Superfans Skins

All 4 skins in the Superfans skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Superfans skin in League of Legends.

Not gonna lie, when Riot dropped the Superfans line I wasnt sure what to expect. Four skins themed around fandom culture - esports, music, TFT's Choncc, cosplay. Sounds gimmicky on paper. But after locking these in across maybe 40 ranked games, the vibe is just genuinely fun. The whole set leans into this colorful, self-aware humor that Riot does well when they stop trying to be edgy. Think less cosmic threat to the universe, more "what if League champions were as obsessed with League as we are." Works better than it should.

What Sets the Superfans Line Apart

The visual identity here is loud. Not Arcade loud, but close. Each skin pulls from a different slice of fan culture, so there's no single shared color palette the way you get with something like Coven or Eclipse. Esports Fan Trundle is rocking team merch and foam fingers. Music Fan Gragas looks like he just stumbled out of a festival. Choncc Kench is literally wearing a Choncc costume. Cosplayer Neeko went full convention mode. The thread connecting them is attitude, not aesthetics.

Kinda feels like Riot took the Day Job concept and pushed it sideways into hobby territory. The splash arts all share this warm, slightly exaggerated style. Bright backgrounds, expressive poses, lots of small details you catch on the second look. Gragas has glow sticks. Trundle's pillar has team logos on it. That kind of thing.

VFX across the set stay grounded in each skin's theme. No cosmic particles or ancient magic here. You get confetti, stage lights, fan gear effects. The recall animations are where the personality really shines - each champion does something tied to their specific fandom. Played maybe 15 games on Choncc Kench last month and the recall still makes me smile. Small detail but the Choncc hat bouncing during the animation is peak Riot humor.

Could be wrong here but I think what makes Superfans work is the restraint. Four skins. One batch. All Epics at 1350 RP. No bloated lineup trying to cover every role. No Legendary tax. Just a tight concept executed cleanly. Compare that to some skinlines that launch with 8+ champions and half of them feel shoehorned in. Every champion here actually fits.

(Random aside: the loading screen borders for these skins go hard. Whoever designed those deserves a raise.)

Best Superfans Skins

Four skins total so ranking them feels a bit silly, but here goes.

Choncc Kench takes the top spot. Not close. The concept of Tahm Kench dressing up as TFT's mascot is so absurdly specific that it circles back around to brilliant. His devour animation with the Choncc costume stretching is genuinely funny. Been running this in Diamond and the number of all-chat reactions I get is wild. People notice this skin. Last Tuesday I had an enemy Jinx type "nice skin" before we even hit level 2.

Cosplayer Neeko comes second. Thematically perfect - Neeko's whole identity is about becoming other things, so a cosplay skin fits her kit better than almost any other concept Riot could have picked. The passive transformation with the cosplay twist is clean. Her Q particles got this crafty, handmade quality to them. Real talk though, the splash art carries hard here. One of the better Neeko splashes period.

Music Fan Gragas is third. Big guy at a music festival with body paint and glow sticks. The belly slam with concert VFX hits different at 2 AM when you're grinding ranked. His barrel has this speaker-stack look that I think reads well in teamfights. Not the most creative Gragas skin ever made but its fun and thats what this line is about.

Esports Fan Trundle rounds it out. Solid skin. Foam finger pillar is funny the first dozen times. The jersey and headband look works on Trundle's model surprisingly well. Might be overthinking it but something about a troll being an esports superfan is commentary Riot probably intended. Good skin, just doesn't pop as hard as the other three in actual gameplay.

The Champion Roster

Four champions. Trundle, Gragas, Tahm Kench, Neeko. All of them make sense for the concept, which is rare for a skinline launch. No "why is this champion here" picks.

Tahm Kench as the TFT superfan is the strongest thematic choice. Dude literally consumes things for a living, of course he's obsessed with Choncc. Neeko as the cosplayer writes itself given her shapeshifting passive. Gragas at a concert is the obvious party pick. Trundle repping esports fandom is the most unexpected but it works - there's something endearing about the troll king getting hyped about pro play.

Been maining Tahm Kench with this skin since it dropped in 2024 and I dont see myself switching back to Coin Emperor anytime soon. The personality is just too good. In ranked specifically the skin feels like it tilts opponents when you land a good devour. Could be confirmation bias but I swear my winrate went up.

Who should Riot add next? Not sure if it's just me but Bard as some kind of collectibles fan would be perfect. Silent weirdo who hoards chimes, give him a figure collection. Ziggs as a fireworks superfan at an event. Maybe Zac as a mascot performer. The concept has room to grow without feeling forced. Four is a clean start though.

