Immortal Journey Skins
All 20 skins in the Immortal Journey skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Immortal Journey skin in League of Legends.
Immortal Journey is one of those skinlines that flew under the radar for a lot of players and I think thats a mistake. The whole wuxia-inspired aesthetic, celestial warriors with flowing robes and divine weapons, it hits a specific fantasy that Riot doesnt really explore anywhere else. Been seeing these skins pop up in my Diamond games more since 2022 and for good reason. 20 skins deep now across some of the best melee and enchanter champions on the Rift. The line stretches from 2017 all the way to 2023 and honestly the quality has only gone up with each batch.

1 skinWhat Makes Immortal Journey Stand Out on the Rift
Not gonna lie, the first thing you notice about Immortal Journey is the color palette. Golds, deep blues, jade greens, and white silks. Every splash in this line looks like it belongs in a martial arts epic. The shared visual language is tight: celestial energy trails on abilities, ornate blade designs, flowing fabric physics on recalls. Compare that to something like the Arcana line which goes heavy on tarot symbolism or Blood Moon which leans horror. Immortal Journey occupies its own lane entirely.
The VFX signature across the line uses these jade and gold particle effects that read clean in teamfights without being distracting. Huge deal for ranked. I've played against Divine Sword Irelia maybe a hundred times at this point and her Q resets have this satisfying jade trail that actually helps me track her movement in lane. Weird thing to appreciate from the enemy perspective but there it is.
(Random aside: the Immortal Journey splash arts as a collection might be the best wallpaper rotation Riot has ever put out. I cycled through three of them on my desktop last summer.)
What ties the whole skinline together beyond visuals is the thematic commitment. These aren't just "champion but with a cool sword." Each skin leans into a specific martial arts archetype. The wandering swordsman, the divine monk, the celestial empress. Riot pulled from Chinese mythology and wuxia film tradition and it shows. Could be wrong here but I think this is the closest Riot gets to a coherent fantasy world within a skinline, maybe tied with Spirit Blossom for that honor.
The splash art quality is consistently high across the board. Even the earliest entries from 2017 hold up visually. The line has this premium feel that makes 1350 RP Epics punch above their weight class. Compare an average Immortal Journey Epic to an average Infernal Epic and its not even close.
Best Immortal Journey Skins Worth Locking In
God Fist Lee Sin. Full stop. This Legendary dropped and basically redefined what a Lee Sin skin could be. New VO, completely reworked animations, the golden fist VFX on his Q connect is one of the most satisfying things in the game. Been spamming Lee Sin in ranked since season 8 on and off and God Fist is still the skin I lock in for tryhard games. 1820 RP and it earns every point. The recall animation where he meditates mid-air with the celestial energy swirling around him? Clean.
Kinda feels like Immortal Journey Soraka doesn't get enough credit. Second Legendary in the line and she's a completely different vibe from base Soraka. The celestial healer fantasy is fully realized here. Her W heal has this jade lotus bloom effect that pops in bot lane specifically. My support duo ran this skin exclusively for like three months straight last year around October and the heal VFX actually made it easier to track cooldowns visually. Might be placebo but he swears by it.
Prestige Immortal Journey Sona is the crown jewel for Sona mains. Mythic tier. The white and gold color scheme with the ethereal instrument effects makes her abilities look premium. Hard to get now obviously since it's a Prestige skin but if you rolled it from Hextech you're sitting on something special.
Soaring Sword Fiora deserves a mention here. Epic tier, 1350 RP, but the animations feel like they could belong on a more expensive skin. Her lunge has this trailing blade effect that reads beautifully in duels. Top pick for Fiora mains who want something elegant without dropping Legendary money. Played against one last Tuesday in a ranked game and the vitals proc VFX looked genuinely crisp.
Valiant Sword Riven rounds out the top five for me. Another strong Epic that captures the wandering swordsman fantasy perfectly. The fact that she got two Prestige versions tells you how popular the base skin was. Riven one-tricks ate well with this line.
Champions in the Immortal Journey Roster
17 champions across 20 skins. Not sure if it's just me but the roster feels like Riot specifically targeted champions that fit the martial arts aesthetic naturally. Makes sense right? You're not gonna slap a celestial warrior skin on Kog'Maw.
Lee Sin and Jax are the obvious fits. Martial artists getting martial arts skins. God Fist Lee Sin and God Staff Jax both nail the divine warrior archetype. Jax with a celestial staff instead of a lamppost is peak thematic design. Irelia is another natural pick - Divine Sword Irelia with the floating blades recontextualized as celestial swords. Chef's kiss.
