Neeko Skins

9 skins available

Neeko is one of those champions where the skin catalog just works. Nine skins since her release in 2018 and honestly I think Riot understood the assignment with most of them. She's got this playful, colorful identity that translates well into cosmetics, and the variety here is solid for a champ thats only been around since late season 8. Been playing Neeko on and off since her launch, mostly mid but sometimes support when I'm feeling lazy in Diamond, and I've tried every single skin she has at this point. Some are clear winners. Some are fine. Let me break it down.

How Neeko's Skin Collection Shaped Up

Nine skins from 2018 to 2024. For a champion who dropped during the Worlds patch cycle in December 2018, that's a respectable pace. Not Lux or Ezreal numbers obviously, but Neeko hasn't gone through any drought either. Riot kept her fed with consistent releases.

The tier split is interesting. Seven Epics and two Mythics. No Legendary. No base-tier 520 or 750 RP budget options. Every purchasable Neeko skin sits at 1350 RP, which means you're paying the same price regardless of which one you pick. Could be wrong here but I think that actually makes the choice harder, not easier. When everything costs the same you really gotta compare what each skin brings to the table.

Winter Wonder came first, literally a month after her champion release. Then Star Guardian in 2019, which felt like a perfect fit. Shan Hai Scrolls dropped in 2021. Bewitching in 2022. Street Demons and Beeko came later. Cosplayer Neeko rounds it out as the newest addition in 2024. The two Prestige Star Guardian versions are the Mythic-tier options, one from the original run and the 2022 rerelease.

What stands out to me is Riot never tried to make Neeko edgy or dark. Every skinline they put her in leans into her bubbly, curious personality. Star Guardian, Bewitching, Bees. Makes sense for the character. (Random thought but I kinda want to see a Crime City Nightmare Neeko just to watch the world burn.)

The collection grew steadily across six years. No year had more than two releases. Consistent drip. Mains never had to wait too long for something new, which is more than I can say for some champions who go three years without seeing a skin.

Best Neeko Skins You Should Actually Care About

Star Guardian Neeko. Full stop. This is the one. Released 2019 as part of the Star Guardian Season 3 lineup and it just clicks with everything about her kit. The Q blooming effect gets this magical starburst treatment that looks incredible in teamfights. W clone has subtle sparkle differences that can actually fool people harder in ranked because the particles blend with the Star Guardian theme. Her E root trail turns into this pink-gold ribbon. Gorgeous.

Not gonna lie, I spammed this skin for two straight seasons in Diamond. The R transformation feels massive with the Star Guardian VFX. Slamming into a five-man engage with that ult and watching the star explosion is peak League. Voice lines stay base but honestly Neeko's default VO is charming enough that it doesnt matter.

Prestige Star Guardian Neeko takes the same foundation and golds it up. The Mythic version is harder to get obviously since its a special acquisition, but if you already love the base Star Guardian the Prestige variant adds that premium shine. The 2022 rerelease gave people a second shot at it. Both Prestige versions look clean in-game though the differences between the original and 2022 edition are minor enough that owning either one is fine.

Winter Wonder Neeko holds a special place for me. Her first skin ever. Dropped December 2018 right alongside the champion launch. The frozen theme works surprisingly well with her kit. Q becomes a snowball that shatters, E is an icy root that reads clearly against the Rift. Not sure if it's just me but something about using this skin during actual winter months in ranked just hits different. Played maybe 40 games with it last December around midnight sessions and the vibes were immaculate.

Shan Hai Scrolls Neeko from 2021 is the sleeper pick. The ink-painting aesthetic gives her abilities this watercolor splash effect. Q blooms look like paint drops spreading on paper. Really unique visual identity compared to her other skins. Might be overthinking it but I think this one ages the best visually because the art style is so distinct.

Beeko. Yeah. The Bees skinline one. Adorable. Absolutely adorable. Neeko in a bee costume throwing honey-themed abilities. The recall animation alone is worth the 1350 RP. Not the most competitive-feeling skin but if you're a Neeko one-trick who wants to tilt the enemy team with cuteness, this is your weapon.

Skinlines and Where Neeko Fits

Seven different skinlines across nine skins. That's wild diversity for a champion with under ten cosmetics. Star Guardian is the flagship. Two skins plus two Prestige variants all live in that universe and it makes sense. Neeko's personality, the curiosity, the shape-shifting, the wanting to belong. Star Guardian was built for her.

Bewitching is another natural fit. Halloween-themed Neeko with spooky cute energy. The Bewitching line tends to work best on champions who already have a playful vibe and Neeko qualifies easily. Released 2022, solid addition.