Tier and Pricing Breakdown

Simple one here. All four skins are Epic tier at 1350 RP each. No Legendaries, no Mythics, no Prestige editions. Just four straight 1350 RP skins.

Honestly? Refreshing. You get new model, new VFX, new recall, new SFX on each. Standard Epic package but each one delivers above average for the price point. 1350 RP feels fair across the board. None of these are "should have been 975" skins. The VFX work alone justifies Epic pricing.

If you're only picking up one, Choncc Kench is the move. If you play two or more of these champions, the bundle was the play when it launched. Not sure if thats still available but check the shop. Season 14 skin pricing has been mostly consistent so no surprises here.

No Legendary in the set means no new voice lines on any of them. Voice stays default across all four. Fair enough for a humor line - the base VOs for Tahm Kench and Neeko already have enough personality that new lines arent strictly necessary. Gragas could've used some concert callouts but whatever. Standard voice, no new lines. The skins speak through visuals instead.

(Sidebar for TFT players: the Choncc Kench skin is basically a love letter to you specifically. Riot knows their audience.)

Fragment for emphasis. This is a budget-friendly skinline. 5400 RP for the complete set of four. Compare that to grabbing one Legendary elsewhere. Value proposition is strong if you play multiple tanks or supports in your ranked rotation.

Should You Pick Up Superfans Skins

Depends on what you want from your skins. If you're after epic fantasy or dark lore, skip this entirely. If you want something that makes you and your teammates smile in champ select, Superfans delivers. Played these across maybe 60 games total and the novelty hasnt worn off yet. That says something for a humor-themed line.

The line dropped in 2024 and all four are still sitting in the shop. Permanent availability. No vault rotation to worry about. Take your time deciding. Maybe wait for Your Shop if one of these champions shows up in your rotation data.

Real talk though - the League community sleeps on fun skins. Everyone wants the next Legendary with 20 minutes of new VO. Sometimes a well-executed 1350 skin that makes you laugh mid-teamfight is worth more than all the prestige editions in your collection. Superfans gets that. Four champions being absolute dorks about their hobbies. Thats the whole pitch and it works.

Superfans Skins FAQ

How many Superfans skins are there?

Four Superfans skins total as of 2024. Esports Fan Trundle, Music Fan Gragas, Choncc Kench, and Cosplayer Neeko. All dropped in the same patch. Tight roster, no filler picks. Riot kept it focused which I think was the right call for a humor concept like this. Could see them expanding it later but nothing confirmed.

What is the best Superfans skin?

Choncc Kench. Not even close in my opinion. The TFT crossover concept is genius, the devour animations are hilarious, and it gets reactions in game constantly. Been spamming it in Diamond and people always comment on it. Cosplayer Neeko is a solid second pick if you dont play Tahm Kench.

Which champions have Superfans skins?

Trundle, Gragas, Tahm Kench, and Neeko. Each one represents a different type of fan - esports, music, TFT, and cosplay respectively. All four fit the concept naturally. No weird picks that feel forced into the theme, which is honestly rare for Riot skinlines these days.

Does Superfans have Legendary skins?

No Legendary skins in the Superfans line. All four are Epic tier at 1350 RP each. That means new models, VFX, SFX, and recall animations but no new voice lines. Keeps the price accessible. I think the line works fine without a Legendary honestly - the humor comes through in the visuals.

When did the Superfans skinline release?

All four Superfans skins dropped in 2024. They launched together as a single batch during season 14. One of those mid-year releases that flew under the radar for a lot of players. If you missed the launch bundle you can still grab them individually from the shop.

Are Superfans skins worth buying?

If you play any of these four champions regularly then yeah, worth it. 1350 RP each is standard Epic pricing and each skin delivers solid value. Choncc Kench and Cosplayer Neeko are standouts. Music Fan Gragas and Esports Fan Trundle are good but not must-buys unless you main those champs specifically.

Do Superfans skins have chromas?

Check the shop for current chroma availability on each Superfans skin. Epic skins at this price point typically get chroma sets. The base versions already look great though. If chromas are available I'd say grab whichever color variant matches your vibe. No wrong choices with a humor line like this.

Will Riot make more Superfans skins?

Nothing confirmed but the concept has room to grow. Could see Bard as a collectibles fan, Ziggs at a fireworks show, maybe Zac as a mascot performer. The fandom theme is flexible enough to cover more champions without feeling forced. Depends on how well the first batch sold. Fingers crossed honestly.
