Jinx Skins

14 skins available

Jinx has one of the most stacked skin catalogs in League and I've been playing her since season 3. Fourteen skins deep now, ranging from her original Crime City release all the way to the Arcane Fractured drop in 2024. Not gonna lie, she's one of those champions where Riot clearly knows the playerbase will open their wallets. Most of her catalog hits. A few miss. Been running Jinx as my secondary ADC pick in Diamond for years and I've tried every single skin she has at this point, so heres the full breakdown.

How Jinx's Skin Collection Stacks Up

Fourteen skins spanning 2013 to 2024. That's over a decade of consistent releases, and Riot barely took any breaks with her. You've got two Standards in the older slots, nine Epics making up the bulk, one Legendary in Star Guardian, one Mythic with Prestige Battle Cat, and the Arcane Fractured Exalted skin sitting at the top. Pretty solid spread.

The early stuff like Crime City Jinx from 2013 shows its age. No way around it. Texture quality, model detail, particle work - all of it feels like a different era. Which it was. Could be wrong here but I think Crime City was literally her launch skin. The jump from that to something like PROJECT: Jinx or Cafe Cuties is massive.

What's interesting about Jinx's catalog is how well it reflects her personality. Chaotic, colorful, loud. Riot leans into that with almost every release. Firecracker Jinx has explosions everywhere. Zombie Slayer gives her a post-apocalyptic punk vibe. Star Guardian flips her whole aesthetic into magical girl territory and somehow it works. The thematic range is wider than most champions get.

(Random tangent: Jinx might be the most cosplayed champion at this point, and half those cosplays are Star Guardian. Says something about the design.)

Nine of fourteen skins sit at Epic tier, 1350 RP each. That's the sweet spot for most players. Enough VFX changes to feel different, new model, usually new recall animation. Legendary and above is where you get the voice lines and animation overhauls. Only Star Guardian Jinx lives there in the permanent shop. The Exalted and Mythic skins are special acquisition only.

Best Jinx Skins Worth Locking In

Star Guardian Jinx. Full stop. Been spamming this in Diamond since it dropped back in season 6 and it still holds up years later. New VO, completely reworked animations, Kuro and Shiro as her minigun and rocket launcher. The Q swap between Pow-Pow and Fishbones feels different with the familiars changing form. Her W shoots a star beam that reads cleaner than base in teamfights. Ult is a massive star that tracks across the map. 1820 RP and it earns every point of that price tag. The recall where she falls asleep on Kuro is still one of the best in the game. Played maybe 200 games with this skin across multiple seasons and I keep coming back.

Arcane Fractured Jinx sits at Exalted tier and it's the newest in the collection, 2024 release. This one pulls directly from the Netflix show and the detail level is absurd. Might be overthinking it but the animations feel smoother than even Star Guardian. The whole aesthetic is grittier, more grounded. Jinx looks like she walked straight out of the Arcane finale. Special acquisition only though, so you cant just grab it from the shop.

Firecracker Jinx. 1350 RP Epic that punches way above its weight. The Lunar Revel theme fits her perfectly because of course Jinx would be the one setting off fireworks. Her rockets are literal fireworks. The W sends out a firecracker trail. Playing this skin around Lunar New Year just hits different. Grabbed this one back in season 8 I think and it stayed in my rotation for two full years.

PROJECT: Jinx is the clean cyberpunk option. Solid Epic at 1350. The neon color scheme works well on the Rift and her abilities read clearly in lane. Not my personal favorite but I see why people lock it in. The minigun sounds crunchier with the PROJECT filter on it.

Zombie Slayer rounds out the top five. Post-apocalyptic Jinx with a crossbow-style Fishbones. Kinda feels like Riot watched too much Walking Dead before designing this one but it works. Good value Epic. The green zombie-themed particles on her E chompers are a nice touch, they look like little zombie traps instead of the standard snare.

Skinlines and Where Jinx Fits

Jinx appears across eight different skinlines and honestly she fits most of them naturally. Star Guardian is the standout. The whole "chaotic teammate who doesn't follow the rules" angle from Star Guardian season 1 was written for her personality. She's the rebel of the group. Perfect casting.

Crime City was her original thematic and it's fine for what it is. Gangster Jinx with Tommy guns. Makes sense thematically but the execution is dated. Snowdown Showdown gave us Ambitious Elf Jinx which is one of those holiday skins that's either your thing or it isnt. Heartbreakers line produced Heartseeker Jinx. Valentine's themed, pink and red VFX, cute but not remarkable.

The Odyssey line put Jinx in a space adventure setting. Good fit for her energy. PROJECT went full cyberpunk. Battle Cat is the anime mecha direction. Each one tries something different and most of them land because Jinx's personality is flexible enough to carry varied themes.

