Kled Skins

4 skins available

Kled is one of those champions where the skin catalog tells you exactly how much Riot cares about him. Spoiler: not a lot. Four skins total since his 2016 release and zero Legendaries. No Ultimate. No Prestige. Just one Standard and three Epics sitting in the shop. Honestly not gonna lie, for a champion with this much personality baked into his base kit, the cosmetic neglect stings. But here's the thing - what he does have ranges from genuinely creative to surprisingly solid. Been maining Kled on and off since season 7 and I've owned every skin at some point, so let me break down what's actually worth your RP.

How Kled's Skin Collection Stacks Up

Four skins across seven years. Let that sink in. Kled launched in August 2016 and his most recent skin dropped in 2023. Thats roughly one skin every two years if you're being generous with the math. Compare that to champions like Lux or Ezreal who get a new skin every time someone at Riot sneezes, and you start to understand the frustration Kled mains live with daily.

The breakdown is straightforward. Sir Kled came out as his launch skin at 975 RP, Standard tier. Then Count Kledula in 2018, Marauder Kled in 2021, and Kibble-Head Kled closing things out in 2023. All three post-launch skins are Epic at 1350 RP. No variety in pricing whatsoever.

Real talk though, the quality curve is interesting. Sir Kled feels like a product of 2016 skin design - decent model changes but nothing that makes you rethink the champion. Count Kledula was the first time Riot showed they could do something genuinely funny with Kled's dismount mechanic. And then Marauder went dark and edgy which, could be wrong here but, I think works better than it should for a yordle riding a cowardly lizard.

The gap between 2021 and 2023 felt eternal. Two full seasons of nothing. Played ranked through all of season 12 with the same three skins rotating and it got old fast. When Kibble-Head finally showed up it was like Riot remembered Kled existed. Better late than never I guess.

Best Kled Skins Worth Your RP

Count Kledula sits at the top for me. Full stop. The Halloween theme transforms Skaarl into this vampire bat creature and Kled himself looks like a discount Dracula who'd yell at kids on his lawn. Which is basically canon Kled energy anyway. The Q - Bear Trap on a Rope - gets this cobweb particle effect that reads cleanly in lane. W auto attacks have a satisfying crunch to them visually. The recall animation where Kled tries to stake Skaarl is peak comedy.

(Random aside: I used this skin exclusively during the 2018 Harrowing event and my duo partner refused to play with me because the recall sound annoyed him. Worth it.)

Might be overthinking it but the dismount on Count Kledula hits different compared to other skins. Something about tiny vampire Kled running around without his mount just looks funnier. The courage bar refill feels more satisfying when you remount as a bat-riding lunatic. Played maybe 150 games on this skin through Diamond last season and never got tired of it.

Marauder Kled is the serious pick. Dark armor, red accents, Skaarl looking like an actual war beast instead of a dopey lizard. The Marauder skinline generally goes for that conquered-kingdoms aesthetic and it translates well here. Q particles are darker, E charge feels weightier somehow even though its the same hitbox. If you want your opponents to take you seriously in lane - and let's be honest, nobody takes Kled seriously until he's diving them under tower at level 3 - this is the skin.

Kibble-Head Kled from the Cats Versus Dogs line is the newest and arguably the most creative. Skaarl in a dog costume. Kled wearing what looks like a cat outfit. The whole thing is absurd in exactly the way Kled should be. E charge has these paw print trails. Not sure if it's just me but the W attack speed steroid feels snappier on this skin, probably placebo. The splash art alone justifies the 1350 RP.

Sir Kled rounds out the roster at 975 RP. Medieval theme, jousting lance, Skaarl in horse armor. Simple concept executed cleanly. No new particles or sounds, base voice lines, just a model swap. For a Standard skin from 2016 it holds up okay. Nothing spectacular but nothing embarrassing either.

Skinlines and Thematic Fit

Kled spans four skinlines and honestly the variety is better than you'd expect from just four skins. Medieval with Sir Kled, Trick-or-Treat with Count Kledula, Marauder with the dark warrior fantasy, and Cats Versus Dogs with Kibble-Head. Each one pulls Kled in a completely different direction.

The Trick-or-Treat line fits Kled's personality the best. He's already unhinged in his base form - screaming about property rights and threatening everyone on the Rift. Putting him in a vampire costume doesn't change who he is, it just gives him a holiday excuse. The Marauder line is the opposite approach, trying to make him intimidating, and kinda feels like it works specifically because the contrast between serious armor and Kled's insane voice lines creates this tension that's genuinely funny.

Cats Versus Dogs is the newest skinline he's in and it's pure fan service for the "Kled is comedy" crowd. Fair warning, if you're the type who wants your top laner to look threatening in loading screen, Kibble-Head aint it. But if you've been one-tricking Kled through Gold and Diamond alike and you want something that matches his chaotic energy, the pet costume gimmick delivers.

