Omega Squad Skins

All 5 skins in the Omega Squad skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Omega Squad skin in League of Legends.

Omega Squad is one of those skinlines that punches way above its roster size. Five skins. All yordles. Military spec ops aesthetic slapped onto the smallest champions in the game. Sounds like a joke concept on paper, right? It's not. The whole line leans into this dark, war-torn vibe that feels completely at odds with yordle energy, and thats exactly why it works. Been running Omega Squad Teemo on and off since 2015 in ranked and the skin still holds up. Riot went hard on this one and then just stopped making them. Classic move.

What Makes Omega Squad Stand Out on the Rift

Not gonna lie, the first thing you notice about Omega Squad is how serious it is. These are yordles geared up for war. We're talking night-vision goggles, tactical vests, military-grade weaponry. The color palette across the whole line sits in this olive drab, dark green, burnt orange range. Feels like a war movie poster if the cast was three feet tall. The splash arts across all five skins share that gritty, desaturated look that you don't see much in League anymore.

What ties the line together visually is the gear. Every champion carries military hardware that replaces their usual fantasy weapons. Tristana's cannon becomes a proper assault rifle setup. Twitch hauls around what looks like a portable chem launcher. Veigar's staff turns into some kind of dark energy tactical device. The shared design language is tight. Consistent without being copy-paste.

Could be wrong here but I think Omega Squad was one of Riot's first real attempts at a "dark yordle" concept. Before this you had yordles in cute skins, funny skins, maybe some edgy ones. Omega Squad went full PTSD narrative. Teemo's voice lines reference fallen squadmates. That level of commitment to a skin theme was rare back in 2015. Still is, honestly.

The VFX work varies by skin tier obviously. Teemo's Legendary gets the full treatment with custom particles on every ability. The four Epics share that military green particle set but each champion has enough individual flair. Fizz's abilities trail with toxic green smoke. Veigar's dark matter drops like an airstrike. Small touches that sell the fantasy without going overboard. Compare this to something like Arcade where every skin is neon chaos. Omega Squad keeps it restrained. Disciplined. Like actual soldiers would.

(Random aside: my desktop wallpaper was the Omega Squad group splash for like two years straight in college. Nobody at my part-time job understood it.)

Best Omega Squad Skins Worth Locking In

Starting with the obvious pick. Omega Squad Teemo is the crown jewel and its not even close. Legendary tier at 1820 RP, dropped in 2015, and it completely reimagines the champion. New voice lines that are genuinely unsettling. Teemo talks about war, loss, fallen comrades. His shrooms become proximity mines with military casings. The recall animation has him pulling out a map and marking targets. Been spamming this in Diamond during those seasons where Teemo top randomly becomes viable and the skin carries the psychological warfare harder than the blind itself. Enemy laners tilt faster when they see that military beret in loading screen. Real phenomenon.

Omega Squad Tristana is my second favorite. Kinda feels like they gave her the most love out of the four Epics. Her cannon redesign looks sick, the auto attack sounds have that satisfying military punch to them. W jump leaves behind a smoke trail. Playing her as ADC last season around November, the rocket jump VFX felt cleaner than some of her other Epic options. At 1350 RP she's a solid pick for Tristana mains who want something grittier than Firefighter or Dragon Trainer.

Omega Squad Twitch slides into third. Might be overthinking it but the rat-in-military-gear concept hits different when you realize Twitch is already a sneaky little assassin type champion. The thematic overlap between "stealth rat" and "covert ops soldier" just works. His Q stealth activation has this night-vision filter effect. Spray and Pray becomes an actual machine gun barrage. Perfect for those ranked games where you're going Twitch jungle and want to feel like you're running black ops in the enemy jungle.

Veigar's entry is solid. Not spectacular. The dark matter W coming down as a bombardment is the highlight. His cage feels appropriately military. But something about tiny evil yordle mage in tactical gear doesn't land as hard as the others for me. Still a good skin at 1350 RP, just not the standout.

Fizz rounds out the squad. Honest take: he's the weakest link thematically. Fizz is a trickster fish yordle. Putting him in military gear feels the most forced of the five. The shark ult becomes a submarine which is creative, sure. But the whole aquatic assassin identity clashes with the ground-troops aesthetic. Pick it up if you're a Fizz one-trick who wants variety, skip it otherwise.

The All-Yordle Roster

Here's what makes Omega Squad genuinely unique in League's skinline catalog: every single champion is a yordle. Teemo, Tristana, Twitch, Veigar, Fizz. Five yordles geared for war. No humans. No monsters. No Lux. That restraint from Riot is almost unbelievable by modern standards where every popular skinline gets a Yasuo or Ahri variant within two years.

