Lucian Skins
14 skins availableLucian is one of those champions where the skin catalog actually matters because you're staring at his animations constantly. Dual-wielding light pistols, dashing every few seconds, ulting down a lane. Every particle matters on this guy. Been maining him on and off since season 4 and I think his collection is one of the stronger ADC lineups in the game right now. 14 skins deep, ranging from his 2013 launch all the way to 2025, and honestly most of them land. Not all. But most.

3 skinsLucian's Skin Collection: 14 Deep and Growing
Lucian dropped in August 2013 with Hired Gun as his release skin. Standard tier, 750 RP back when that was the norm for launch skins. Pretty bare bones by today's standards but it had a certain mercenary vibe that worked. Striker came next for the Soccer Cup line, another budget option. The early years were quiet for him cosmetically.
Then Riot started cooking. PROJECT: Lucian hit in 2015 and that was the turning point. Suddenly he had a cyberpunk aesthetic with completely different particles on every ability. The Q laser looked like something out of Blade Runner. From there the catalog kept building: Heartseeker for the Valentine's event, Demacia Vice for the retro 80s crowd, Pulsefire with its Prestige edition.
Real talk though, the tier breakdown tells the story. Three Standards, eight Epics, one Legendary, two Mythics. That's a healthy spread. Not overloaded with cheap filler like some champions (looking at you, Annie). The one Legendary is High Noon and it carries that slot hard. Both Mythics are prestige-adjacent, Prestige Pulsefire and Sunken Shadows, so they're not exactly easy to grab.
Kinda feels like Riot has figured out Lucian's sweet spot is the 1350 RP Epic tier. Eight of his fourteen skins sit there or close to it. Makes sense. His kit is flashy enough that new particles and a model swap at Epic level already feel premium. You dont need a full VO rework to make Lucian feel fresh because his gameplay loop is so visually active. The dash, the passive double-shot, the Culling. All of it reads well with just VFX changes.
(Random aside: Lucian might have the best "feel" of any ADC when it comes to auto-attack cancels with skins. Some skins make the passive proc feel snappier. Could be placebo but I swear PROJECT autos register faster.)
The more recent additions like Arcana, Strike Paladin, Winterblessed, and Masked Justice in 2025 show Riot isnt slowing down on him. He gets consistent attention because he's always relevant in ranked and pro play. Good for us.
Best Lucian Skins: The Ones Worth Your RP
High Noon Lucian. Full stop. This Legendary at 1820 RP is the benchmark for every Lucian skin discussion and honestly its probably top 5 Legendary skins in the entire game. The fantasy is perfect: demon hunter in the Wild West, dual revolvers, fire and brimstone VFX on everything. His Q shoots a burning line that scorches the ground. W sends out a fiery cross. E dash leaves embers. And The Culling? Sounds like a Gatling gun from hell. New VO, new animations, the whole package. Been spamming this in Diamond since it dropped and I still havent gotten tired of it.
Not sure if it's just me but High Noon Lucian's auto attacks feel like they have more weight than any other skin. The sound design carries so hard. Every passive proc has this satisfying double-crack of revolvers that makes csing genuinely more fun. Season 11 I played maybe 300 ranked games with this skin exclusively.
PROJECT: Lucian takes second place for me. The cybernetic overlay, the blue-white particle swap on Q and R, the way his dash leaves a digital trail. At 1350 RP its a steal. Came out in 2015 but the VFX still hold up surprisingly well. The recall animation where he assembles his weapons is clean. Only knock is the sound effects feel slightly thinner than High Noon but thats comparing against one of the best skins in the game so not exactly fair.
Prestige Pulsefire Lucian is the flex pick. Mythic tier, golden accents over the Pulsefire base, and you either have it or you dont. Could be wrong here but I think this is one of the better-looking Prestige skins Riot has done. The gold particles on R look absurd in teamfights. Problem is availability. If you missed the event or dont have the Mythic Essence, regular Pulsefire at 1350 is still solid.
Heartseeker Lucian surprised me. Valentine's theme sounds goofy for a gunslinger ADC. But the pink and red particles on his abilities actually pop hard on the Rift. The heart-shaped W mark is hilarious in lane. Locked this in for a whole February once and my duo kept complaining about the recall animation. Worth it.
Arcana Lucian deserves a mention too. The tarot card aesthetic translates well to his kit. E dash has these golden card fragments trailing behind. The splash is gorgeous. Might be my third favorite after High Noon and PROJECT if I'm being honest.
Skinlines and Thematic Fit
Lucian appears across eight skinlines: Legacy, Soccer Cup, PROJECT, Heartbreakers, High Noon, Demacia Vice, Pulsefire, and Victorious. Thats a lot of variety for one champion. Some fit better than others.
High Noon is the obvious best fit. Lucian's entire kit revolves around guns and Riot leaned into the Western gunslinger fantasy perfectly. The demon hunter angle adds stakes to his lore tie with Thresh. (Sidebar: the High Noon universe is lowkey one of Riot's best alternate universes and Lucian being the protagonist of it makes perfect sense.)
