So Riot made 16 arcane skins in LoL. They started rolling them out in November 2021 when Arcane Season 1 hit Netflix, and then the last one (Mel) dropped in January 2025. Ten different champions got skins. The annoying part though? You can not just go buy most of them right now because Riot shoved nearly all of them into the vault.
I got tired of checking five different sites every time someone asked me “wait, how do I get that Jinx skin?” So I made this list. Every skin, every price, every way to unlock them, all in one spot.
All Arcane Skins in LoL: Complete List With Prices
The total count is 16 right now. Caitlyn is the biggest winner with three versions (regular Commander plus the Prestige). Then Jinx, Vi, Jayce, and Ekko each got two. Singed, Warwick, Heimerdinger, Viktor, and Mel have one skin each.

*Vault = Legacy Vault. Opens during special events. See “How to Get” section below.
Quick note: do not confuse Arcane skins with Arcana skins though. The Arcana line is a separate tarot-themed skin universe featuring champions like Ahri, Camille, and Lucian. Completely different thing.
The Original 2021 Batch
RiotX Arcane kicked off in November 2021 and Riot did something nobody expected: they gave away four arcane skins in LoL for free. Just log in, play some games, done. You then got Arcane Jayce, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx without touching your wallet. I remember people on Reddit losing their minds because Riot is not exactly known for handing out free stuff.
Those four came back to the store on December 9, 2021 at 975 RP each. Firelight Ekko then showed up in February 2022 for 1,350 RP (he got delayed, something about development issues). The hoverboard in his recall animation made the wait worth it though.
None of these five have custom VFX or new voice lines though. They are straight character model swaps from the show. That is it. And honestly? People still use them constantly. I still see Arcane Jinx in like every third game. The designs from the show are just that good.
Season 2 Arcane Skins: The Big Expansion
Arcane Season 2 hit in late 2024 and Riot went way bigger on skins this time. Eleven of them total. Three 1,820 RP skins. A gacha-only Jinx skin. And then also a free Singed skin for playing a mini-game. The whole thing dropped in two waves.
Wave 1 (Patch 14.23, November 2024)
Arcane Brawler Vi and Arcane Survivor Jayce came in as Legendaries (1,820 RP each). Arcane Commander Caitlyn was 1,350 RP. The Singed skin was free but you had to beat that Jinx Fixes Everything mini-game to get him. Oh, and Prestige Caitlyn? 2,000 Event Tokens. Through the Arcane pass. Fun grind.
Brawler Vi is insane though. Her punches land with this heavy thud that base Vi does not have. All new walk animations, idle poses, voice lines. Survivor Jayce too. Dude looks like he lost a war. Scratched armor, busted hammer, dark VFX. Playing him with this skin makes the champion feel completely new.
Wave 2 (Patch 14.24, December 2024)
December brought five more. Prof. Heimerdinger, Savior Viktor (1,820 RP), Vander Warwick, Last Stand Ekko, and Fractured Jinx (the one everybody argued about because of The Sanctum gacha pricing).
Viktor is special here. Riot did not just make a skin, they went back and changed his actual base model so League-Viktor looks more like Arcane-Viktor. The Savior skin catches him right before the full transformation. Half human, half… yeah. Anyone who saw Season 2 knows the scene.
Vander Warwick though. Man. The whole Vander-to-Warwick arc from the show, Singed’s experiments, all of it packed into one skin. Purple and pink purple-pink VFX everywhere. And Vi is in the splash art background. That detail alone wrecked a lot of people on Reddit when they first saw it.
The Mel Drop (January 2025)
Arcane Councilor Mel launched alongside Mel’s champion release in January 2025. Since she is the only Arcane skin still directly purchasable in the shop at 1,350 RP, she is also the easiest one to grab right now. No vault, no event, nothing. Want an Arcane skin today? Start here.

How to Get Arcane Skins in 2026
OK so you actually want to buy these things. Bad news though: it depends on which skin. Some are in the shop right now. Most are not. Here is how each path works.
Legacy Vault (12 skins)
Twelve skins are stuck in the Legacy Vault. This is the main reason most arcane skins in LoL are so hard to get. Riot locks them away and only brings them back for events. They open the vault, the skins show up in the shop for a couple weeks, then back in the vault they go. Outside of those windows? Your only real option is praying to the Hextech chest RNG gods or rerolling three skin shards you do not want.
All of them popped back into the shop on Patch 25.23 (November 2025ish) for the Arcane one-year anniversary. When the next vault opening happens is anyone’s guess. Riot does not give much advance notice on these things.
