully and while there's no new particles, the model holds up better than Gothic or Sewn Chaos. For 520 RP Gothic Orianna exists but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're collecting everything.

Sewn Chaos at 520 is the other ultra-budget option. Stitched doll theme. Looks fine in loading screen, looks rough in game. The Ball becomes a yarn ball which is a cute concept held back by 2012-era modeling. Could be coping but I think Sewn Chaos has a certain charm if you squint. Season 4 energy.

Fair warning, if you only buy one Orianna skin ever, make it Dark Star or Heartseeker. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get on either. The Standards are conversation pieces at best. Orbeeanna and Pool Party are strong alternates if you prefer personality over atmosphere in your skin choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Orianna have?

Twelve skins total as of 2024. Six Standard tier and six Epic tier. The roster spans from 2011 all the way to T1 Orianna in 2024. Decent count for a champion her age but feels light compared to other mid laners who've been around just as long. No Legendary or Ultimate in the mix which is kinda surprising honestly.

What is the best Orianna skin?

Dark Star Orianna. Not close. The cosmic VFX on every ability just hit different, especially the R shockwave. Been my main Orianna skin since 2017 and I keep coming back to it over newer releases. Heartseeker is second pick if you want something brighter. Pool Party if you want to have fun with it.

What is the cheapest Orianna skin?

Gothic Orianna and Sewn Chaos Orianna both sit at 520 RP. Cheapest you can go. Neither one changes particles though so you're just getting a model swap. Bladecraft at 975 is the sweet spot if you want something cheap that still looks intentional. The steampunk vibe holds up okay for the price.

Does Orianna have a Legendary skin?

Nope. Zero Legendaries. Her highest tier is Epic at 1350 RP and she has six of those. Honestly feels like an oversight from Riot at this point. Twelve skins across thirteen years and none above Epic. Been waiting for a Legendary Orianna announcement for seasons now. Maybe someday. Not holding my breath though.

What skinlines is Orianna in?

She shows up in Dark Star, Heartbreakers, Winter Wonder, Star Guardian, Pool Party, and a few others. The standout is Dark Star by far. Goth was her original launch skinline. TPA Orianna sits in the World Champions 2012 line and Victorious Orianna is the 2018 ranked reward. Decent variety across the collection.

Does Orianna have chromas?

Several of her Epic skins have chroma sets. Dark Star, Pool Party, Orbeeanna, and Star Guardian all got chromas. The selection is solid if you want to customize further beyond the base skin color. I think the Obsidian chroma on Dark Star is the cleanest option across all her sets. Worth checking the shop during Essence Emporium.

When was Orianna's last skin released?

T1 Orianna in 2024. It's a Worlds championship skin celebrating T1's victory. Before that was Star Guardian Orianna in 2022. So roughly a two-year gap between her last two skins which is pretty standard for mid-tier popularity champions. Not exactly getting annual drops but shes not forgotten either.

Is Orianna worth buying skins for?

If you play her regularly then absolutely. Orianna's kit is all about The Ball and her Epic skins transform how the Ball looks and feels. Dark Star alone justifies the investment. She's been meta-relevant basically forever in mid lane so your purchase wont collect dust. Even if she falls out of meta for a patch or two she always comes back. Solid investment for any mid main.