Real talk though, the skinlines where she shines brightest are the ones that lean into her chaos. Star Guardian works because she's the troublemaker. Firecracker works because explosions. Zombie Slayer works because she gets to shoot things. The more restrained themes like Heartseeker feel like they're fighting against her core identity. Not bad skins, just not where she's at her best. (Sidebar for ADC mains specifically: you know the skins that feel right in lane versus the ones that feel like costumes. Star Guardian and Firecracker feel right.)

Budget Picks vs Premium Options

If you're climbing ranked and want a Jinx skin without dropping serious RP, Firecracker at 1350 is the answer. Best value in her catalog. New model, full particle overhaul, great recall, solid sound design. Does everything an Epic should do and then some.

Zombie Slayer Jinx at the same 1350 price point is the runner-up budget pick. Different aesthetic, equally well-executed. Between those two you cover the "fun chaos" angle and the "gritty badass" angle. Both sit in the permanent shop.

On the premium end, Star Guardian at 1820 is the Legendary and it's worth the price if you main Jinx. New VO alone carries it. The Exalted Arcane Fractured skin is technically the highest tier but special acquisition means you cant just buy it outright. Prestige Battle Cat falls in the Mythic category, also special acquisition.

Not sure if it's just me but the gap between Jinx's best Epic and her Legendary isn't as massive as some other champions. Star Guardian is better, no question. But Firecracker at 530 RP less still delivers like 80% of the experience in terms of how satisfying the skin feels in my Diamond games. Fair warning: if you're only buying one Jinx skin ever, still go Star Guardian. The voice lines and animation quality put it in a different league. But two Jinx skins? Star Guardian plus Firecracker covers everything.

The two Standard tier skins at 975 RP are Crime City and one other older release. They show their age. Season 3 era models. Honestly skip those unless you're collecting every Jinx skin or you specifically love the crime aesthetic. The price difference between 975 and 1350 is small and the quality jump is enormous.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Jinx have?

Jinx has 14 skins total as of 2024. That includes her base skin count from Crime City all the way through Arcane Fractured. Pretty loaded catalog for a champion released in 2013. Riot clearly knows she sells well and keeps the releases coming. Two Standards, nine Epics, one Legendary, one Mythic, one Exalted.

What is the best Jinx skin?

Star Guardian Jinx. Not close. The Legendary treatment gave her new VO, reworked animations, and Kuro and Shiro as weapon familiars. Been running it in ranked for years and it still feels premium. Arcane Fractured is the only real competitor but its harder to get. For something you can buy right now, Star Guardian wins.

What is the cheapest Jinx skin?

Crime City Jinx at 975 RP is the cheapest option in her permanent shop lineup. Standard tier, so you're getting a model swap and texture changes but nothing fancy. Shows its age honestly. The 2013 quality is noticeable. If you can stretch to 1350 for Firecracker or Zombie Slayer, the value jump is massive.

Does Jinx have a Legendary skin?

Yeah. Star Guardian Jinx is her only Legendary at 1820 RP. Full package: new voice lines, unique animations, reworked ability VFX, and two familiars that transform with her Q. Dropped during Star Guardian season 1 and it still holds up against newer Legendaries. Worth every RP point if you play Jinx regularly in ranked.

What skinlines is Jinx in?

Jinx shows up in eight skinlines: Crime City, Lunar Revel Firecracker, Zombies VS Slayers, Star Guardian, Snowdown Showdown, Odyssey, PROJECT, and Heartbreakers. Plus the Battle Cat and Arcane lines. Star Guardian and Firecracker fit her best. The chaotic energy just matches. Some of the quieter themes like Heartseeker feel less natural on her.

Does Jinx have chromas?

Several of her Epic skins have chroma sets available. Battle Cat Jinx and Cafe Cuties Jinx both got chroma drops. The counts vary per skin but you're looking at 6-8 options on the ones that have them. Obsidian tends to be popular across the board. Check individual skin pages for the full chroma breakdowns per skin.

When was Jinx's last skin released?

Arcane Fractured Jinx in 2024. Exalted tier, special acquisition. Tied to the Arcane Netflix series and the quality reflects that Riot pulled out all the stops. Before that was the T1 esports skin and Cafe Cuties. She gets pretty consistent releases, rarely goes more than a year without something new dropping.

Is Jinx worth buying skins for?

Absolutely. Jinx's kit is visual by nature. Rockets, explosions, traps, a global ult. Skins that change those particles make a noticeable difference in how satisfying she feels to play. Even at Epic tier the VFX overhauls are solid. If you main her or even just play her once a week in ranked, one good skin is worth it. Start with Firecracker or Star Guardian.