ME Shop (Gold Caitlyn)
The white-and-gold Caitlyn was originally a grind through 2,000 Event Tokens during the Arcane event. Now she pops up in the Mythic Shop for 150 Mythic Essence whenever Riot rotates her in. The shop changes every few patches, so if you see her listed, do not sit on it. She could disappear for months before showing up again.
The Sanctum (Fractured Jinx)
Arcane Fractured Jinx is League’s first Exalted skin, and you can only get her through Riot’s gacha system. Basically it is Riot’s gacha system. You buy Ancient Sparks for 400 RP each, spin the wheel, and pray. Base drop rate is 0.5%. Guaranteed pull after 80 attempts. Do the math on that and you land at roughly 32,000 RP worst case, which is around $250.
I will say the skin is cool as hell. Three forms you can swap between mid-game, custom HUD elements, the works. But dropping $250 on a single skin? That is a hard sell for anyone who is not a Jinx one-trick with money to burn.
Direct Purchase (Mel)
Arcane Councilor Mel sits in the regular RP shop at 1,350 RP. No event pass, no vault wait, no gacha. Just buy it.

Top 5 Arcane Skins Worth Your RP
Can not afford all 16? Here are the five I would grab first.
- Arcane Survivor Jayce (1,820 RP) – Wrecked armor, busted hammer, dark VFX. Feels nothing like base Jayce. Probably the best skin in the whole Arcane line.
- Arcane Brawler Vi (1,820 RP) – The punch sounds alone. Plus the Zaun boxing vibe and that cupcake emote. Worth every RP.
- Arcane Savior Viktor (1,820 RP) – Half-human Viktor mid-transformation. Riot literally changed his base model for this. The canonical Viktor skin at this point.
- Firelight Ekko (1,350 RP) – Mask, hoverboard, rebel outfit. Came out in 2022 and it still holds up against newer skins.
- Arcane Vander Warwick (1,350 RP) – The purple VFX, Vi in the background of the splash art… this one is more about feelings than flashiness.
Wallet hurting? The four OG Season 1 skins (Jayce, Vi, Caitlyn, Jinx) at 975 RP give you the Arcane look without the Legendary price tag. No custom effects or VO, but the character models are straight from the show.
How Much Does the Full Collection Cost?
I did the math so you do not have to. Here is what owning every arcane skin in LoL actually costs.
| Category | Skins | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 975 RP Epic skins (Season 1) | 4 | 3,900 RP |
| 1,350 RP Epic skins | 6 | 8,100 RP |
| 1,820 RP skins (top tier) | 3 | 5,460 RP |
| P. Caitlyn (Mythic Shop) | 1 | 150 Mythic Essence |
| Shimmer Lab Singed | 1 | Free (event expired) |
| Fractured Jinx (worst case) | 1 | ~32,000 RP |
| Total (without Jinx Exalted) | 15 | ~17,460 RP + 150 ME |
| Total (with Jinx Exalted) | 16 | ~49,460 RP + 150 ME |
So in actual dollars, 17,460 RP runs you about $120-130 depending on the RP bundle you grab. Throw in Fractured Jinx though and the total jumps to $350-380. Yeah. Basically everyone I know who collects these just skips the top-rarity Jinx and stops at around $130.
Playing on EUW or NA? Buying an account that already has some Legacy skins on it can cut that cost way down.
Every Arcane Skin in LoL Reviewed (Quick Takes)
Quick rundown on each skin below. What it looks like, what effects you get, whether it has chromas, and whether to spend RP on it.
Arcane Inventor Jayce (975 RP): Season 1 Jayce in his clean outfit with the Mercury Hammer. No new VFX or voice lines though, just the character model from the show dropped onto the Rift. Simple and clean, so Jayce players who loved his early-series look will be happy. No chromas.
Arcane Undercity Vi (975 RP): Vi’s Season 1 look with her jacket, gloves, and that raw street-fighter energy. Same deal as Jayce: model-only, no fancy effects. But it still gets played a lot because the design is just good. She looks like she just walked out of the Lanes. No chromas.
Arcane Enforcer Caitlyn (975 RP): Caitlyn without the hat (finally). Her Season 1 enforcer uniform is sharp and clean, and it matches her personality from the first few episodes well. Also budget-friendly, so if you want a cheap Arcane skin this is a good bet. No chromas.
Arcane Enemy Jinx (975 RP): This is THE Jinx skin for most people though. Braids, crop top, that slightly unhinged energy. No new effects or anything, but the show made this character design so iconic that none of that matters. You see it in every other ARAM game. No chromas.
Firelight Ekko (1,350 RP): This one stepped up from the Season 1 batch. Ekko gets his Firelight mask, the hoverboard on his back, and updated ability visuals with that green Firelight glow. The recall animation has him riding the board, which is a nice touch. He was released a few months late because of development delays, but Riot nailed it when he finally shipped. No chromas.
