SKT T1 Alistar

First time I saw SKT T1 Alistar load into a game I thought somebody modded their client. The white and red jersey look on a massive minotaur just hits different compared to the usual dark fantasy Alistar skins. Been running this one on and off since season 7, mostly in Diamond ranked, and it still gets comments in champ select. Not even joking, last Thursday someone asked me if it was a rare skin. Technically yes.

What the skin actually changes on Alistar

So the big thing here is the model rework. Alistar gets a full SKT T1 team jersey, white base with red and black accents. The horns get a cleaner shape and there’s the SKT logo on his back. Looks like a pro athlete who could also trample you to death. Solid combo.

VFX got a refresh too. His Q slam has this red and white particle burst that reads really clean in teamfights. Honestly not gonna lie, the Pulverize animation with the new particles feels snappier even though the hitbox is identical. Placebo maybe. His W Headbutt trail picks up the red energy theme, and the E heal pulses have a subtle white glow. Nothing crazy for a Standard tier skin but more than I expected at 975 RP.

The recall is the standout. Alistar lifts the Summoner’s Cup trophy, which is a nice touch for a Worlds skin. Been playing maybe 200 games with this skin across multiple seasons and I still let the recall finish just to see the trophy lift. Could be wrong here but I think its one of the better esports recalls in the game.

Voice lines stay base. Same Harlan Hogan VO, no filter, no new lines. At this price point thats expected. The base Alistar voice is iconic enough anyway. “You can’t milk those” carries any skin.

The 2015 World Champions line and release context

SKT T1 Alistar dropped August 17, 2016. Part of the World Champions: 2015 skinline celebrating SKT’s dominance that year. Victor ‘3rdColossus’ Maury handled the artwork and captured the vibe perfectly. The splash has Alistar in full jersey mid-charge with the other SKT skins in the background.

The World Champions 2015 set is one of the cleaner esports skin batches Riot put out. Alistar fit the lineup because MaRin played it during that Worlds run. The skin carries that history. Season 5 or 6, dont remember exactly, but that SKT roster was terrifying. Seeing the skin in your bot lane still triggers some respect.

No chromas on this one. Straight Legacy vault skin, so you cant just grab it from the shop whenever. Hextech only these days unless Riot brings it back for a Worlds event. I picked mine up during a Legacy sale back in like 2018, maybe early 2019. (Random aside: I keep a spreadsheet of every Legacy skin I own and when I got them. Yes I know thats weird.)

Should you pick up SKT T1 Alistar?

Real verdict: 975 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX, solid recall animation, clean model. For a Standard skin in the Legacy pool thats above average. The World Champions 2015 skinline gives it collector value that most Alistar skins dont have.

If you main Alistar and you want something with history behind it, this is the pick. Moo Cow is funnier, Blackfrost is flashier, but SKT T1 Alistar has that esports prestige. Top pick for Alistar mains who care about pro play legacy. I lock in this skin specifically when I’m peeling for my ADC in ranked because it feels right. Support diff energy.

The catch is availability. Sits in the vault so you gotta wait for a Legacy event or roll it from chests. If it shows up in Your Shop or a Worlds celebration sale, dont sleep on it. 975 RP for an esports skin with actual VFX changes is a solid deal. Spammed this in Diamond last split and had zero regrets.