PROJECT works because the cyberpunk mercenary angle matches his aggressive, mobile playstyle. Dual energy pistols, enhanced movement, the tech-noir color palette. It clicks. Demacia Vice is pure style over substance and I respect that. The neon 80s cop look is fun even if it doesn't match his base lore at all. Sometimes you just want to look cool while climbing ranked.
Pulsefire is fine. Good skin, fits the time-traveler tech fantasy, but it doesn't capture Lucian's personality the way High Noon does. Feels more generic. The Prestige version elevates it significantly though.
Victorious Lucian was the season 10 ranked reward. Fair warning, if you didnt hit Gold that season its gone forever. Decent skin with blue and gold VFX but nothing that competes with his paid options. More of a trophy than a daily driver.
Winterblessed and Masked Justice are the newer entries. Both Epic tier, both solid. Winterblessed gives him ice-themed abilities which is a cool contrast to his usual fire/light motifs. Masked Justice from 2025 is the freshest addition. The superhero angle is a departure but Riot made it work.
Budget vs Premium: Where to Spend on Lucian
Okay the real question for most people. If you're a Lucian main and you can only buy one skin, get High Noon. Period. 1820 RP is steep but this is one of those Legendaries that genuinely earns its price tag. New VO, new animations, completely different feel in game. Worth every point.
If 1820 is too much or you want variety without breaking the bank, PROJECT at 1350 is the answer. Maybe the best value Lucian skin. Came out in 2015 but competes with skins released years later. The VFX aged really well.
For absolute budget, Hired Gun at 750 RP does the job. Model swap, slight color change, military contractor vibe. No new particles but the model is different enough to feel fresh. Not gonna lie, I still use it occasionally when I want the clean vanilla Lucian experience without distractions.
Striker Lucian is the other budget option but its a soccer skin so unless you're specifically into that theme I'd skip it. The ball-themed recall is cute for about two games.
The Mythic skins, Prestige Pulsefire and Sunken Shadows, arent really "budget vs premium" decisions because you cant just buy them outright. They're prestige or loot exclusives. If you happen to have the Mythic Essence or get lucky with Hextech crafting, Prestige Pulsefire is genuinely one of the better prestige skins in the game. Sunken Shadows dropped in 2025 and has that deep ocean aesthetic that hits different on Lucian.
Could be coping but I think Lucian's cheapest skins are better value than most champions' cheap skins. His kit is so animation-heavy that even a model swap without new VFX still changes how the champion reads on screen. The passive double-shot alone makes every skin feel more distinct than it would on, say, a mage who just stands still and casts.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many skins does Lucian have?
14 skins total as of 2025. Three Standards, eight Epics, one Legendary (High Noon), and two Mythics. Solid lineup for an ADC. His catalog stretches from 2013 to 2025 so there's been consistent releases over the years. Not the biggest roster but quality over quantity applies here.
What is the best Lucian skin?
High Noon Lucian. Not even close. The Legendary treatment gave him new VO, Western gunslinger animations, and fire VFX on every ability. Been running this for years in ranked and it still feels premium. PROJECT is the runner-up if you want something cheaper at 1350 RP.
What is the cheapest Lucian skin?
Hired Gun Lucian at 750 RP. Its his release skin from 2013. Model swap with a military contractor look but no new particles or sounds. Honestly still decent for the price. Striker Lucian is the other budget option in the Soccer Cup line if that theme appeals to you.
Does Lucian have a Legendary skin?
Yes, one. High Noon Lucian at 1820 RP. Full package deal: new voice lines, unique animations, completely reworked VFX and SFX. The Western demon hunter fantasy fits him perfectly. Played hundreds of games with it. I think its one of the best Legendaries Riot has made for any ADC.
What skinlines is Lucian in?
Eight skinlines: Legacy, Soccer Cup, PROJECT, Heartbreakers, High Noon, Demacia Vice, Pulsefire, and Victorious. Plus Arcana, Strike Paladin, Winterblessed, and Masked Justice from more recent years. High Noon and PROJECT fit him best in my experience. Demacia Vice is pure vibes though.
Does Lucian have chromas?
Several of his Epic skins have chromas available. Heartseeker, Arcana, and some of the newer releases like Strike Paladin and Winterblessed all got chroma sets. The Prestige Pulsefire is basically a fancy chroma of the base Pulsefire if you think about it. Worth checking the shop for current options.
When was Lucian's last skin released?
Masked Justice Lucian and Sunken Shadows Lucian both dropped in 2025. Two skins in one year is solid treatment from Riot. Masked Justice is the superhero-themed Epic, Sunken Shadows is a Mythic with that deep ocean vibe. He's clearly still in Riot's regular skin rotation.
Is Lucian worth buying skins for?
Absolutely. Maybe more than most ADCs honestly. His kit is so animation-heavy with the passive double-shots, constant dashing, and The Culling that skins feel impactful on him. You notice the VFX changes every few seconds. If you play him regularly in ranked, High Noon alone justifies spending RP on this champion.