Arcane Brawler Vi (1,820 RP): Season 2 Vi looking like she just got out of an underground boxing ring in the undercity. Rough jacket, beat-up gloves, way scrappier than base Vi. You get the full 1,820 RP deal here though: new voice lines, unique idle and walk animations, and punches that actually sound like they connect harder. The cupcake emote is also a nice Caitlyn reference. One Paragon chroma.
Arcane Commander Caitlyn (1,350 RP): Season 2 Caitlyn in the beret and cape combo, hextech rifle in hand. Looks like she runs the enforcers and knows it. Ability effects are all blue hextech, nothing over the top but everything matches well. One Paragon chroma. The gold version is a separate skin though (see below).
Prestige Arcane Commander Caitlyn (150 ME): Commander Caitlyn but white and gold. Gold VFX on all abilities, cleaner visuals overall though. Not a massive upgrade over the regular version, but collectors who main Caitlyn will want it. Was originally an event token grind. Now shows up in the ME shop for 150 ME when Riot rotates it in.
Arcane Survivor Jayce (1,820 RP, Legendary): Dude looks rough. Armor trashed, hammer barely holding together. New voice lines that sound tired though, which fits. Darker ability effects too. You load into game with this skin and it feels like you swapped champions. No chromas. Best Legendary in the Arcane line, and maybe the best Jayce skin they have ever made.
Arcane Shimmer Lab Singed (Free, Event Expired): Singed in his Zaun lab coat with purple tubes and vials. Dark and creepy, which makes sense since this is how he looked when experimenting on Warwick in the show. This was free through the Jinx Fixes Everything mini-game, so having it means you are in a pretty small club. Riot has not confirmed whether it will return either, so do not hold your breath.
Arcane Professor Heimerdinger (1,350 RP): Heimer after getting kicked off the Council, running around with Jayce and Ekko trying to figure out the Anomaly. His turrets and abilities have a more grounded, “lab experiment” feel compared to his other skins. One Paragon chroma. Heimer mains who watched the show already know they want this one.
Arcane Savior Viktor (1,820 RP, Legendary): This is the one where Riot adjusted Viktor’s actual base model to look more like his Arcane version. The skin shows him early in the transformation, half human, half… something else. Full top-tier treatment with new VO and ability effects that feel completely different from stock Viktor. Viktor mains do not need me to tell them to run this. No chromas.
Arcane Vander Warwick (1,350 RP): Vander. As Warwick. That sentence either means nothing to you or it just ruined your day. Purple and pink effects on all abilities. Vi shows up in the splash art background, which is a gut punch of a lore detail. One Paragon chroma. Even without the Arcane context, it is still a good-looking WW skin. With the context? Yeah. Prepare to feel things.
Arcane Last Stand Ekko (1,350 RP): Ekko during the final battle from Season 2. Worn down, gritty, with patched-together gear and purple energy on his weapon. Because it is based on the climax of the show, the abilities have a rougher, more desperate feel compared to Firelight Ekko. Want a grittier take on the champion? This is it. One Paragon chroma.
Arcane Fractured Jinx (Exalted, ~32,000 RP max): You are getting three skins for the price of… well, potentially $250. Fractured Jinx lets you switch between three visual forms mid-game, each one matching a different stage of Jinx losing it. There are even custom HUD overlays that change based on which form you pick. The skin looks absolutely wild in-game, no question. But that Sanctum pricing (400 RP per spark, 0.5% chance, 80-pull guarantee) is rough. I can not recommend it unless Jinx is your ride-or-die main.
Arcane Councilor Mel (1,350 RP): Mel wearing her white and gold outfit from the show. Clean, elegant, very “I am on the Piltover Council and I know it” energy. Dropped in January 2025 when Mel became a playable champion. Best part though? She is the one Arcane skin you can just walk into the shop and buy right now. No event, no vault, no gambling. 1,350 RP and it is yours.
Arcane Skins Beyond LoL: Wild Rift and TFT
The arcane skins in LoL are not limited to PC though. Wild Rift players got Arcane stuff too, and weirdly, some of it is mobile-only.
Wild Rift exclusives: Chainbreaker Vi, Prodigy Jinx, Iron Will Ambessa. None of these exist on PC. They look different from the PC versions (Brawler Vi and Fractured Jinx). Even skins that are on both platforms, like Commander Caitlyn and Firelight Ekko, have visual tweaks between the two versions.
