First game I played with Pulsefire Fiora was around 2 AM on a weeknight, season 10 had just kicked off. Locked her in for a top lane ranked game and the loading screen splash hit different. The futuristic armor, the blade that looks like it was ripped straight out of a sci-fi anime. Played maybe six games that night. Could not stop.

What Pulsefire Fiora actually brings to the table

So this is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP and it checks the boxes you’d expect. New VFX across the board, new recall animation, but no new voice lines. Voice stays default. For what it changes though, the quality is there.

The Q lunge leaves this clean blue-white trail behind Fiora as she dashes. Feels snappier visually even though the animation timing is identical. Not sure if it’s just me but the vital procs on her passive look way more satisfying with the Pulsefire effects. That burst of energy when you hit a vital reads so much cleaner in teamfights compared to base skin where it can get lost in the chaos.

W riposte gets this holographic shield effect. Kinda feels like she’s projecting a force field instead of just parrying with her blade. The E auto resets have new hit particles too, that double strike crackles with electricity. Been running this in Diamond for a while and I can say the visual clarity on her abilities is genuinely good. Not just flashy for the sake of it.

The recall is where Riot had some fun. Fiora does this whole sequence where her blade transforms and she takes a fighting stance against a holographic target. Short and clean. No fifteen second anime sequence, just efficient. Fits the champion honestly.

R Grand Challenge vitals pop up with these futuristic markers around the target. When you proc all four and the healing zone drops, the ground effect is this pulsing blue circle thats easy to see. Crucial for teamfights when your backline needs to stand in it. I’ve had games where my ADC actually noticed the heal zone faster because of the skin VFX. Small thing but it matters when you’re peeling and diving at the same time.

The Pulsefire line and release context

Pulsefire Fiora dropped May 14, 2020. Mid-season 10. Maki Planas Mata nailed the splash, the composition with Fiora mid-lunge in her time-tech suit is one of the cleaner Pulsefire splashes in the line.

The Pulsefire skinline is one of Riot’s older sci-fi themes. Started with Pulsefire Ezreal way back, evolved into a full roster. Fiora fits the theme naturally. She’s already this precise, calculated duelist and putting her in time-traveling power armor just works. The Pulsefire aesthetic leans heavy into chrome and blue energy which matches her fencing style better than you’d think.

8 chromas total. Obsidian is my go-to, turns the whole suit dark with red accents and it reads like some villain version of Fiora. Sapphire deepens the blue to almost royal territory. Chrono is interesting because it flips the color scheme to navy and crimson, feels like an entirely different skin at that point. (Random aside: the Chrono chroma is basically what I imagine Project Fiora would look like if it had a prestige edition.) Could be wrong here but I think Chrono might actually be the best value chroma in the set because of how different it looks from base.

Available any time. Shop has it permanently so no vault rotation stress. 1350 RP standard Epic pricing.

Should you buy Pulsefire Fiora?

Real verdict: this sits comfortably in the upper half of Fiora’s skin catalog. Not her absolute best. Project Fiora and iG Fiora both exist and those are strong competitors. But Pulsefire brings a cleaner visual identity than most of her options.

If you’re a Fiora main climbing in ranked and you want something that looks good without being distracting, this is a solid pick. The VFX clarity on vitals and Grand Challenge genuinely helps in lane and in late-game splitpush scenarios where you’re 1v1ing constantly. Been maining Fiora with this skin across maybe 150 games last season and the visual feedback never got old.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Not overpriced, not a steal. Standard Epic execution done right. The chromas add longevity if you get bored of the base look. Honestly not gonna lie, Obsidian chroma Pulsefire Fiora might be my most played skin variant across all champions this season. If you main Fiora and want a sci-fi option that doesn’t go full mecha, Pulsefire is the one. Skip it if you already own Project though, there’s enough thematic overlap that owning both feels redundant unless you’re collecting.

Maybe just my experience but in my Diamond games I see Pulsefire Fiora more than most of her other skins besides iG. Worth something.
