Ahri Skins

20 skins available

Ahri has twenty skins and I've probably used fifteen of them across six seasons of ranked. Not all of them deserve your attention. Some are genuinely top-tier League cosmetics, some are forgettable recolors from 2012, and a couple sit in that weird middle ground where you lock them in once for the novelty and then go back to your main pick. Been maining Ahri on and off since season 4, hit Diamond with her twice, and I have opinions about every single skin in this catalog. Strong ones.

How Ahri's Skin Collection Grew Over the Years

Dynasty Ahri dropped back in 2011 when the champion first launched. Simple skin. Korean dynasty aesthetic, traditional outfit, not much else going on. Honestly its fine for what it is, but you can tell Riot hadn't figured out their skin pipeline yet. The early skins from that era all feel like texture swaps with a theme slapped on top, and Ahri's first batch is no exception.

Midnight Ahri and Foxfire came shortly after. Foxfire was the first one that actually felt different in-game. The orange fire effects on her orb and abilities gave her a completely distinct read on the Rift. Still hold that Foxfire punches way above its weight class for a 750 RP skin.

Then things got interesting around 2014-2015 with Popstar Ahri. That skin basically predicted the entire K/DA universe years before it happened. Riot saw the idol fantasy worked on Ahri specifically and ran with it. Challenger Ahri came as the ranked reward variant, Academy put her in the school setting. None of these were bad but none were exceptional either.

The real inflection point was Star Guardian in 2017. Legendary tier. New voice lines, completely reworked animations, the whole package. That skin single-handedly proved Ahri could carry premium content. After that Riot basically treated her as a flagship champion for new skinlines. K/DA, Spirit Blossom, Coven, Arcana, Snow Moon. She gets into everything.

Twenty skins total now. Six Standard tier, seven Epic, three Legendary, three Mythic, and one Transcendent. Could be wrong here but I think only Lux and Ezreal have more. The tier breakdown is honestly impressive because the quality ratio skews heavily toward the upper end. Most champions with 15+ skins have a lot of filler. Ahri's catalog has maybe four or five skins I'd call skippable. Rest are solid to excellent.

Best Ahri Skins You Should Actually Care About

Risen Legend Ahri sits at the top and its not particularly close. Transcendent tier, special pricing, the whole nine yards. The model is completely rebuilt from scratch. Every ability has unique VFX that feel like they belong in a different game entirely. Her Q orb has this layered particle effect where you can see individual energy strands separating on the return. The W foxfires orbit with actual weight to them. Real talk though, the recall animation on this one is probably the best in the entire game. Played maybe 30 ranked games with it last split and the enemy team commented on it twice in all chat.

Star Guardian Ahri holds up remarkably well for a 2017 Legendary. 1820 RP. New VO, new animations, the magical girl fantasy executed perfectly. Her charm (E) leaves a trail of stars and the sound design on it is crisp. Kibo, her familiar, follows her around and reacts to abilities. Not sure if it's just me but the auto attack animation on Star Guardian feels smoother than base. Might be placebo. Probably is. Still cant shake the feeling though.

Spirit Blossom Ahri is the other Legendary and it leans into the romantic, ethereal vibe. 1820 RP again. The spirit realm aesthetic works perfectly with her kit because Ahri's lore is already about consuming souls. Her ult dashes leave cherry blossom petals. The interactions with other Spirit Blossom skins in game are a nice touch. My Ahri one-trick friend in Diamond 2 swears this is the definitive Ahri skin and honestly I get it.

Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri came later as a Legendary follow-up. Same thematic universe but spring festival variant. Different color palette, different mood. Think of it as the daytime version. The abilities read cleaner on Summoner's Rift specifically because the lighter colors contrast better against the green terrain. Been running this in ranked lately and the Q return is easier to track for me personally.

Prestige K/DA Ahri deserves mention even though its Mythic tier with special acquisition. The gold and white color scheme on the K/DA outfit is clean. Not the most mechanically different skin but the prestige factor matters if you care about rarity. Seen maybe five of these in my games across two entire seasons.

Skinlines and Where Ahri Fits Best

Ahri appears in a ridiculous number of skinlines. Star Guardian, K/DA, Spirit Blossom, Coven, Arcana, Elderwood, Snow Moon, Popstar, Challenger, Academy, Arcade. Probably forgetting one or two. She's Riot's go-to champion when they need a recognizable face for a new thematic.

Not all of these fit equally well. Star Guardian is basically designed around champions like Ahri. Magical girl with animal companion, flashy abilities, emotional lore. Perfect match. Spirit Blossom similarly plays into her fox spirit mythology. These two skinlines feel like they were made for her specifically (sidebar: the Spirit Blossom visual novel dating sim thing in 2020 centered Ahri and it wasnt subtle about it).