TFT went full Arcane for Set 13. Powder, Violet, Vander, Sevika, all playable. Arcane tacticians, Arcane arenas, the whole nine yards. That set is over now though. The cosmetics might rotate back in at some point, but the champions are gone until Riot decides to bring the set back.
Arcane vs. Arcana: What is the Difference?
I see people confuse these on Reddit constantly. Arcane skins = Netflix show characters. Arcana skins = tarot card universe. Ahri, Camille, Hecarim, Lucian, Xayah. Zero connection to the show. One letter difference in the name, two completely different skin lines.
When someone types “Arcana Jinx” on a forum they almost always mean Arcane Jinx. The names are just too similar. Now you know.
Is the Skin Line Finished?
Most likely, yeah. Arcane told a two-season story and Riot has confirmed the show is done. Mel was the last of the arcane skins in LoL, added in January 2025, and there has been no word on new ones. Could Riot do some kind of anniversary drop or a Piltover/Zaun event down the line? Sure. But new cosmetics designed specifically around the show? That ship has probably sailed.
16 skins, 10 champions. That is the collection. Plan around vault openings and check our blog whenever Riot drops a new event announcement.
Smart Tips for Collecting Arcane Skins in LoL
- Only spend on champs you actually play. Buying the full set just because is an easy way to blow $350.
- Hoard your Hextech chests and orbs until a vault event. That is when Legacy skins can drop from loot.
- Got three garbage skin shards? Reroll them during a vault window. You might land an Arcane skin you were not planning to buy.
- Singed’s event skin is gone for now though. Riot never said it would come back. Got it? Flex it.
- Set a reminder to check ME shop rotations for the white-and-gold Caitlyn. She shows up, disappears, shows up again. You just have to catch her.
Or skip all of that and grab a LoL smurf account that already has Legacy skins on it. Way less headache than camping vault events for months. LoL skin mods let you preview how a skin looks in-game before you commit any RP, which is useful. Just remember mods only show on your screen, they do not actually unlock anything.
Piltover and Zaun: The Lore Behind the Cosmetics
Most skin lines take a champion and throw them into some random alternate universe. Star Guardian Jinx, PROJECT Vi, whatever. Arcane skins do not do that. These are the actual characters from the Netflix show, wearing the actual outfits, looking exactly how Fortiche animated them. Riot wanted the game and the show to feel like the same world.
How seriously did they take it? They changed Viktor’s base model. Not just the skin. The default champion model got updated so it looks closer to how Viktor appears in the show. That is a level of commitment you do not see with other skin lines.
The Piltover champs (Caitlyn, Jayce, Mel, Heimer) get the clean Hextech look, all blue and gold. The Zaun crew (Jinx, Vi, Ekko, Singed, Warwick) runs darker. Purple glowing effects, beat-up clothes, grime everywhere. And then Viktor sits right in between the two cities, which makes total sense when you think about his Season 2 arc.
SkinSpotlights made a comparison video showing what changed with Viktor’s model update. You can see all his skins before and after the Arcane redesign.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How many Arcane skins are there in League of Legends?
16 total. Ten champions, split across two Arcane seasons (2021 and 2024-2025). Caitlyn has the most at three skins, and Jinx, Vi, Jayce, Ekko each got two.
How do I get Arcane skins in LoL?
Depends on the skin. Most of them (12 out of 16) are in the Legacy Vault, so you wait for Riot to open it. Prestige Caitlyn shows up in the Mythic Shop sometimes for 150 ME. Fractured Jinx is gacha-only through The Sanctum. Mel you can just buy in the shop right now for 1,350 RP.
Are Arcane skins coming back to the LoL store?
They came back on Patch 25.23 (November 2025) for the anniversary event. Nobody has announced the next return date yet. Keep an eye on Riot’s event schedule because Legacy Vault openings are the only reliable way to grab them.
What is the most expensive one?
Fractured Jinx. She is Exalted tier, locked behind The Sanctum gacha. Each Ancient Spark costs 400 RP, you get a 0.5% chance per pull, and the guaranteed drop is at 80 pulls. That is roughly 32,000 RP or around $250 if you get unlucky.
Which one is the rarest?
The Singed event skin. You could only get him by finishing all three acts of the Jinx Fixes Everything mini-game during the Season 2 event. That event ended. The skin has not come back since, and Riot has not said anything about bringing it back.
Do they affect gameplay?
No. Cosmetic only. Different visuals, different animations, sometimes new voice lines, but zero impact on stats, abilities, or hitboxes. You will not win more games because of a skin.
Can I buy a LoL account that already has them?
Yeah. Places like AgataSmurf sell accounts that already have Legacy skins on them. Can save you a lot of hassle compared to waiting around for vault openings or rolling loot boxes.
