Janna Skins
16 skins availableJanna's been my go-to enchanter since season 4 and honestly her skin catalog is one of the better ones for support mains. Sixteen skins total. Some absolute bangers in there, one Legendary that still holds up years later, and a few forgotten relics from 2010 that mostly collect dust. Not gonna lie, if you one-trick Janna in ranked you've got options at every price point, which is more than I can say for half the roster.

How Janna's Skin Collection Shaped Up Over 14 Years
Sixteen skins spanning 2010 to 2024. Thats a pretty solid catalog for a champion who spends most of her time pressing E on her ADC. The breakdown shakes out to five Standard tier skins, nine Epics, one Legendary, and one Mythic prestige. Heavy on the Epic side which makes sense given Riot's pricing shift post-2015.
The earliest skins are what you'd expect from that era. Hextech Janna dropped in 2010 and it's basically a texture swap with some goggles. Tempest Janna, Frost Queen Janna, same deal. Simple recolors that existed before Riot figured out they could charge 1350 for particle effects. Not knocking them though. Clean designs, just minimal effort by today's standards.
The real catalog starts around 2013 with Forecast Janna. That Legendary set the bar and honestly nothing since has fully topped it for personality. Then you get the mid-era Epics like Star Guardian and Sacred Sword which both delivered hard on the VFX front. Late-game Janna skins from 2020 onwards got more ambitious with Battle Queen, Crystal Rose, Cyber Halo, and eventually Heavenscale closing out 2024.
Could be wrong here but I think Janna might have one of the most consistent skin catalogs in the game. Very few outright misses. Even the weaker ones are just "fine" rather than actively bad. My ranked games over the past three seasons, I've rotated through maybe six of these regularly and never felt like I was stuck with garbage.
Best Janna Skins You Should Actually Own
Forecast Janna. Full stop. The Legendary from 2013 and still her best skin eleven years later. The weather reporter theme is so specific and weird that it just works. Her Q tornado becomes a weather system, W sends out wind gusts with actual meteorological flair, the E shield looks like a protective weather dome, and her R monsoon has this whole hurricane broadcast energy. The VO is what sells it though. Janna literally reports the weather mid-teamfight. "Partly cloudy with a chance of pain." Been spamming this in Diamond for years and the voice lines never get old.
Star Guardian Janna sits comfortably at number two. 1350 RP Epic from the first Star Guardian wave. She fits the magical girl aesthetic perfectly because she's already got the flowing hair and staff. Q sends out a sparkling star tornado, the shield on E has this pink crystalline look, and her ult scatters stardust across the Rift. (Random aside: this was actually the skin that made me pick up Janna as a secondary support pick back in season 7.) The splash is gorgeous too. Clean design, reads well in-game, strong recommend for 1350.
Sacred Sword Janna is slept on. Immortal Journey skinline, eastern fantasy aesthetic, and the VFX are crisp. The W passive movement gives her these trailing cherry blossoms and the tornado on Q looks like a blade storm. Not sure if it's just me but this feels like the most visually polished Epic she has. Smooth animations across the board.
Prestige Cyber Halo Janna for the collectors. Mythic tier so you can't just buy it. The white and gold colorway over the cyber framework looks premium. Played against this maybe twice all season in my ranked games and both times I had to double-check what champion it was because the silhouette reads differently.
Bewitching Janna rounds out the top five. Halloween thematic, witch hat, spooky particles. Solid Epic that does everything right without being spectacular. Good value at 1350 if you like seasonal aesthetics on your enchanters.
Skinlines and Where Janna Fits Thematically
Janna shows up across a bunch of different skinlines and most of them actually fit her kit fantasy. Star Guardian works because she's already ethereal and protective. Peel goddess energy. Immortal Journey with Sacred Sword leans into the wind deity angle which is literally her lore. Bewitching is a natural fit for any magical female champion, lets be real.
The Day Job line with Forecast is genius though. Taking the wind mage and making her a weather reporter is the kind of creative direction Riot used to nail more often. It's not just "Janna but purple" or "Janna but armored." It's a complete reimagining of her identity while keeping the kit readable. Wish they'd take more swings like that these days.