K/DA works because of the pop star angle. Ahri as the leader of a virtual K-pop group makes thematic sense if you squint. The Popstar skin from 2014 was the prototype and K/DA refined it into something actually premium. Kinda feels like Riot retroactively justified Popstar Ahri's existence by building an entire music universe around the concept.

Coven and Arcana are the darker entries. Coven Ahri specifically goes hard on the witch aesthetic and it's a nice contrast to her usual cute or elegant skins. The E charm on Coven has this dark magic visual that reads completely differently from Star Guardian's stars or Spirit Blossom's petals. Good variety pick when you want something edgier in your ranked games.

Elderwood is fine. Snow Moon is fine. They exist. Not every skinline entry needs to be groundbreaking and honestly these serve the purpose of giving Epic-tier options with distinct color palettes. Sometimes you just want a blue Ahri or a winter Ahri and thats valid.

Budget Picks vs Premium Investment

The Standard tier skins range from 750 to 975 RP. Foxfire Ahri at 750 is the best budget option and I will die on this hill. The fire VFX on abilities actually change the visual read of the champion in a meaningful way. For less than half the price of an Epic skin you get something that feels distinct in lane.

Dynasty and Midnight are the cheapest but they show their age. Season 1 era textures. If you're climbing ranked and want a skin without dropping serious RP, Foxfire is the answer. Period.

At Epic tier (1350 RP), Arcade Ahri and K/DA ALL OUT Ahri are probably the strongest value plays. Arcade has that retro pixel aesthetic with sound effects that pop during teamfights. K/DA ALL OUT has the modern model quality you'd expect from a 2020 skin. Either one gives you 80% of the Legendary experience at 75% of the cost.

Could be coping but I genuinely think Foxfire at 750 and Arcade at 1350 cover the budget angle completely. Everything above that is for Ahri mains and one-tricks who want the full collection. The three Legendaries at 1820 RP each are all worth it if you play her regularly. If you're picking one single premium skin, Star Guardian or Spirit Blossom depending on whether you want the magical girl or the spirit fox vibe. Cant go wrong either way.

Fair warning: the Mythic and Transcendent skins aren't available through normal shop purchases. Prestige K/DA rotates through the Mythic shop and Risen Legend had its own special event. Budget planning doesnt really apply to those. You either have the currency when they're available or you dont.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Ahri have?

Ahri has 20 skins total as of 2024. That includes six Standard tier, seven Epic, three Legendary, three Mythic, and one Transcendent. Massive catalog. She's been getting at least one skin per year since like season 3 and Riot shows no signs of slowing down. One of the most supported champions cosmetically in the entire game.

What is the best Ahri skin?

Risen Legend Ahri if you can get it. Transcendent tier, completely unique everything. If we're talking permanently available skins, Star Guardian Ahri or Spirit Blossom Ahri are both Legendary and both excellent. Comes down to personal preference on the aesthetic. Been going back and forth between them for seasons honestly.

What is the cheapest Ahri skin?

Dynasty Ahri and Midnight Ahri are the cheapest at 750 RP each. Foxfire Ahri is also 750 RP and honestly the better pick of the three. The fire effects on Foxfire actually change how the champion reads in game. Dynasty and Midnight are basically texture swaps from 2011. Your call but I know which one I'd grab.

Does Ahri have a Legendary skin?

Three Legendaries actually. Star Guardian Ahri (2017), Spirit Blossom Ahri (2020), and Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri. All 1820 RP with new voice lines, new animations, the works. Star Guardian was the first and still holds up. Spirit Blossom leans into her fox spirit lore. Three strong options at the premium tier.

What skinlines is Ahri in?

Too many to list cleanly. Star Guardian, K/DA, Spirit Blossom, Coven, Arcana, Elderwood, Snow Moon, Popstar, Challenger, Academy, Arcade. Probably missing one. Riot uses Ahri as a flagship for new thematics so she ends up in basically everything. The Star Guardian and Spirit Blossom entries fit her best in my opinion.

Does Ahri have chromas?

Yeah several of her Epic and higher skins have chroma sets. K/DA ALL OUT, Coven, Arcana, Snow Moon all come with chromas. Some of the older skins dont have them since chromas werent a thing back then. If you want variety within a single skin, the Epic tier ones with chromas give you the most options per RP spent.

When was Ahri's last skin released?

Risen Legend Ahri dropped in 2024. Transcendent tier with special acquisition. Before that was Spirit Blossom Springs and After Hours Spirit Blossom Springs, also 2024. She got multiple skins that year which tracks for Ahri. Riot keeps her in heavy rotation. Safe bet she'll get something in 2025 too.

Is Ahri worth buying skins for?

If you play her regularly, absolutely. Her kit is visually expressive so skins actually feel different on Ahri compared to champions with simpler animations. The charm, the orb, the ult dashes all get meaningful visual upgrades on her better skins. Even at the budget level Foxfire changes the vibe. Good champion to invest cosmetics into if shes in your ranked pool.
