Lulu Skins

13 skins available

Lulu might be the most polarizing enchanter in League and I mean that as a compliment. Been supporting with her since season 3, back when polymorphing the enemy Zed mid-ult felt like a genuine exploit. Thirteen skins deep now and her catalog is weirdly consistent. Not every champion gets that luxury. Some have two great skins and ten throwaways. Lulu sits in this rare spot where most of her collection actually delivers, partly because Riot clearly enjoys designing for her kit. Pix alone gives them double the particle work to play with on every release.

How Lulu's Skin Collection Stacks Up

Thirteen skins spanning from 2012 to 2023. Thats over a decade of Riot giving this yordle attention, and honestly she deserves it. The breakdown leans heavy into Epic territory: ten Epics, two Standards, and one Mythic prestige. No Legendary. Kinda feels like Riot keeps almost giving her that Legendary bump but never pulls the trigger.

The two Standards are Bittersweet Lulu and Wicked Lulu, both from her 2012 launch window. They're 975 RP each and show their age. Not bad skins by any means but you can tell they came from an era where "new model and textures" was the whole pitch. No particle changes, no recall animation, just a different outfit on the same rig. Played maybe 30 games on Wicked back in season 4 before Dragon Trainer dropped and I never looked back.

The Epic lineup is where things get interesting. Dragon Trainer, Winter Wonder, Pool Party, Star Guardian, Cosmic Enchantress, Pajama Guardian, Space Groove, Monster Tamer, Cafe Cuties, and Arcana. All 1350 RP. All with new particles, recall animations, and model changes for both Lulu and Pix. That dual-model requirement means Epic Lulu skins consistently punch harder than Epics on single-model champions. Could be wrong here but I think Lulu might have the strongest average Epic quality of any enchanter in the game.

The Mythic slot goes to Prestige Space Groove Lulu. Special pricing, event-exclusive, the whole deal. Golden VFX layered over the Space Groove base. Seen maybe five of these in my ranked games across two full seasons. Rare pick but it looks clean when someone locks it in.

Best Skins for Lulu

Dragon Trainer Lulu. Full stop. Been running this one since it released and the reason is simple: Pix becomes a baby dragon. Not just a reskin, the whole fantasy shifts. Your Q sends out dragon fire, your E shield wraps in dragon scales, and the polymorph turns enemies into baby dragons instead of squirrels. The recall animation where Lulu feeds the dragon is still one of the best in the game for any champion at any tier. (Random aside: my duo partner who mains ADC says this skin tilts him less when I'm peeling because "the dragon feels like it's actually doing something." Placebo but I'll take it.)

Star Guardian Lulu hits different if you're into the skinline. Released with the original Star Guardian wave back in 2016 and Pix transforms into a star familiar that fits perfectly. The W polymorph turns enemies into a star cookie thing. Cute. The pink and purple VFX read well in teamfights which matters more than people think on an enchanter. When you're trying to shield your ADC in a 5v5 at dragon pit, you need to visually track your E. Star Guardian makes that easy.

Winter Wonder Lulu is the sleeper pick. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever. Pix becomes a snowflake fairy, Q throws snowballs, and the polymorph turns people into snowmen. Played this exclusively during the 2019 winter event and something about the snowball Q just feels satisfying. Might be overthinking it but the projectile speed looks slightly different even though I know its identical to base. The winter Rift synergy when that map rotates in is chef's kiss.

Pool Party Lulu rounds out my top picks. Summer vibes, Pix is a little fish, your ult creates a water geyser. Not the most complex skin but the color palette is bright and clean. Spammed this in Diamond during one summer split and it just fits the energy of a Lulu lane. You're here to make the enemy bot lane miserable and the pool noodle staff sells that energy.

Space Groove Lulu deserves mention too. The disco aesthetic works surprisingly well on a yordle. Groovy particles, funky recall, Pix becomes this little disco ball companion. Released in 2021 and the skin quality for that era shows. Riot's particle team was cooking that year.

Skinlines and Thematic Fit

Lulu shows up in eight distinct skinlines: Sugar Rush, Trick-or-Treat, Dragon World, Winter Wonder, Pool Party, Star Guardian Season 1, Cosmic, and Space Groove. Plus Arcana, Cafe Cuties, and Monster Tamer as their own things. Solid spread.

Not gonna lie, the thematic range here is wild. You've got cosmic space witch (Cosmic Enchantress), dragon handler (Dragon Trainer), literal candy (Sugar Rush through Bittersweet), and disco funk (Space Groove). Most champions get pigeonholed into "dark edgy" or "cute colorful" but Lulu floats between them. Her kit personality - playful, chaotic, whimsical - translates into basically any lighthearted skinline without feeling forced.

