Worldbreaker Skins

All 9 skins in the Worldbreaker skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Worldbreaker skin in League of Legends.

Worldbreaker is one of those skinlines that flew under the radar for most players and I think thats a shame. The whole Mesoamerican and Aztec mythology angle gives it a look you dont really see anywhere else on the Rift. Stone textures, jade greens, deep golds, tribal masks - it reads like ancient gods waking up to smash towers. Been seeing these pop up in my ranked games since maybe season 7, and every time a Worldbreaker Nasus or Sion loads in, the splash alone sets a tone. Nine skins total across the line, mixing 750 RP standards with 1350 RP epics, and honestly the whole set punches above its price range.

What Sets the Worldbreaker Line Apart

Not gonna lie, the first thing that grabs you with Worldbreaker is the color palette. Deep jade, burnt gold, obsidian black, turquoise accents. Feels like someone raided an ancient temple and turned the artifacts into champion armor. The splash arts across the line share this consistent archaeological vibe - crumbling stone pillars, glowing runes, massive scale compositions where the champions look like they're about to level a civilization.

Compare it to something like Guardian of the Sands, which also pulls from ancient mythology but leans more Egyptian and sandy. Worldbreaker goes harder on the stone-and-jade aesthetic. More weight to it. The champions in this line look like they could bench press a ziggurat. Every model has these carved stone textures layered over the base, and the particle work on the Epics especially uses this green-gold energy that ties the whole roster together.

Could be wrong here but I think what makes it work is champion selection. Riot picked beefy frontliners and mages who already have that "ancient power" fantasy baked into their kits. Sion smashing things with a giant axe? Nasus stacking his way to godhood? Maokai being literally a tree older than most civilizations? These arent forced picks. They fit.

The skinline also has this subtle thing going where the VFX feel heavier than base. Abilities land with more visual weight. Played against a Worldbreaker Trundle last week in a Diamond 2 game and his pillar looked like it was summoned from some underground temple. Small detail but it changes how the ability reads in a teamfight. (Random aside: the Worldbreaker loading screen borders from that era were peak aesthetic and I miss them.)

One thing the line lacks compared to newer skinlines is a unifying narrative. Coven has its whole witch lore, Spirit Blossom has the Ionian spirit realm thing. Worldbreaker just kind of says "ancient gods, go smash." Works fine for the vibe but dont expect event-tier worldbuilding here.

Best Worldbreaker Skins Worth Your RP

Worldbreaker Sion. Full stop. This is the skin that carries the entire line on its back. The 1350 RP Epic tier treatment fits Sion perfectly because his kit is already about being an unstoppable ancient force. His ult charging down a lane in that jade and gold armor with the stone mask - been spamming this in Diamond since I picked it up. The Q channel animation with the crumbling earth VFX is chef's kiss. Might be overthinking it but I think Sion was designed with this skinline in mind, even if the timeline doesnt add up.

Worldbreaker Maokai comes in second for me. Another Epic at 1350 RP. The tree-to-stone-golem transformation works because Maokai already has that ancient nature spirit identity. His saplings look like little jade constructs running around, and the ult root wall has this satisfying stone-cracking visual. Locked in this skin for maybe 40 games when I was on a support Maokai kick around season 10 I think.

Spirit Fire Brand is interesting because the name doesnt even follow the "Worldbreaker" convention, but its part of the line. 1350 RP Epic. The fire-to-jade-flame recolor on all his abilities gives Brand a completely different read. His passive burn looks like spreading jade corruption instead of regular fire. Seen maybe 5 Brand players total using this skin in ranked this season though. Underrated pick.

Worldbreaker Malzahar rounds out the Epics. Solid execution. His Voidlings become these little stone creatures and the ult beam goes jade green. Not the flashiest Malzahar skin compared to something like Snow Day, but for mains who want that dark ancient mage feel its a clean choice. 1350 RP well spent if Malz is in your champion pool.

Sun Goddess Karma at 750 RP is the budget pick that honestly holds up. Standard tier, so you're getting model and texture changes without new particles, but the golden sun goddess aesthetic on Karma reads well. No new VO obviously. For 750 RP you get a distinct look that doesnt feel cheap. Real talk though, Karma has so many better skins now that Sun Goddess mostly lives as a nostalgia pick.

The Champion Roster and Who Belongs

Nine champions in the Worldbreaker line. Riot went heavy on tanks and bruisers here which makes sense for the "ancient destroyer" fantasy. Sion, Trundle, Maokai, Nautilus, Hecarim - these are your frontline gods of destruction. Then you've got Nasus and Brand for the magical ancient power angle. Karma and Malzahar round it out with more mage representation.

Nasus fits this line like a glove. Ancient dog god who gets stronger over time, stacking his Q into infinity? Thats literally the Worldbreaker fantasy. His 750 RP standard skin doesnt get the full VFX treatment but the model alone sells the concept. Been maining Nasus with this skin in top lane specifically when I want to tilt the enemy laner by just farming and scaling.

Nautilus and Hecarim were later additions. Nautilus works - big anchor-wielding deep sea titan recast as a stone colossus, sure. Hecarim feels slightly more forced to me. Could be coping but a spectral centaur covered in jade stone armor reads a bit busy. The ult is cool though, his riders become these stone warriors charging in. Played against one around 3 AM last Saturday and the engage out of fog of war genuinely made me jump.

