Fizz

Fizz Skins

13 skins available

Fizz is one of those champions where I have a love-hate relationship with the skin catalog. 13 skins deep since 2011 and not a single Legendary. Let that sink in. A champion thats been terrorizing mid lane for over a decade, one of the most played assassins in solo queue history, and Riot still hasnt given him a Legendary tier skin. Kinda feels like they forgot about the fish. Been maining Fizz on and off since season 3, and every time a new skinline drops I check the PBE hoping for a Fizz Legendary. Still waiting.

Every Fizz Skin from 2011 to 2024

Fizz launched in November 2011 with Atlantean Fizz and Tundra Fizz shipping alongside his base kit. Classic release strategy from Riot back then. Two skins on day one, both simple recolors at the Standard tier. The catalog grew slowly at first, with Fisherman Fizz dropping sometime after as another 520-975 RP option. Those early skins are charming in a nostalgic way but they dont hold up against modern Epic quality. Not even close.

The real Fizz skin era started when Riot began pumping out 1350 RP Epics. Void Fizz, Cottontail Fizz, Super Galaxy Fizz, Omega Squad Fizz - these are where the catalog actually gets interesting. Seven of his 13 skins sit at Epic tier and honestly thats where the value is for Fizz players. Could be wrong here but I think Fizz has one of the better Epic skin libraries for any assassin in the game. Quality over quantity with these.

Two Mythic skins round out the collection. Prestige Fuzz Fizz from the original Cats Versus Dogs event and the 2022 re-release version. Both are event-exclusive Prestige editions, so you either grinded the pass or you didn't. No Legendaries, no Ultimates. The ceiling for Fizz skins is 1350 RP if you're shopping in the regular store.

Rain Shepherd Fizz came out in 2024 as the newest addition. 13 skins across 13 years is roughly one per year which feels about right for a champion of Fizz's popularity. Not the fastest release cadence but not neglected either. (random aside: I keep a spreadsheet tracking skin release gaps for my champion pool and Fizz is solidly mid-tier in terms of attention from Riot)

Best Fizz Skins to Lock In

Omega Squad Fizz. Full stop. Been running this skin in Diamond since it dropped and the military theme on an aquatic assassin shouldnt work but it absolutely does. The Q animation feels snappier with the combat knife lunge, W procs have this satisfying tactical hit marker feel, and the R shark gets replaced with a giant military drone fish thing. Hard to describe. You just have to see it. The recall animation where Fizz salutes is clean too. 1350 RP well spent for mains.

Super Galaxy Fizz is the flashy pick. Mecha suit Fizz with neon VFX on every ability. The E - Playful/Trickster gets this massive energy burst that looks way more impactful than base. Not gonna lie, the skin can be visually noisy in teamfights. Played maybe 30 games with it last split and I found myself occasionally losing track of my own character in chaotic fights around dragon pit. Still looks incredible though. The Super Galaxy skinline fits champions who have big personality and Fizz has personality for days.

Void Fizz goes dark. Purple corruption theme, the shark ult becomes this Void creature emerging from the ground. Spammed this one during a Fizz phase back in season 10 I think. The color palette reads well against Summoner's Rift and the ability VFX have enough contrast that you can track everything. Solid competitive pick if you care about visual clarity while climbing.

Fuzz Fizz and both Prestige versions deserve a mention. The cat costume concept is hilarious. Fizz in a kitten onesie throwing a giant cat as his ult. Might be overthinking it but the humor factor actually tilts opponents. Had a Zed in my ranked games last Tuesday who all-chatted "I cant take this champion seriously" right before I solo killed him at level 6. The Prestige editions add gold and white chromas to the cat suit. If you have either Prestige variant, respect. Those event passes were a grind.

Little Devil Fizz is the sleeper. Released for a Harrowing event, the demon theme transforms the shark into this massive devil creature. The skin gets overlooked because it came out between bigger releases but the quality is there. Seen maybe 5 of these in my games all season which means you get style points for rarity alone.

Fizz Across Riot's Skinlines

Fizz shows up in eight different skinlines and honestly the variety is decent. Forgotten Depths with Atlantean Fizz, Curse of the Void with Void Fizz, Cottontail for the seasonal Easter skin, Super Galaxy for the mecha treatment, Omega Squad for military, Cats Versus Dogs for the Fuzz line, and whatever category Little Devil and Rain Shepherd fall into.

The skinlines that work best for Fizz are the ones that lean into his trickster personality. Super Galaxy and Omega Squad both give him a larger-than-life presence that fits how he plays. You're this tiny annoying fish diving into the backline, dodging everything with E, and chunking carries. The serious military or cosmic themes create this funny contrast with his goofy animations. Real talk though, the Cottontail line feels forced on Fizz. Bunny ears on a fish. The skin is fine but thematically its a stretch.

