Soul Fighter Skins

All 12 skins in the Soul Fighter skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Soul Fighter skin in League of Legends.

Soul Fighter hit the Rift summer 2023 and I remember the first time I saw the event trailer. Riot went full anime fighting game aesthetic, bright neon outlines, over-the-top combat poses, the whole shonen tournament arc vibe. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first because Riot has a habit of forcing champions into skinlines where they dont belong. But Soul Fighter actually landed well for most of the roster. The color palette leans heavy into golds, whites, and electric blues with this celestial martial arts energy that reads clean in-game. Twelve skins total across the line, and a few of them genuinely slap.

What Sets Soul Fighter Apart on the Rift

The visual signature here is pretty distinct from anything else Riot's done. Think fighting game select screen meets anime tournament arc. Every champion gets this glowing aura effect, white and gold dominating with splashes of each champion's signature color bleeding through. The splash arts all share this arena backdrop, like they're competing in some interdimensional martial arts tournament. Clean concept.

Could be wrong here but I think what makes Soul Fighter work is the commitment to the fighting game bit. The recalls are all combat finishers. The VFX lean into impact frames and hit sparks. Even the idle animations feel like pre-fight stances. Compare that to something like PROJECT where the "futuristic" label covers everything from cyberpunk to mecha depending on the skin, Soul Fighter keeps its identity tight across all twelve entries.

Color palette wise, the line runs mostly white and gold with electric blue accents. Samira's Ultimate version pushes into deeper reds and blacks during her transformations, and Viego's Legendary gets that dark corrupted variant that contrasts hard against the rest. But the base look is consistent. You see a Soul Fighter skin in a teamfight around dragon pit at 25 minutes, you know exactly what line it belongs to. That kind of instant recognition is something Riot misses on a lot of their skinlines honestly.

(Random aside: the Soul Fighter event client music was genuinely the best login theme Riot dropped that whole year and I kept the client open just to listen to it.)

The shared VFX language pulls from fighting game conventions. Hit sparks on abilities. Screen-shake energy on ults. The particle work is detailed enough on the Epics that you dont feel shortchanged, which isnt always the case with 1350 RP skins in bigger lines. Real talk though, the Legendary and Ultimate tier entries carry a different weight entirely.

Best Soul Fighter Skins Worth Locking In

Soul Fighter Samira is the headline and honestly it earns that Ultimate price tag. 3250 RP is steep, been saying that since it dropped. But. The skin evolves through the game based on your style rating, which is peak Samira design. Her passive already tracks style grades, so tying the skin's visual progression to S-rank combos just makes sense. Played maybe 80 games with this one in Diamond last season and the transformation at max style grade genuinely changes how the skin feels. Q particles shift, the ult VFX goes from clean white energy to this full crimson explosion. Best Ultimate skin since Elementalist Lux and I will die on that hill.

Soul Fighter Viego sits right behind as the Legendary. 1820 RP. New VO, new animations, the whole package. Viego mains I know swapped to this immediately and havent gone back. The possession mechanic looks particularly clean with the Soul Fighter VFX layered on top. His W dash leaves this trail of golden energy that reads well for both you and your opponents. Kinda feels like the skin was designed around Viego's kit rather than the other way around, which is the mark of a good Legendary.

Not sure if it's just me but Soul Fighter Sett might be the sleeper pick of the whole line. Epic tier at 1350 RP and the W true damage zone looks incredible with the fighting game hit spark overlay. The haymaker animation has this extra weight to it. Been running this in ranked since patch 13.14 and it still feels fresh. For an Epic, Sett punches way above his price point here.

The two Prestige editions for Shaco and Pyke add the expected golden chroma treatment. Prestige Pyke specifically goes hard because Pyke's execute ult with the gold VFX is one of those "highlight reel" moments. Saw a Pyke one-trick on the enemy team running it last summer around 1 AM in a late night ranked session, the death screen with that gold X slash burned into my memory.

Soul Fighter Evelynn rounds out the top five. Solid Epic execution. Her charm indicator with the Soul Fighter styling reads cleaner than most of her other skins, and the stealth shimmer effect got a nice golden tint. Not the flashiest entry but Evelynn mains who like the aesthetic wont be disappointed.

The Soul Fighter Champion Roster

Ten champions across twelve skins counting the two Prestige variants. Might be overthinking it but the roster selection feels like Riot specifically picked champions with flashy, combat-forward kits. Makes sense for a fighting game skinline.

Samira and Sett are obvious fits. Both have brawler energy baked into their base designs. Samira literally grades your combos. Sett punches people. You could not pick two better champions for a fighting tournament theme. Viego works because the brooding antagonist archetype slots right into the anime villain role, and his Legendary treatment gives him the VO to sell it.

Pyke and Shaco getting Prestige editions was an interesting call. Pyke fits the assassin archetype in the tournament bracket, sure. Shaco feels slightly more forced but the trickster fighter trope exists in enough fighting games that it works. Jhin is the wildcard pick, literally, and his four-shot obsession translates into a "precision striker" character pretty naturally.