Shan Hai Scrolls is where Riot took a creative risk and it paid off. The Chinese mythology inspired line isnt as popular as Star Guardian or PROJECT but the artistic direction is beautiful. Neeko's chameleon nature translating into a mythological shapeshifter from scroll paintings. Thematic gold.

Street Demons feels more experimental. Edgier than her usual fare. Kinda feels like Riot wanted to show she could work outside the cute-only box. The result is fine, not my favorite, but I respect the attempt. (Sidebar for Neeko mains specifically: the Street Demons splash goes harder than the in-game model, dont get your hopes too high from the loading screen.)

Winter Wonder and Superfans round things out. Winter Wonder is seasonal comfort food. The Superfans line with Cosplayer Neeko in 2024 leans into her literal identity as a shapeshifter who copies others. Meta pick for the character fantasy. Real talk though, I think Riot could explore darker skinlines with her eventually. Coven Neeko? Would be interesting.

Budget vs Premium: What Makes Sense for Neeko

Here's the thing with Neeko's catalog. There is no budget option. Every skin is either 1350 RP Epic or a Mythic-tier special acquisition. You're spending the same money whether you pick Winter Wonder or Beeko or Star Guardian. No 520 recolor, no 750 model swap, no 975 middle ground.

So the "budget" question becomes which 1350 skin gives you the most value. My answer is Star Guardian Neeko. Best VFX work, strongest thematic fit, and the particles actually help with gameplay readability in my experience. Been daily driving it in ranked since season 10 I think and nothing else has dethroned it.

If you want variety without dropping 1350 on every skin, wait for Your Shop rotations or sales. Neeko skins show up in My Shop fairly often from what I've seen. Grabbed Shan Hai Scrolls at 60% off last spring and felt great about it. For mains who want premium, the Prestige Star Guardian versions are the flex picks but you cant just buy those with RP. Need Mythic Essence or event tokens depending on timing.

Honest take: if you only buy one Neeko skin ever, Star Guardian. If you buy two, add Winter Wonder for seasonal rotation. Three? Shan Hai Scrolls or Beeko depending on whether you want artistic or funny. Nine skins total means you have options but 1350 each means you're investing if you want the full collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Neeko have?

Neeko has 9 skins total as of 2024. Seven Epic tier at 1350 RP each and two Mythic Prestige versions. Pretty solid catalog for a champion released in late 2018. Been growing at a steady pace, roughly one or two skins per year since launch. No Legendary yet which surprises me honestly.

What is the best Neeko skin?

Star Guardian Neeko. Not even close in my opinion. The VFX on Q and R are beautiful, the thematic fit is perfect for her personality, and it just feels right in ranked games. Spammed it for multiple seasons in Diamond. Prestige Star Guardian is the luxury upgrade if you can get it.

What is the cheapest Neeko skin?

Every purchasable Neeko skin costs 1350 RP. There's no budget option at 520 or 750 RP. All seven Epic skins sit at the same price point. Best bet for saving money is waiting for a Your Shop discount or a regular sale rotation. Grabbed one at 60% off once, felt great about it.

Does Neeko have a Legendary skin?

Nope. No Legendary for Neeko yet. Her highest tier skins are the two Mythic Prestige Star Guardian variants. Kinda wild that a champion with such expressive gameplay doesnt have a Legendary with new voice lines and animations. Feels like it's only a matter of time though. Star Guardian Legendary Neeko would print money.

What skinlines is Neeko in?

Seven skinlines total: Star Guardian, Winter Wonder, Shan Hai Scrolls, Bewitching, Street Demons, Bees, and Superfans. Huge variety for nine skins. Star Guardian is the standout line for her. Think Riot understood early on that Neeko works best in colorful playful themes rather than dark edgy ones.

Does Neeko have chromas?

Several of her Epic skins have chroma sets available. Star Guardian and Winter Wonder both got chromas. If you want color variety beyond the base skin palette there's options. I usually stick with default chroma on Star Guardian since the pink-gold combo already looks perfect but the Ruby variant goes hard too.

When was Neeko's last skin released?

Cosplayer Neeko dropped in 2024 as part of the Superfans skinline. The concept of Neeko literally cosplaying fits her shapeshifter identity perfectly. Good skin. Before that was Beeko and Street Demons Neeko. Riot's been keeping a steady release schedule for her, no major droughts so far.

Is Neeko worth buying skins for?

If you play her regularly, absolutely. Her kit is visual and flashy so skins actually make a noticeable difference. The R engage, Q blooms, E root trail all change meaningfully across skins. Even one skin upgrades the experience significantly. Worth it for mains, maybe grab one on sale if you're a casual Neeko player.
