Not gonna lie, Tundra Fizz caught me off guard the first time I saw it in champ select. Someone on the enemy team locked in Fizz and I didnt even recognize him for a second. The whole arctic aesthetic just transforms the little fish dude into something that actually looks like he belongs in the Freljord instead of Bilgewater. Played against it maybe twice last season in Diamond and both times I had to double-take.

What Tundra Fizz actually changes

So this is a Standard tier skin at 750 RP, which means you’re not getting a full overhaul. Base voice lines, no new recall animation. What you do get is a complete model swap that turns Fizz into this white-furred yeti-looking creature with icy blue accents. The trident gets a frosty makeover too. Solid color work.

The VFX have some tweaks which is honestly surprising for a 750 RP skin from 2011. His Q still reads the same in lane but the coloring feels cooler, more blue-white than the default orange-green. Been maining Fizz on and off since season 4 and Tundra is one of those skins where the visual clarity actually helps. When you’re looking to proc your W passive in a trade, the hit feels clean. Could be wrong here but I think the E also has a slightly different particle color on the splash down.

Voice pack is base only. Standard for this price point. The animations are all default Fizz so your combo timing, your E hop over skillshots, your R shark throw, all muscle memory carries over perfectly. No weird visual noise to mess up your cs or your all-in timing pre-6.

The Legacy line and when this dropped

Tundra Fizz released November 15, 2011. That’s early. Like, Fizz himself came out that same patch cycle if I remember right, season 1 era. This was one of his launch skins alongside Atlantean Fizz. Part of the Legacy catalog, so availability rotates in and out of the shop.

No splash artist credited in the data for this one, which tracks for older skins. Riot wasnt exactly documenting everything back then. The splash itself is decent for its age. Shows Fizz in the tundra gear standing on ice, trident ready. Simple composition but it works. (Random aside: the splash gives me strong Anivia territory vibes, like Fizz wandered into the wrong lane.)

Zero chromas on this skin. Not surprising given the age and the Legacy status. Riot tends to reserve chroma batches for skins that are permanently in the shop or newer releases. Legacy vault skin means you’ll need to catch it during a vault opening or get lucky with Hextech crafting.

Should you pick up Tundra Fizz?

Real verdict: if you’re a Fizz one-trick looking to collect everything, 750 RP is nothing. Grab it when the vault opens. But if you’re choosing between this and something like Super Galaxy or Omega Squad, those skins offer way more for the price difference. Tundra is clean but minimal.

I ran this in about 15 ranked games last March just to test it out. The model holds up better than you’d expect for a skin thats over a decade old. In teamfights the white fur actually pops against Summoner’s Rift green, which gives you slightly better visual read on your engage timing. Kinda feels like the skin was ahead of its time on color contrast.

For 750 RP and a Standard tier package, Tundra Fizz delivers exactly what it promises. Nothing more. A cool reskin of the trickster with a winter theme that still looks decent in 2026. Skip it if you already own Fisherman or Fuzz Fizz. Worth it if you main Fizz and want variety in your skin rotation without dropping 1350 on every option.