Lux and Gwen are fine inclusions. Lux sells skins, thats just the reality, and her kit has enough projectile work to look good in the fighting game style. Gwen's scissors already feel like a fighting game moveset with the snip snip combo. Naafiri was brand new when Soul Fighter dropped in 2023, so including her was clearly a launch promotion play. She works okay but I think champions like Lee Sin or Vi would have been stronger thematic fits. Evelynn rounds it out as the femme fatale archetype and honestly she's one of the stronger entries despite being less obvious than the brawlers.

(Sidebar for anyone who played the Soul Fighter event mode: that 2v2v2v2 arena mode was actually fire and I wish Riot kept it permanent instead of rotating it out.)

Tier Breakdown and Pricing

The spread across tiers is interesting. Eight Epics at 1350 RP each form the backbone. One Legendary at 1820 for Viego. One Ultimate at 3250 for Samira. Two Mythic Prestige editions for Shaco and Pyke.

Epics do the heavy lifting here and they do it well. The 1350 RP skins in this line feel more polished than average for the tier. VFX work is consistent, recall animations are unique per champion, and the splash arts are all high quality. If you're climbing ranked on a budget, any of the Epics give you the Soul Fighter fantasy without dropping Legendary money.

That said. The Legendary and Ultimate entries are where Soul Fighter peaks. Viego's Legendary earns the 1820 asking price with new VO and animation work that actually changes how the champion feels. Samira's Ultimate at 3250 is the most expensive option but the evolving skin mechanic tied to her passive is genuinely innovative. Fair warning, once you play with the style-grade evolution you wont want to go back to static skins on Samira.

Prestige editions sit in their own pricing category since you couldnt buy them directly. Shaco and Pyke Prestige were event pass rewards during summer 2023. If you missed the grind window, you're looking at Mythic Essence rotation or rerolls. The golden treatment on both looks premium but they're essentially upgraded chromas of the base Epic versions. Not must-haves unless you main either champion.

Price range for the line runs 1350 to 3250 RP. Most players will find their sweet spot in the Epic tier. That 1350 entry point is standard and the quality justifies it across the board. Think I spent around 6000 RP total during the event grabbing Samira, Sett, and the Viego Legendary. No regrets three seasons later.

Soul Fighter Skins FAQ

How many Soul Fighter skins are there?

12 Soul Fighter skins total as of 2024, counting the two Prestige editions for Shaco and Pyke. The base line covers 10 unique champions. Riot dropped the whole batch during summer 2023 alongside the Arena event mode. Could see them adding more eventually but nothing confirmed yet. Solid roster for a single-event skinline.

What is the best Soul Fighter skin?

Soul Fighter Samira takes it for me. The Ultimate tier treatment with evolving VFX based on your style grade is peak skin design. If you cant justify 3250 RP, Soul Fighter Viego's Legendary is the next best pick with full new VO and animations. For budget options, Sett's Epic punches above its weight at 1350 RP. Been spamming all three in ranked and they all hold up.

Which champions have Soul Fighter skins?

Ten champions got Soul Fighter skins: Samira, Viego, Sett, Pyke, Shaco, Evelynn, Lux, Jhin, Gwen, and Naafiri. Shaco and Pyke also have Prestige editions on top of their base Soul Fighter skins. Pretty brawler-heavy roster which makes sense for the fighting game theme. Most of them fit naturally, maybe Naafiri feels slightly forced but she was new at the time.

Does Soul Fighter have Legendary skins?

One Legendary at 1820 RP for Viego and one Ultimate at 3250 RP for Samira. Viego's Legendary includes new voice lines and full animation overhaul. Samira's Ultimate goes even further with the evolving style-grade mechanic. Both worth the premium if you main either champion. The rest of the line sits at Epic tier which is solid but different league entirely.

When did the Soul Fighter skinline release?

Soul Fighter launched summer 2023, around patch 13.14 if I remember right. The whole line dropped alongside the Arena 2v2v2v2 event mode which was a blast. All twelve skins released in the same patch window. Single event release, no staggered drops. Riot went all-in on the fighting game theme for that summer and it paid off honestly.

Are Soul Fighter skins worth buying?

For mains of any champion in the lineup, yes. The Epic tier skins at 1350 RP are above average quality with strong VFX and unique recalls. Samira's Ultimate is worth it if you one-trick her. Viego's Legendary earns its price. The line has consistent quality across the board which isnt always true for event skinlines. I'd say skip only if you dont play any of the ten champions.

Do Soul Fighter skins have chromas?

The Epic tier Soul Fighter skins have chroma sets available. Standard fare with Ruby, Obsidian, and other usual suspects. The Prestige editions for Shaco and Pyke are essentially their own premium color variants. Samira's Ultimate doesnt need chromas because the skin evolves visually through gameplay. Viego's Legendary has chromas available too if you want to mix up the color scheme.

Will Riot make more Soul Fighter skins?

Nothing confirmed as of early 2026. Riot sometimes revisits popular event lines though. Spirit Blossom got a second wave, so did Star Guardian multiple times. Soul Fighter had strong reception and the Arena mode was popular enough to return. Could be wrong here but I think champions like Lee Sin, Vi, or Yasuo would be perfect additions if Riot ever runs it back.