Not sure if it's just me but the yordle-only restriction actually strengthens the line. There's a narrative coherence you dont get when skinlines just grab whoever's popular. These five feel like an actual squad. Small, scrappy, dangerous. The size difference between yordles and regular champions on the Rift adds to the visual comedy of seeing them in full tactical gear. Season 7 I think, maybe late season 6, I had a full Omega Squad comp in ARAM once. All five. The loading screen looked like a war movie cast photo. Never happened again in maybe 3000 ARAMs since.

Who should Riot add if they ever revisit? Kled feels obvious. Military-adjacent yordle who's already unhinged about territory and war. Poppy with a tactical hammer could work too. But real talk though, part of me hopes they just leave it at five. Not every skinline needs fifteen members. Sometimes a tight squad is better than an army.

(Sidebar for yordle mains specifically: this is the only skinline where you can run a full team of your kind and have a shared aesthetic. That matters more than it should.)

Tier Distribution and Pricing

Omega Squad runs lean on tiers. One Legendary. Four Epics. No Ultimates, no Mythics, no Standard-tier budget options. The price floor is 1350 RP and the ceiling is 1820 RP for Teemo's Legendary.

The four Epics do the heavy lifting for the line in terms of accessibility. 1350 RP each. Standard Epic pricing. Each one delivers custom VFX, new models, sound effects. Fair value across the board. Maybe just my experience but I think Epic is the sweet spot for a skinline like this where the theme is strong enough that you don't need Ultimate-tier production to sell it. The military aesthetic reads clearly even without new voice lines on the Epics.

Teemo's Legendary at 1820 RP earns the price tag. Full VO replacement, unique animations, custom particles on every ability. When this dropped in March 2015 it was one of the better Legendaries in the game. Still competitive today honestly. The VO alone carries it. You're paying 470 RP more than an Epic and getting substantially more content.

Total investment if you want the whole squad: 7220 RP before any sales. Not cheap but not insane either. Compare that to Star Guardian where buying every skin could run you 15000+ RP easy. Omega Squad respects your wallet. Small roster, fair pricing. Done.

Omega Squad FAQ

How many Omega Squad skins are there?

Five total. Teemo, Tristana, Twitch, Veigar, and Fizz. All yordles, which is the whole point of the line. Riot released them across 2015 and 2017, then never touched the skinline again. Tight roster, no filler picks. Honestly prefer it this way over skinlines that bloat to 20+ members and lose identity.

What is the best Omega Squad skin?

Omega Squad Teemo and it's not close. Legendary tier with full voice-over replacement that turns Teemo into a war-scarred veteran. The VO alone makes it worth 1820 RP. Been running it in ranked for years. If you don't play Teemo, Tristana is the best Epic option. Her cannon redesign and jump VFX are clean.

Which champions have Omega Squad skins?

Teemo, Tristana, Twitch, Veigar, Fizz. All five are yordles, making Omega Squad the only skinline in League with an all-yordle roster. Each one gets the full military treatment with tactical gear, night vision goggles, and military-grade weapon redesigns. Feels like an actual covert ops team.

Does Omega Squad have Legendary skins?

One Legendary: Omega Squad Teemo at 1820 RP. It was one of the standout Legendaries when it dropped in 2015. New voice lines, custom animations, unique recall. The other four skins are all Epic tier at 1350 RP each. No Ultimates or Mythics in the line. Teemo carries the premium end solo.

When did the Omega Squad skinline release?

Omega Squad Teemo launched first in March 2015 as a standalone Legendary. The remaining four skins - Tristana, Twitch, Veigar, Fizz - dropped together in 2017 as an Epic batch. So the line spans about two years from start to finish. Riot hasnt added new members since 2017. Feels like a finished project.

Are Omega Squad skins worth buying?

If you play any of these five champions regularly, yes. Teemo's Legendary is one of his best skins period. The Epics are all solid value at 1350 RP with custom VFX and model changes. Weakest pick is probably Fizz since the military theme clashes with his aquatic kit. Tristana and Twitch are the best bang for your RP among the Epics.

Do Omega Squad skins have chromas?

Some of them do. The 2017 batch got chromas when Riot started pushing chromas harder across new releases. Teemo's original 2015 Legendary launched without chromas initially. Check each individual skin page for the full chroma breakdown. The military palette works well with recolors since camo patterns naturally come in different color schemes.

Will Riot make more Omega Squad skins?

Could be coping but I doubt it. Last Omega Squad release was 2017 and Riot hasn't mentioned the line since. They tend to revisit popular skinlines like Star Guardian or Project before touching smaller ones. Kled would be the obvious addition if they ever did. But honestly, five yordles feels complete. Not every line needs to grow forever.