Medieval is the weakest thematic fit. Sir Kled as a knight makes sense on paper but the execution feels generic. Season 6 skin design didn't have the budget or creativity that later skins got. It's fine. Just fine. (Sidebar for Kled mains specifically: you already know Sir Kled is the "I own everything" completionist purchase, not the "I actually use this" purchase.)

Budget vs Premium - What's Worth It

Here's where Kled's tiny catalog actually works in your favor. The price range is 975 to 1350. That's it. No 1820 Legendary eating your wallet, no 3250 Ultimate making you question your life choices. Every skin is accessible.

Sir Kled at 975 RP is the budget option. Voice stays default. No new particles. No new animations beyond the model. It does the job if you just want something different from base Kled without spending much. Been running this in ARAM when I dont feel like committing to a ranked session and it's perfectly serviceable.

The three Epics at 1350 each all deliver solid value. New models, new particles on abilities, themed recall animations. If I had to pick one and only one, Count Kledula gets my money every time. But Marauder is the pick if you want the "clean competitive" look, and Kibble-Head is for when you're feeling unhinged at 2 AM on a Tuesday.

Best value overall? Count Kledula. 1350 RP, most personality per gold spent, holds up across hundreds of games without getting stale. The Halloween theme is evergreen enough that it doesn't feel weird using it in March. Hard to argue against 1350 for what you get.

Kinda feels like Riot could print money by giving Kled a Legendary with new Skaarl voice lines and dismount animations. The fact they haven't done it by 2023 tells you everything about where he sits on their priority list. Maybe one day. Not holding my breath.

For climbing ranked specifically, skin choice doesn't matter mechanically but there's something to be said for the mental edge. Locking in Marauder Kled signals "I know what I'm doing" to your team in champ select. Locking in Kibble-Head signals "I'm either a smurf or I'm about to int." Both have their uses depending on the comp and your mental state that day. Played a stretch of games last split where I'd swap between Marauder for early morning sessions and Count Kledula for late night ranked. No real reason. Just vibes.

The complete Kled collection runs you 975 + 1350 + 1350 + 1350 = 5025 RP. Under $40 if you buy the right RP bundle. For a full champion skin collection thats actually reasonable. Try doing that with Lux or Miss Fortune and your wallet catches fire. Small catalog, small price tag, every skin at least decent. Could be worse.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Kled have?

Kled has 4 skins total. One Standard tier (Sir Kled at 975 RP) and three Epics (Count Kledula, Marauder Kled, Kibble-Head Kled, all 1350 RP). Small roster but the quality is solid across the board. Been wanting a fifth skin since like season 13 but Riot keeps ignoring him.

What is the best Kled skin?

Count Kledula. Hands down. The vampire bat Skaarl transformation, the Halloween particles on Q and E, the recall animation - everything clicks. Spammed this through Diamond for two seasons and it never got old. Marauder is the runner-up if you want something more serious looking in ranked.

What is the cheapest Kled skin?

Sir Kled at 975 RP. Standard tier, Medieval theme, no new particles or voice lines. Just a model change with knight armor and jousting lance for Kled plus horse armor on Skaarl. Decent for the price. Not amazing. Gets the job done if you're on a budget and want something besides base.

Does Kled have a Legendary skin?

Nope. No Legendary, no Ultimate, no Prestige, no Mythic. Kled's highest tier is Epic at 1350 RP. Honestly feels like a missed opportunity. A Legendary with new Skaarl interactions and dismount voice lines would be incredible. Maybe someday. The community has been asking for years.

What skinlines is Kled in?

Four skinlines: Medieval (Sir Kled), Trick-or-Treat (Count Kledula), Marauder (Marauder Kled), and Cats Versus Dogs (Kibble-Head Kled). Good variety for just four skins. Trick-or-Treat fits his personality best, Marauder goes for the edgy warrior vibe. Both work surprisingly well.

Does Kled have chromas?

Some of his Epic skins have chromas available. Check the individual skin pages for exact counts and color options. The chroma selection adds decent variety when you only have four skins to rotate through. I think Marauder's chromas hit the hardest personally, the color swaps on the armor look clean.

When was Kled's last skin released?

Kibble-Head Kled dropped in 2023 as part of the Cats Versus Dogs event. Before that, Marauder Kled came out in 2021. Two year gaps between skins is pretty standard for Kled unfortunately. He's not exactly on Riot's priority list for cosmetics. Hoping 2024 or 2025 brings something new.

Is Kled worth buying skins for?

If you main him, absolutely. Count Kledula alone justifies investing in Kled cosmetics. The champion's personality carries every skin hard - his voice lines make even Sir Kled entertaining. Full collection is under 5100 RP total which is nothing compared to most champions. Grab Count Kledula first, expand from there.