Trundle is an underrated fit. His ice pillar becoming a stone obelisk, his domain creating cracked earth instead of frozen ground. The whole "troll king" thing maps cleanly onto "ancient troll deity." Kinda feels like Riot could have made him a centerpiece of the line if they'd given him the Epic treatment instead of standard.

Who should be added next? Honestly, Ornn feels like a crime that he's not in this line. Volcanic forge god who literally crafts items? Mesoamerican fire deity Ornn would print money. Illaoi is another obvious pick - she already worships a god and slams tentacles. Give her jade stone tentacles and a temple priestess model. Riot please. Also Mordekaiser. Ancient iron revenant recast as an obsidian death god? Take my RP.

Tier Breakdown and Pricing

The split here is pretty even. Five Standard tier skins at 750 RP and four Epics at 1350 RP. No Legendaries, no Mythics, no Ultimates. This is a mid-budget skinline and thats not a bad thing. Not every line needs a 1820 RP flagship to work.

Fair warning, the 750 RP standards show their age. Sun Goddess Karma, Worldbreaker Nasus, Worldbreaker Trundle - these are texture-and-model jobs from 2016-era Riot. No new particles, no new animations, voice stays default. You're paying for the aesthetic, not the feature set. For ranked players who care about visual clarity over flashiness, honestly thats fine.

The four Epics are where Worldbreaker earns its keep. Sion, Maokai, Brand, Malzahar all get the full 1350 RP treatment with new VFX, new recall animations, and model upgrades that actually feel worth the price. Price range across the whole line runs 750 to 1350 RP, which means you can skin up your entire Worldbreaker roster for less than two Legendary skins would cost. Not sure if it's just me but that feels like decent value for a themed collection.

The lack of a Legendary does hold the line back from competing with stuff like Coven or High Noon where the 1820 RP skins become the identity of the whole skinline. Worldbreaker doesnt have that one "this changes everything" skin. It has nine solid-to-good skins at reasonable prices. Different value proposition. (Sidebar for tank mains specifically: this line was basically made for you and the prices reflect that.)

Been playing League since season 4 and Worldbreaker pricing reminds me of how Riot used to approach skinlines before the 1350-minimum era kicked in around 2018. Half the line at 750 RP, half at 1350. Simple. No prestige variants, no event passes, no mythic essence gambling. Just skins in the shop. Miss that energy sometimes.

Worldbreaker Skins FAQ

How many Worldbreaker skins are there?

Nine skins total in the Worldbreaker line. Five sit at the Standard 750 RP tier and four are Epics at 1350 RP. The line started dropping skins back in 2016 and the last batch came through in 2020. Not a huge roster compared to something like Project or Star Guardian, but it covers the tanks and mages that actually fit the theme.

What is the best Worldbreaker skin?

Worldbreaker Sion and its not even close. The 1350 RP Epic treatment gives him new VFX, recall animation, and model work that makes his kit feel like an ancient god smashing through your team. Worldbreaker Maokai is the runner-up. Both are worth locking in for ranked if you play these champions regularly.

Which champions have Worldbreaker skins?

Sion, Nasus, Trundle, Maokai, Nautilus, Hecarim, Malzahar, and Karma all have Worldbreaker skins. Brand is also in the line under the name Spirit Fire Brand. Riot leaned heavy on tanks and frontliners here which fits the ancient destroyer vibe. Nine champions total across the roster.

Does Worldbreaker have Legendary skins?

No Legendaries in the Worldbreaker line. The highest tier is Epic at 1350 RP, with four skins at that price point. The other five are Standard at 750 RP. Kinda wish Riot would revisit the line with a proper 1820 RP Legendary for someone like Sion or Nasus, but nothing announced as of now.

When did the Worldbreaker skinline release?

The earliest Worldbreaker skins dropped around 2011 with some of the standard tier entries, and the line kept getting additions through 2020. Most of the Epic tier skins came in later batches. Riot hasnt added new Worldbreaker skins since 2020 so the line might be done, but you never know with Riot's rotation.

Are Worldbreaker skins worth buying?

The four Epics are solid value at 1350 RP each. Sion and Maokai especially deliver above their price. The 750 RP standards are harder to recommend in 2026 since they lack new VFX, but if you main one of those champions and dig the Mesoamerican aesthetic, 750 RP is cheap enough to not stress over. Worth it for tank mains.

Do Worldbreaker skins have chromas?

Some of the Worldbreaker Epics got chroma sets. The selection varies by skin though. If chromas matter to you, check the specific champion's skin page for counts and color options. The Standard tier skins at 750 RP generally dont have chromas since Riot typically reserves those for 1350 RP and above.

Will Riot make more Worldbreaker skins?

No official announcements as of early 2026. The last Worldbreaker skins came in 2020 and Riot has been focused on newer lines like Faerie Court and Heavenscale. Maybe just my experience but the Mesoamerican theme has a strong enough identity that bringing it back with modern VFX standards would be a hit. Ornn and Illaoi are sitting right there, Riot.