Hextech and Freljord lines are from the early era when skinlines were basically "cool word + champion." They exist. Fine for completionists. Victorious Janna is the ranked reward skin from season 2 so unless you played back then you're never getting it. Kinda feels like a flex piece more than anything you'd actually equip over Forecast or Star Guardian. (Sidebar for support mains specifically: the Victorious skin actually has decent in-game clarity, just outdated VFX.)
Crystal Rose and Heavenscale from the newer batch lean elegant and refined. Crystal Rose is wedding-adjacent aesthetic, Heavenscale goes full Lunar dragon energy. Both read well on Janna because she's already got that graceful floating silhouette that works with ornate designs.
Budget Picks vs Premium Investment
Real talk though. If you're climbing ranked on Janna and don't want to drop 1820 on Forecast, Star Guardian at 1350 is your best value play. Full VFX overhaul, great splash, recognizable in-game. Probably the most "worth it" Epic in her catalog for the price.
On the budget end, Frost Queen Janna at 520 RP punches way above its weight for what it costs. Simple ice recolor but the blue tones read clean on the Rift. Been daily driving it on my smurf account because honestly its fine for what it is when you dont want to flex.
If money's no object, Forecast is the obvious Legendary pick. 1820 RP, unique VO, complete thematic overhaul. Earns the price. For collection purposes the Prestige Cyber Halo is the chase piece but you cant buy it outright so that's a different conversation entirely.
The nine Epics at 1350 each range from "solid" to "great" with no real stinkers. Guardian of the Sands is probably the weakest of the bunch visually but even that one has clean particles. Janna mains are spoiled for choice compared to champions like Yorick or Rell who have like four skins total and half are mid.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many skins does Janna have?
Sixteen skins total as of 2024. Five Standard tier, nine Epics, one Legendary (Forecast), and one Mythic prestige. Pretty stacked catalog for an enchanter. Been collecting them since season 4 and still missing Victorious because I wasnt playing ranked back in season 2.
What is the best Janna skin?
Forecast Janna. No contest. The weather reporter VO, unique animations, and full VFX overhaul make it the best Janna skin full stop. Eleven years old and nothing has topped it. Star Guardian is second if you want Epic tier instead of Legendary pricing.
What is the cheapest Janna skin?
Frost Queen Janna and Tempest Janna sit at 520 RP. Basic recolors from the early days. Frost Queen is the better pick between them honestly, the ice blue reads clean in lane. Not flashy but gets the job done if you're on a budget.
Does Janna have a Legendary skin?
One Legendary. Forecast Janna at 1820 RP. Weather reporter theme with unique voice lines, new animations, completely different VO from base. Released 2013 and still holds up. Full Legendary price, earns it. Honestly surprised Riot hasn't given her a second one yet.
What skinlines is Janna in?
Star Guardian, Immortal Journey (Sacred Sword), Bewitching, Crystal Rose, Heavenscale, Cyber Halo, Battle Queen, Guardian of the Sands, and the unique Day Job line with Forecast. Also Legacy stuff like Hextech and Freljord from 2010. Wide spread across themes.
Does Janna have chromas?
Several of her Epic skins have chromas. Bewitching, Battle Queen, Crystal Rose, Cyber Halo, and Heavenscale all got chroma sets. Obsidian on Cyber Halo goes hard. If you're buying an Epic Janna skin released after 2020, theres probably chromas available for it.
When was Janna's last skin released?
Heavenscale Janna dropped in 2024. Lunar New Year themed Epic with dragon motifs. Good VFX, clean design. She's been getting consistent skin releases every year or two which is solid pacing for a support champion that's always meta-relevant.
Is Janna worth buying skins for?
If you play her regularly in ranked, absolutely. Janna's model benefits from skin upgrades because her base is so dated. Star Guardian at 1350 is the sweet spot for value. Forecast if you want the full experience. She's been meta for years so your investment holds up across patches.