The enchanter picks surprised me when they first dropped. Soraka, Sona, Janna, Nami. But honestly they work. Sacred Sword Janna with the wind and blade motifs fits the line better than I expected. Splendid Staff Nami takes the aquatic mage into celestial waters and it reads well. The enchanters bring variety to what could have been an all-melee skinline.
Some of the newer additions feel slightly more forced. Immortal Journey Zeri from 2023 is fine but Zeri's gun-slinging kit doesnt scream wuxia warrior to me. Same with Zed honestly, though Immortal Journey Zed's shadow effects in the celestial style do look good in practice. Shyvana fits better than you'd expect because dragon mythology overlaps naturally with the Chinese fantasy elements.
Real talk though, the champion I want to see added most is Yasuo. How does the wind samurai not have an Immortal Journey skin yet? Yone too. Both feel like they were designed for this line. Maybe season 15 Riot will figure it out.
Tier Breakdown and What You're Paying
15 Epics at 1350 RP. 2 Legendaries at 1820 RP. 3 Mythic Prestige skins. No Standard tier skins at all which tells you something about where Riot positions this line. Premium floor.
The Epics do heavy lifting here. 15 out of 20 skins are 1350 RP and the average quality is high. You're getting new VFX, new recall animations, new SFX across the board. For a line where the cheapest skin is 1350 that's a solid value proposition. Compare to something like Mecha where you had some 975 RP entries that felt rushed.
The two Legendaries carry prestige for the whole line. God Fist Lee Sin set the standard when it dropped in 2017 and Immortal Journey Soraka matched it years later. Full new VO, completely reworked animations, unique interactions. 1820 RP feels fair for both.
(Sidebar for collectors: the three Mythic Prestige skins make this line expensive to complete. Prestige Sona and both Prestige Riven versions are limited availability. Good luck.)
Price range across the whole line runs 1350 to 1820 RP for purchasable skins. No budget options but no inflated prices either. Standard Riot pricing for a premium skinline. Fair warning, if you're trying to collect the whole set the Prestige skins will cost you in rerolls or Mythic Essence.
Frequently Asked Questions About Immortal Journey Skins
How many Immortal Journey skins are there?
20 skins total as of 2023. The line started back in 2017 with God Fist Lee Sin and has been growing steadily. Riot adds a batch every year or two so I'd expect more coming eventually. Not the biggest skinline but definitely one of the more consistent ones quality-wise. Every entry holds up.
What is the best Immortal Journey skin?
God Fist Lee Sin for me personally. Legendary tier with full new VO and animations that still feel premium years later. Immortal Journey Soraka is the other Legendary and competes for the top spot especially if you play support. For Epics, Soaring Sword Fiora and Divine Sword Irelia are both S-tier picks that punch above 1350 RP.
Which champions have Immortal Journey skins?
17 champions total. The big names include Lee Sin, Irelia, Fiora, Riven, Jax, Soraka, and Sona. Newer additions like Zeri, Zed, and Shyvana joined in 2022-2023. Mix of melee fighters and enchanters which gives the line good variety. Riven actually has three skins counting both Prestige versions.
Does Immortal Journey have Legendary skins?
Two Legendaries. God Fist Lee Sin at 1820 RP dropped in 2017 and Immortal Journey Soraka at 1820 RP came later. Both have full new voice lines, unique animations, and reworked ability VFX. They're the flagship skins of the whole line and honestly both worth Legendary price. No complaints from me on either.
When did the Immortal Journey skinline release?
First skin dropped in 2017 with God Fist Lee Sin. The line has been getting additions through 2023. Thats six years of releases which makes it one of Riot's longer-running thematic lines. Not annual like Star Guardian but consistent enough that mains of included champions keep getting options.
Are Immortal Journey skins worth buying?
Honestly yes, the floor quality is high. Every skin in the line is 1350 RP minimum and the VFX work is consistently above average for Epic tier. The Legendaries are both top-tier purchases for their champions. Could be wrong but I think this is one of the best value skinlines Riot has put out if you main any of the included champions. Skip if you dont play any of them though.
Do Immortal Journey skins have chromas?
Several of the Epic tier skins have chromas available. The newer releases from 2022-2023 especially came with chroma packs. Quality varies but the jade and crimson recolors tend to look clean on most champions. Legendaries dont have standard chromas but the Prestige skins function as premium color variants for Sona and Riven.
Will Riot make more Immortal Journey skins?
Pretty likely. The line has been getting regular additions since 2017 and the wuxia theme sells well in multiple regions. Maybe just my experience but I see more Immortal Journey skins in my games every season. Yasuo and Yone feel like obvious candidates for future releases. Would not be surprised to see another batch in 2025 or 2026.