Star Guardian is probably the most natural fit. Lulu's entire base identity is a quirky magical girl with a fairy companion. The Star Guardian line literally is magical girls with companions. It's so obvious that it barely counts as creative but the execution is strong enough that I dont care. (Sidebar for enchanter mains specifically: Star Guardian Lulu into Star Guardian Jinx bot lane is the aesthetic peak of this game and I will not be taking questions.)

Dragon World through Dragon Trainer is the most creative departure. Taking Lulu from fairy magic to dragon taming required reimagining Pix entirely and it works. The Cosmic line gives her a more serious, ethereal vibe that contrasts with her usual goofiness. Cosmic Enchantress Lulu feels like a different champion sometimes, in a good way. The dark purples and cosmic VFX give weight to abilities that usually feel playful.

Weakest thematic fit is probably Monster Tamer. Released in 2022 and it kinda feels like Lulu got slotted in because she already had the pet mechanic with Pix. Not bad, just not inspired. The monster design for Pix doesn't hit as hard as the dragon or the star familiar.

Budget Picks vs Premium Options

Real talk though: Lulu's price range is tight. Everything is either 975 or 1350 RP. No 520 cheapies, no 1820 Legendaries. The two Standards at 975 are Bittersweet and Wicked. If you're on a budget, Wicked Lulu gives you a witch aesthetic that still holds up for a season 2 skin. Won't blow anyone's mind but it's clean.

For 1350 the value question becomes "which Epic" not "is Epic worth it." They all deliver. Dragon Trainer is my pick for best overall value because the Pix transformation alone makes it feel like a Legendary in disguise. Star Guardian if you want to match with your bot lane duo. Pool Party for summer ranked grinding. Space Groove if you want something more recent with 2021-era particle quality.

Prestige Space Groove sits in its own category. You either have it from the event or you're waiting for Mythic Essence rotation. Not something you budget for in the traditional sense. Good flex piece if you own it. Not worth stressing about if you missed it.

Best value per RP spent? Dragon Trainer, easily. 1350 RP for what genuinely feels like a tier above. Been daily driving it in ranked this season and last Tuesday around midnight I had an enemy Yasuo type "nice skin" in all chat after I polymorphed him during his ult. Respect.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Lulu have?

Lulu has 13 skins total as of 2023. Two Standards from her 2012 launch, ten Epics spread across 2013-2023, and one Mythic prestige from the Space Groove event. Pretty stacked catalog for an enchanter. Most supports dont get this much attention from Riot's skin team honestly.

What is the best Lulu skin?

Dragon Trainer Lulu. Not close. Pix becomes a baby dragon, every ability gets dragon-themed particles, and the recall animation is S-tier. Been my go-to Lulu skin for years and I've tried all thirteen. Star Guardian is second if you care about the skinline matching with your team.

What is the cheapest Lulu skin?

Bittersweet Lulu and Wicked Lulu both sit at 975 RP. They're her launch skins from 2012 so don't expect new particles or animations. Just model and texture swaps. Wicked is the better pick of the two if you're going budget. The witch hat alone makes it worth.

Does Lulu have a Legendary skin?

Nope. No Legendary for Lulu yet. Her highest tier is the Mythic Prestige Space Groove skin. Feels like an oversight honestly. Dragon Trainer already plays like a Legendary so maybe Riot figures they dont need to. Could be wrong but I think she'll get one eventually. Her kit supports it.

What skinlines is Lulu in?

Lulu appears in Sugar Rush, Trick-or-Treat, Dragon World, Winter Wonder, Pool Party, Star Guardian, Cosmic, Space Groove, Arcana, Cafe Cuties, and Monster Tamer lines. Big spread. Star Guardian and Dragon World fit her best thematically. Space Groove is the wildcard that works better than expected.

Does Lulu have chromas?

Several of her Epic skins have chroma sets. Space Groove Lulu, Cosmic Enchantress Lulu, and a few others got the chroma treatment. The counts vary by skin. If you're into chromas, Space Groove has solid options. I think the purple variant on that one reads cleaner than the base honestly.

When was Lulu's last skin released?

Cafe Cuties Lulu dropped in 2023, making it her most recent skin. Before that was Arcana Lulu. Riot's been pretty consistent with giving her a new skin every year or so. She's popular enough in the support role that they keep her in the rotation. Makes sense from a sales perspective.

Is Lulu worth buying skins for?

If you play her regularly in ranked, absolutely. Lulu's skins get extra mileage because Pix transforms in every Epic, so you're getting two model changes for the price of one. Dragon Trainer alone justifies the investment. Even if you only play her as a pocket pick for when your team needs peel, one good skin goes a long way.