Cats Versus Dogs is peak Fizz theming. A cat costume on an aquatic champion who throws sea creatures. The absurdity is the point. Riot understood the assignment with Fuzz Fizz and the Prestige variants. The skinline captures what makes Fizz fun to play - he's not meant to be taken seriously even when he's one-shotting your ADC from fog of war.

Missing from the catalog: any dark fantasy or serious lore-adjacent skin. No Coven Fizz, no Dark Star Fizz, no high fantasy variant. (sidebar for Fizz one-tricks: imagine a Deep Sea or Eldritch Horror Fizz where the shark ult becomes a Lovecraftian tentacle monster - Riot please) The champion's kit practically begs for a cosmic horror interpretation but Riot keeps going lighthearted with his themes. Fair enough I guess.

Budget Picks vs Premium Fizz Skins

The Standard tier options - Atlantean, Tundra, Fisherman, and Cottontail - range from 520 to 975 RP. Fisherman Fizz punches above its weight class for the price. The fishing rod trident and the Urf shark on his ult are iconic at this point. Been playing since the early seasons and Fisherman Fizz still gets respect in lobby. Legacy skin energy. If you want a cheap Fizz skin that doesnt look dated, thats your pick.

At Epic tier the jump in quality is massive. Void Fizz or Omega Squad at 1350 RP give you custom particles on every ability, new sound effects, recall animations, the works. The price gap between 975 and 1350 RP is only a few bucks but the quality gap is enormous. Worth the upgrade if you play Fizz regularly in ranked.

No Legendary option exists which means the most you'll spend on a standard Fizz skin is 1350 RP. Honestly this keeps things simple. You dont need to agonize over whether a 1820 RP skin justifies the price because the option doesnt exist. Every Epic skin in the catalog hovers around the same quality ceiling. Pick the theme you like and lock it in. For pure value per RP spent, Omega Squad Fizz at 1350 is the answer. New model, full VFX overhaul, unique theme. Standard pricing, above-average skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Fizz have?

Fizz has 13 skins total as of 2024. Four Standard tier, seven Epic tier, and two Mythic Prestige editions. Decent catalog for a champion released in 2011. Not the biggest collection out there but enough variety that you wont get bored rotating through them in ranked. Been cycling through about 5 of them personally.

What is the best Fizz skin?

Omega Squad Fizz for competitive play, Fuzz Fizz for fun. Omega Squad has the cleanest VFX and the military theme hits different on an assassin. If you want pure style points though, the cat suit is unmatched. Locked in Omega Squad for most of my Diamond games this season. Personal preference but I think its the best Fizz skin full stop.

What is the cheapest Fizz skin?

Tundra Fizz and Atlantean Fizz at 520 RP are the cheapest options. Simple recolors from 2011 with no new particles or animations. Fisherman Fizz at 750-975 RP is a better value if you can stretch the budget slightly. The fishing rod concept alone carries it above the basic recolors.

Does Fizz have a Legendary skin?

No. Fizz has zero Legendary skins. His catalog caps out at Epic (1350 RP) for purchasable skins and Mythic for the two Prestige editions. Honestly feels like an oversight from Riot at this point. Champion's been out since 2011. Maybe someday. Not holding my breath though.

What skinlines is Fizz in?

Fizz appears in Forgotten Depths, Curse of the Void, Cottontail, Super Galaxy, Omega Squad, and Cats Versus Dogs among others. Eight skinlines total across 13 skins. The variety is solid. Super Galaxy and Omega Squad fit him best in my opinion. Cats Versus Dogs is the funniest by far.

Does Fizz have chromas?

Several of Fizz's Epic skins have chroma options available. Fuzz Fizz and some of the newer releases come with chroma packs you can grab separately. The Prestige editions are essentially fancy chromas themselves. Check the store page for whichever skin you're eyeing to see current chroma availability.

When was Fizz's last skin released?

Rain Shepherd Fizz dropped in 2024 as his most recent skin. Before that Fizz went a decent stretch without new content. The release cadence averages about one skin per year since 2011 which is reasonable. Not neglected but not prioritized either. Feels like Riot remembers Fizz exists about once a year.

Is Fizz worth buying skins for?

If you play Fizz regularly in ranked then absolutely. His Epic skins transform the champion feel significantly and at 1350 RP the price is reasonable. Wouldn't invest in skins for a champion you play twice a month though. Fizz mains and one-tricks get their money's worth. Casual players can grab Fisherman Fizz cheap and call it a day.
